When I had a serious eye issue out of state, I was able to contact him throughout the entire time for a second opinion. Upon returning to MA, Dr. Greene examined me and then personally called one of the top specialists at MA Eye and Ear to have further testing done. The outcome was positive and did not involve surgery suggested by a specialist out of state. I purchase my frames elsewhere ,so I can't speak to that part of the practice. I do know he has never brought up the subject of purchasing glasses from his office with me.

****Buyer be aware ! ***…read more Worst experience ever !! Purchased glasses and contacts . This was the first week of October. I was told my glasses were ready, went to pick it up only for it to be the wrong prescription. I was told it would be sent out to be corrected. I waited 3 weeks , no one called there was no text message. I called to check if my glasses had arrived and was told they had arrived . I went again to target , only to be told by O'Neal the manager that the glasses actually had never been sent out at all. He assured me that it would be sent out and the correct prescription would be done . I waited again another two weeks . Called target optical , they said the glasses were there . Again I went down to the store only to be told the glasses could not be found in the store . O'Neal searched the store and could not locate the glasses in store . Again I was told to come back . After waiting another two weeks he called saying the glasses were in. To my excitement I went down to target again. Only to be disappointed again! The prescription still did not match the lenses that were made . At this point I sent an email to corporate. The district manager Joe called me after three weeks . He did not introduce himself or even look at the email. I had to explain to him what the problem was . Joe's response was very nonchalant. We can refund you $50 for the incompetence of our company! I came back one more time hoping they got the prescription right . Yet again they did not ! I was told I need time for my eyes to adjust to the prescription. The prescription I kept getting from target was made weaker than the glasses I currently wear and much weaker than what my prescription calls for . I asked if I could get a second opinion on the lenses . So I went to another optical store and they confirmed the lenses are weaker and do not match my current glasses or prescription . So far I'm being told just wear the glasses with a weak prescription on it . When I refused to do that and weaken my eyes . I opted to get a full refund . We are in the last week of the year and my only option is to get a refund !! I just walked out of this appointment and feel so much better! I called around looking for a…read moresame-day appointment because I woke up with these horribly irritating bubbles on the inside of my lids. I'm not one to panic, but these are my eyes! And I only get two, so I really wanted to see someone ASAP. She got me in this afternoon and was both thorough and wonderfully easy going. She took my mild hysteria and put the kibosh on it with some clear explanations, common sense and a simple starting point - hot compresses, they were only clogged oil pores. Not wanting me to waste the time away from work, she did a full eye exam as well, helped me understand why I was grumpy with my new glasses (an astigmatism that had never been accounted for) and went over how my particular astigmatism could be difficult to work with (it's on the oblique). Basically, she was easy to deal with and I left satisfied and in a much better mood. The little optical shop she's located in, Pirelli's, seemed pretty cool too!

It's story time: Unbeknownst to me my glasses fell off the nightstand at the hotel during the night. This morning when I got out of bed I heard a CRUUUNCH and realized that I stepped on my glasses and they are bent and broken. You can imagine my panic. I took the broken frames and lens and went looking for an optometrist. The first place I ran to, that was recommended by the hotel front desk, was closed, (this is the third recommendation by the same front desk person that utterly SUCKED, but I digress), and I realized the lens is now missing! So I ran back to the hotel, found the lens (yes!) and looked for another spot. I found one on yelp (5 stars), close to the hotel, and ran there. In the meantime I called the other person working with me, to give her a heads up that I may miss the first meeting today trying to fix the problem. The lab was in this run down building, non-descript entrance, down the hall on a confusing second floor. I entered, still panicked, and showed them what happened. "Let me see what I can do" was the response (with a big disarming smile behind the mask). And with that I handed over my bent frames, lens and all. Long story short; we struck a conversation (he wants to retire in San Diego) and about 15 minutes later the frames were fixed "not perfect but that's the best I can do!" was what Yong, the optometrist said. I couldn't thank him enough! I really couldn't thank them enough for saving the day. I'm thinking of going back to buy a spare set of glasses to give them some of my business. This optical shop is very clean, but it does not have a variety of selection of frames to choose…read morefrom. On top of that, there are couple of major issues with this shop. 1. The shop gives out glasses that do not match the prescription. I don't know whether the Dr. made a mistake writing the prescription, but it happened twice recently; two glasses that we got turned out to be showing blurry vision. We are just baffled why this would happen twice. 2. The delivery of the glasses are not always within the reasonable time. Sometimes, it would get delivered after two months waiting after two calls were made, and no sound explanation why it was delayed mentioned. If you have a good spare glasses, it may not be a problem. But if that is not the case, the customer would have a hellava time. 3. The 3rd major issue with this shop is that after initial services has been rendered getting the glasses, there seems to be no followup procedures. In other words, customer services is poor. This shop seems to be much interested in earning the money, but customer services does not seem to be the part of it. The folks there seems to be reluctant to give customer services because it does not generate money. When we called in for the glasses that does not see well, the person was not happy acting as if there is something wrong with my calling. I wish that they handle the complains better, because it's health related.

She had to wait 2 hours on a scheduled appointment, doctor initial prescription did not work so she had to had another appointment to correct the problem. Even after second appointment she did not get a prescription! At the same time she was asked to pay for all appointments "since doctor spent time on her"! Well, maybe, but we need results from doctor, not merely time with a doctor. We had to go to another doctor and got the prescription in 30 min on the first visit, and lenses fitted just fine. We asked for a refund, and doctor refused! Only with the help of credit card company and several letters we were able to recover our money. Do yourself a favor, skip this doctor.

Dr. Chan and his office assistant proactively brought up my health insurance coverage and contact lens rebate for the best deal. They also price match contacts with places like Costco. I wasn't sure of my FSA balance and they made sure to charge what they could to my card. Overall, great experience and I know I saved a couple hundred. Thank you, I'll be back next year.
