They also pointed out why my older frames weren't the best fit for my face and educated me to the sizing and numbers located on the frame. I've worn glasses now for 20 years, and I've never experienced such top notch service, expedience, and more useful facts surrounding the process. At the end of the exam, the doctor told me that she had "increased my prescription slightly." I used the prescription provided by the office to order new glasses online, but when they arrived, I could barely see through them. I compared the new prescription to my previous one and discovered that, despite being told it was increased, the new prescription was actually weaker! I called the office hoping to get some clarification or have the doctor review it. Instead, the receptionist was dismissive and argumentative. I was told the prescription was based on my responses during the exam and essentially that there was nothing wrong with it. She did not even offer to speak with the doctor. It had only been a little over a week since the appointment. At one point, I was even told that glasses don't necessarily need to be "crisp and clear" and that being slightly off is okay for some people. Seriously? I understand that prescriptions are based on patient responses during an exam, and I wasn't asking the office to reimburse me for glasses purchased elsewhere. I simply wanted someone to take seriously the fact that I was told my prescription had been increased when the written prescription actually decreased--and that I could not see properly with it. The lack of concern and customer service was extremely disappointing. I don't think wanting to see clearly and crisply through a new prescription is an unreasonable expectation.

Although I do not think it's right that Medicare doesn't pay for routine but necessary to buy contacts or eyeglasses exams, I felt some empathy coming back to me. Gladly my eyes haven't changed so I was happy about that. I complimented Dr Hayden on the gal that does the preliminary eye stuff super nice, and the photos of my inner eyeball were way cool and looked like Mars Dr Hayden himself was very nice and explained what he was seeing. He had a Mensa magazine on the table in the waiting room of which he belongs. I am light years in IQ points below that lol but appreciate that a down to earth bona fide genius is my eye Docter. I brought back a pair of glasses because they seemed wonky and the gentleman fixed them while I waited, they were improved but still wonky. I figured maybe it was me, maybe I wasn't giving my eyes a break while viewing a screen when I was supposed to so I kept using them. At my next eye appointment (I go somewhere else for medical reasons) I asked them to check and see if the glasses matched the prescription and they said they were way off, that because of astigmatism it's important that they be centered correctly. So, I called and asked for the owner to talk about the error in the glasses. She did not return my call for about a week and when she did she seemed really defensive saying that it is not possible that the glasses left there with a flaw. Then said that they had to special order the frames because I wanted old frames which I was very appreciative of and thanked her again for. She then said that it had been a year since I got the glasses to which I replied I think it's been 9 months but thinking, who cares, I wasn't asking her for anything. I was calling to let her know that the person working on the glasses may need some more training on centering glasses. And to order new glasses with the new prescription I just received (that I did Not expect free at this point but was hoping for a discount due to driving cross-eyed-ish for 9 months). She finally snapped "you'll need to bring those in." Obviously. I don't think I'll ever go back there, she obviously cares more about not being wrong than she cares about her customers.

I was seen within five minutes of my arrival, the newer services were explained to me which I really appreciated prior to going in to see the doctor, so I knew exactly what was going to happen, again the doctor was knowledgeable and informative and overall, she was really laid-back and supportive. The fact that it's very close to my house it's just a bonus. I would certainly recommend right after I told you to make sure you go ANNUALLY!

Took my wife for an eye exam today. I have been going to a Dr Wladis at this place for years. All…read morethe staff and especially Dr Wladis. He has retired so our appointment was with a Dr Rad. It important that I tell you my wife is handy capped. She suffers from Parkinson's disease , dementia and hearing loss. All the techs that we saw (3) were great very patient with her , kind and understanding. Then me met Dr Rad. He spent less than 10 minutes with her. He looked in one eye had difficulty opening it and told her that they could make her vision clearer with glasses and that she had cataracts that would have to be removed in the future then he left. Now as I said I have been going there for a number of years and my time with the doctor entailed him looking at each eye and call numbers to the tech at the terminal. This is usually a 20 minute process. It was obvious to me Dr Rad was not willing to spend the time with wife. When I got home I called the office (was put on hold for 25 minutes) and asked that my appointment next year be with a different doctor. I also asked that my appointment for August this year be with a different doctor. As I said all the staff (technicians) were great it was just Dr Rad who was awful. If you go there I strongly suggest you see someone other than DR Rad.

Both were very professional and willingly helped adjust my glasses any time I had the need. Several weeks ago, I needed an adjustment as my glasses were crooked (my fault). After adjusting them, I asked a question about a flash I was seeing occasionally. I was told to go to my eye doctor ASAP as the flash COULD indicate a retina problem. I went the next morning and the flash turned out to be a detached retina which has been repaired. Had I not asked the question, I probably would have lost the sight. Thank you, Fred!!

He went in and told the salesman that they were broken, and the salesman said there was no way they were broken- he said you could kick them across the room and they wouldn't break. Then he proceeded to kick them across the room. My 87 year olds father's glasses! When came home, he had this look on his face that I've never seen before, like complete shame. I was horrified; he told me not to make a big deal of it, but I'll never go back, and neither will he. What a shame.
