I went to this Walmart to return an online purchase of a tv because the parts were missing. Well come to find out the serial numbers didn't match. The customer service lady who was friendly called for a team lead to approve the return. Rhonda was her name she came over and said I have to go ask Electronics, she comes back and says you have to get approval from the 800 number to get an online refund. She didn't give me the 800 number the Customer Service lady did, I called and Shaheer was very helpful and patient because the lady paged for Rhonda to come back to the counter several times. A manager walked up a young Hispanic guy, and I hear him tell the customer service lady what she want me to do. My daughter also heard and she asked him what did he mean by the statement if he a manager no response. Finally when Shaheer spoke with Rhonda 10 minutes later she said oh no we can't do a refund because our printer is broken. She never once told me anything about a printer being broken. Because I wouldn't have still been in there waiting for her to speak with the 800 number. The management at this location needs customer service training yes someone dropped the ball with my online order but they should be better trained to deal with these type of situations. read more

The workers took forever, like they were slow with 5 people, almost an hour passed just for a few people, THAT IS HOW LONG IT TOOK, but the service was very nice, they just took too long, so idc bout that part, they just took a lot of time. Some great stuff though, I saw an aisle that was built like a Pokemon collection of cereal, lol. But, why does the food have to be a lot of frozen food, not much people barely gets some of that stuff, but ummm, the frozen foods aren't worth but the greens, the junk ones besides ice cream, hot pockets, and some other few stuff, they don't taste that well, I would give it a 5/10 or 6/10. read more

There's no need to wallow in the Meyer (land) as the Doors said, unless you want to wallow at this pretty awful and poorly-stocked Walmart. Walmart in Meyerland is definitely my least favourite Walmart that I've been to lately. Service wasn't friendly and social distancing wasn't even a thing. They didn't have about 80% of the stuff that I wanted and honestly it just seems disorganized and a very low income area, and they treat the shoppers as such, which isn't very nice. read more

Holy hot cocoa with macaroni cheese. I'm so embarrassed to come shop at this Walmart (610 Loop and South Post Oak area). The parking lot was narrow and confusing with the marking. Customers were rough (not polite) on few times I was here on weekday. My iPhone can't connect to AT&T signal to give me accurate GPS. It made me circling in the parking lot trying to get to the freeway. I wish I brought my map book from last decade. The only thing I wouldn't mind buying is beer. They got cheaper beers here. Sad to say that despite allegedly opening at 6 am and was there at around 810 to get a curbside pick up. I used the code I got to notify that I was coming for the curbside pickup. But then it took me to some walmart website for the app. The number on the sign to call for curbside service in the curbside parking area did not work, no one answered and it went directly to this mailbox has not been set up...? So I called the store main number for 1) curbside: rang and rang no one picked up. 2) Walmart Associate: again rang and rang and rang no answer. So Im done. So I'm reading all these bad reviews on this Walmart. If I compare it to other super Walmarts yes it's not all that great. But it's not a Super Walmart. Same low prices same items throughout the store. Is it the most glamourous place. No, Its Walmart. When I visit a walmart I'm not looking for Target. I'm expecting to go late at night baskets in the parking lot and stockers with boxes in the middle of the floor. Walmart is not a place known for customer service. So the baskets in the parking lot wasn't a problem.. Now I was surprised that the Stock boys were so helpful.. Maybe they had ulterior motives. But they helped me find anything I needed and walked me to it!! I actually did feel safe in the parking lot as well.. I had a very rude and disrespectful encounter with a Wal-Mart "manger", Stephen (the one with poor dental hygiene). I attempted to use a coupon that the self checkout register would not accept. After several attempts to use the coupon, he is send to help me. He tries it himself and it doesn't work. He tells me that it can't be accepted although the coupon indicated no restrictions on where it could be used. I told him I would like the coupon honored. He then proceeds to state, "What is it you do not understand? It's not rocket science." Finding his behavior extremely unprofessional and nasty, I reported the issue to another manager named, Edwin. He said he would report it to the store manager, Clayton. When I didn't hear back from him, I made numerous attempts to reach him and all to no avail. I even reported it to headquarters who informed me someone would contact me, and to this day I've heard nothing. Overall, unacceptable behavior from a Wal-Mart employee and poor representation of the company. Perhaps having people like him in what you call "leadership" roles contribute to the often negative reputation Wal-Mart regularly receives. read more

Walmart is a multi billion dollar corp that features low energy associates who hate their jobs/lives because, although overworked, still aren't afforded a livable wage. So I remind myself to turn up the compassion when I need to contact one for assistance because it generally contributes to more positive experience. But what sends me furious is that this super rich conglomerate somehow can't afford to keep their inventory synchronized with their app, so that their customers don't end up making blank trips during a time when unemployment/gas prices are high. I came to the store to get milk and some other odds and ends and discovered that they do not have any kind of milk for sale at all. They have coolers full of beer and seltzer and wine coolers, and they have coolers with sports drinks and bottles of Starbucks, and they even have a cooler for pet food. This Walmart is not a supercenter. So, what does that mean? It does not carry fresh products this includes dairy too! This Walmart is deplorable. I actively avoid Walmarts due to a vast myriad of reasons. But I needed something boring that only Walmart and CVS stores carry (Sensational gel nail polish, nearest CVS was depleted of the color I wanted - see boring!). Holy god, the cosmetics area was a nightmare. Dozens and dozens, maybe hundred of opened packages, relieved of the actual beauty products - presumably all now stolen merchandise? I wonder if the employees even check up on this area. It sincerely appeared as though the area had been recently vandalized, several times over. The rest of the store fared a little better in terms of less incidences of overt misdemeanors. The layout was very odd though, in terms of random freezer aisle by the snack foods, and stocked with unappetizing options. This isn't a Super Walmart, which might have slightly redeemed my experience there . . . anyway, you'll likely never find me here again. The wait time to check out in the evening is always 1hr minimum because they only ever have 3-4 registers open(on a good day) and half the staff just gawk like this is just normal procedure. What in the world!? Is all I have to say about this Walmart. I am shopping out of my area to see what new finds I come across. I am not sure if I should be writing a review on here pertaining to the McDonald's but I will do that separate as well. The woman in the front with tattoos looked like she hated life and was very nonchalant. The fries were so soggy it was trash! The drinks had no ice and when asked they said they ran out. OMG!!! I ordered some candy from Walmart. They sent the wrong thing. I have emailed them several times only to find out they won't let me return it. I requested a refund and told them I would donate the order to a needy family. I was assured they would issue a refund. This has been going on for 3 weeks for a $28 purchase. Each time they act like I haven't received my stuff if they think I did receive it and just don't want it. I simply can't believe the stupidity. It's very frustrating. This location has no respect for its neighbors! They set off their own alarm EVERY night. They fire up a leaf blower almost EVERY night, usually well after midnight. They drive their forklift back and forth, apparently just to set the alarm off. No one is trying to hide behind the store or break in so just turn the sound off on the alarm. The lights and cameras are more than enough to deter any suspects. The 3rd shift employees don't need to do anything behind the store after 10 pm! The cops have been sent out twice with no improvement. I'd love to hear from anyone at this store about a solution to this annoyance. It was a bright, cold, winter morning, and I found myself stranded in an unfamiliar third-world country called Meyerland. "Who is this Meyer?," I wondered to myself, carefully observing my surroundings for signs of danger, "And why would he intentionally lend his name to such a grimy armpit of a community?" It was early, and I was disoriented. These were the questions on my mind as I wandered through a vast concrete field, my internal compass firmly guiding me towards the only familiar sight I'd laid eyes upon in days: the smiling corporate logo of that makeshift American Embassy, Walmart. It had been days, maybe weeks since I had awoken in a haze, the poison dart having nearly finished me off. The only cure, in fact the only chance at my survival, laid in Aisle 12 of that very Walmart, and my singular purpose in life was to get to it. I should have known that it would be damn near impossible. Facing the front entrance, I locked my jaw, shut my eyes tight, and burst through the doors in a cold sweat. The handles were covered in something sticky. Ew. I was instantly hit in the face with an odor as pungent as a cheap restaurant's dumpster on a blazing August afternoon. I opened my eyes, and quickly shut them again in horror. Savages! On all sides, in every section, lane, and row. And I was caught - they were making no small show of staring me down hungrily, as a tiger would eye a smaller and more delicious tiger. I moved quickly and carefully through the throng of natives, who I thankfully noticed were distracted by some sort of festival, or a form of group hypnosis even. It seemed customary tradition to these people to shove as much brightly packaged junk food as possible into metal push-carts, which were no doubt covered in varied and sundry types of other sticky fluids. The feeding frenzy went on unabated around me, and I was left unharmed for the moment, looking on in shock and disgust at the self-indulgent carnage taking place before my very eyes. Having overcome my initial shock, my purpose crystallized and thoughts grew clearer - Aisle 12 - I just needed to make it to Aisle 12. I pushed my cart along and attempted to blend in as best I could. It was at the moment that I felt a stinging pain in my heel. I had been shot with another poison dart - Alas, I was finished! Damn you, Baron! DAMN YOU! No, wait, it was just some bratty kid that ran into my heel. Ow. I scowled at him, rubbed my ankle, and bravely trekked onwards. After narrowly avoiding being sacrificed at the stake, a minor territorial dispute, a fatal stab wound, and something called a Hot Karl, I arrived at my final destination - the row of A12. There in all its glory was the need antidote which I had come for - compact fluorescent lightbulbs. I found the largest one I could, gingerly cracked it open, and drank the sweet nectar inside. (Not really) Rejuvenated in spirit and body, I sprinted with the fury of a thousand rampaging bulls to get to the front of the store. In my haste and unstoppable momentum, I'm sure I smashed at least three unwitting families into tiny pieces on the way to the checkout. Just literally atomized them. Oops. Upon arriving at the checkout, I wiped the clingy bits of the families off of my shirt, stood tall and addressed the final boss of the Walmart. It was a tall and enchanting creature called Tamicka. She made note of my prescense and stared me in the eye, as if daring me to make the next move. We locked glances, each the victim of an unspeakable desire for another being that can only come from the mutual respect of knowing an equal on the field of battle. I presented my prize from the Aisle of 12 for her approval. She ripped it from my hands. Something beeped. Tamicka leaned in close, and whispered, almost as in a heavy breath, "$105.49". I remember a time when I vowed to never go to a Walmart again... but they lured me there by lying to me about having a bike that I wanted that they said was on super sale. Not only did the bike end up not being there, but there wasn't even a kids bike as cheap as she quoted me. Stupid current me for not listening to smart past me. So Ian, brilliant review... but you forgot the part about the Walmart ass-clown experience where you got so freaked out by the filth around you that you accidentally smashed a light bulb (which you were tossing in your hand after you took it out of the package)... and then with all the honor and intelligence of a 3rd grade bully, you sheepishly said to the store clerk who had to clean up: "oh, deary me sir, the box just opened on its own". Let me tell you the ways I love you, Wal-mart. NONE. After roaming around aimlessly looking for a product, I finally asked for help in the toy aisle from one of the associates. The guy said, "We don't have anybody to help you in the toy section. It's too much stress on the job." I'm not even sure what this means. -- But I was livid afterwards.
