I went to the Green Acres Store today around 6 pm. to return something I'd bought the previous week. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE COUNTER WHICH TAKES RETURNS WAS CLOSED. There was no sign anywhere about why or when it would reopen. There was a DECEPTIVE electronic device that said if I pressed it a customer service person would be called. I pressed it and it then said that the customer service person was "on the way". I waited about ten minutes and then asked the employee at the door. After a little wait more, I was told that Customer Service would reopen at 7:15 pm. Three more customers were in line behind me. I had another purchase to make and went to another department to do that. The helpful employee told me that customer service was closed "because there is a shortage of people, so they can't hire anyone". She was kind enough to let me in on a well kept store secret and told me that the electronics department would be able to help me return the piece of merchandise. WHY ISN'T THAT KNOWN TO ALL EMPLOYEES, IF WALMART TRULY WANTS TO GIVE CUSTOMERS SERVICE????? WHY IS THERE NO SIGN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE TELLING CUSTOMERS TO GO TO ELECTRONICS WHILE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED? The very pleasant employee in the electronics department issued a refund in the form of a gift card. This store has many pleasant and helpful employees and the inevitable few inept employees (but very few). However the corporate Walmart policies and directives, such as closing down customer service at a very busy time of day when people have just left work and are needing to stop at Walmart on their way home are getting WORSE. Walmart has enough money to be redoing the floors in this store and some remodeling but thinks it hasn't enough money to provide full coverage service at customer service let alone on the merchandise floors. There isn't even a single employee assigned to cover specific merchandise areas after the day shift leaves. This really makes me wonder if soon I will be walking into a Walmart and will find that Corporate Walmart now expects customers to stock the shelves themselves before selecting and purchasing merchandise. read more

Your store needs to better mark where you pick up on-line orders. I came into the store tonight to pick up an order....my 1st time in the store. I asked a couple of employees where to go and they told me to go to the doorway at the front door. When i got to this doorway i asked the employees "Am i supposed to enter here for my pickup order?" The employee rudely told me to "step back". Apparently i wasn't supposed to enter the door way, but instead stand outside the door and wait for them to come to me. If that's the case there should be signs or a rope to stop us from entering. I went out of my way to buy a specific thing at this store and won't do it again. read more

I have always had very good service from the Walmart pharmacy at Delta Oaks in Eugene, Oregon. Recently I had to fill a prescription for a very expensive drug. Charla & Peggy worked with my insurance to get them to accept a savings card discount from the drug company. It took quite a bit of time and they hung in there until they got it done. Because of their hard work it lowered my cost significantly. I could not have done it without their help. read more

The location appeared clean and there were employees nearby and ready to help. That was nice to see. My only problem was that my cashier told the customer behind me (after she unloaded) that she'd have to go somewhere else since she could not ring up her alcohol. Obviously the store did not train the employee as to what to say because when the customer asked this or that, the cashier responded in a negative manner. I don't know what happened since I left before the customer was ready to pay. Reminder: Bring your bags or you will need to buy bags. read more

I'm not a fan of Walmart overall, as I don't like chain stores. But it's cheap, and so you deal with it, hating yourself for needing to save money and get good deals, while feeding into Corporate America. Such is life. I'm not a fan of this store overall, because it is smaller than the other two locations. It's better than the one on W 11th in Eugene, but is just terrible compared to the one in Springfield. The one thing it does have going for it is the fact it's not a super store. So it's not quite the zoo of idiot customers as the other two locations. That is appealing to me alone. Although they aren't open 24 hours these days. Somehow when it was the only Walmart, I remember it being open 24 hours. The employees are what kill this store for me. They are stereotypical Walmart employees who only stock shelves and take your money. Anything past that, they have no clue what they are doing. It's both annoying and sad that it feels like they have zero training. I've had to ask questions about where things are, or if they even carry them before. The response is literally the same every single time. It's like that's the programmed/brainwashed response. It's, IF (they have no clue) we have that, it's over there. While pointing in some vague, half-assed direction in the store. So, go wander toward the back of the store, and good luck finding it yourself. I was looking for tortilla strips one day. A bag of cooked/crispy tortilla strips. I found a huge cart/stand thing in the middle of a walkway with tortillas on it. None there. Went to the kind of isle I always find them on in the Springfield store, Nothing. So, I made the mistake of asking. Employee looked at me like I had a third eye and horns growing out of my head, he was that confused. He walks me over to the tortillas. Hands me a package and instructs me on how to cut them into strips. Dude was beyond clueless. I almost started laughing. My husband proceeds to explain to him what we were actually looking for, and I had to just walk away. I was pissed this guy was so uninformed about the products they carry, and so dumbfounded by the idea that I was given instructions on how to make my own tortilla strips. If you're looking for non food related items, this store is decent. I buy pajama pants in here, as they aren't expensive and I wear them around the house quite often. There aren't the terrible/scary "people of Walmart" you have to snap pics of because no one will believe you otherwise. Which is kind of a bonus. Would I return? Ehh. This store isn't a convenient location for me these days, so there's really nothing to bring me in here. Unless I'm at another store very close, I'd much prefer to go to the Springfield location. I stopped in here last night after going to Jo Ann fabrics. I really didn't need much other than some safety pins, and a few other quick items. It has been rainy out, and my fur balls have been stubborn about stepping paws out in the grass so I decided I would stroll down the dog section. They had some cute pink coats I was getting ready to purchase. They looked fancy, with fur around the hood, a bow on the back, embellished stitches...all the works. I was looking at the tags for sizes, and started to look closer and saw something brown. What could that be? A fleck of card board? Dirt? Nope! That looks like a mo fo dead flea! One of the biggest ones I have seen! I grabbed another jacket, oh look! What "F" is that? Oh! Just another bug! Inside the coat! Grab another coat! Oh look more bugs! Sewn inside! GROSS!!! Have you ever instantly had the creepy crawly skin instantly? Well that happened! I went down another isle fast! Saw some different dog jackets that looked a little better. They were hooded, and made of fleece. My fluff balls love my fleece blankets at home, so I know they should love these jackets. I of course inspected them before I grabbed them. They are more of a winter pattern, so there was only grey and reds. I think they were around $10 a piece. Better than bed bugs, or dead bugs...what ever those bugs! Came home and washed them up. Can't wait to see my cute babies with their new coats. Just remember as you buy any clothes this season... buyers beware! Take a peek a little closer! I looked at the tag to see where those cute little pink coats were from... looks like San Francisco. I would have thought off shores! So please pay attention, and wash, wash, wash yo shiz! read more

9-6-2021 16:40 or so I was planning to buy some brake fluid and gloves and was stopped entering from the greenhouse section and was told to leave my laptop bag near the door or in the "locked" shared compartment thing at the other entrance. Never had issues previously, might have been profiled for wearing my gym clothes instead of my jeans. I'll leave two stars out of pity, just because the store looks to be having problems if every other thing needs to be behind glass, but I have no interest in explaining why my laptop is with me or that I keep my keys, wallet, and masks in my largeish "purse" (laptop bag). Usually I just buy brake fluid or whatever at Bi-Mart but I happened to be over there anyways. I had a similar experience at Costco long ago (not laptop bag related) where some old lady sneered at me when I entered to re-print my membership card and haven't gone back alone or renewed my membership since. read more

I don't expect much of any Walmart, but this one was a crushing dissappointment. Where in the world do I begin? Their selection was dissapointing. We needed a toilet bush, they had only two to select from. I need a garden tool to pull weeds, they didn't have it. The food section was a joke. But the worse came when we decided to check out. They had only one cashier, with ten people waiting in line. Walmart cashiers are not known for their speed so we went to the self checkout line. We had to wait ten minutes before we were able to check out. Obviously, Walmart is trying to do away with the cashiers, and train us to check. ourselves out. We will never shop there again. Let me get political for a moment, I am a free Enterprise guy, but Walmart ( who makes billion of dollars) under pay their employees, who in turn apply for food stamps to eat. We are in the midst of extreme weather that hasn't been seen in a decade and surroundung neighborhoods have experienced loss of power for 24 hours. I just walked two miles to find firewood, I'm alone, my family is a state away and my SO is deployed, it's dark, there's sketchy dudes hanging out on the bridge on the way back home that I don't want to pass in the night and my phone is dead. I stop at Walmart to buy a charging box, a cable and an external battery. The store is quite empty. I go out into the entrance lobby and see like 6 outlets. I sit down in a corner to plug my phone in in hopes of finding an Uber back home when the charging Nazi tells me I am not allowed to charge my phone and I have to leave and find somewhere else to do it. Walmart, you're our 'neighborhood market'. If your non-threatening, regular customers need to do as something as simple as charge a phone when all other businesses are closed due to a storm and neighborhood power outages are at a record high, is it really such an issue to allow it? Luckily a dive bar in the same parking lot was generous enough to let me plug in for 5 minutes, allowing me to call an Uber (thus avoiding a sketchy walk home in the dark), tell my parents I'm okay and reach out to my SO. You should be ashamed at the lack of compassion of your employees and their general attitude in a time of neighborhood need. read more

But I bought I can of dry shampoo that was like 8$ and I get home and all the air starts seeping out of it (you can hear it kinda like how a can of soda goes flat) and the liquid is still in there. Haven't even got to use it ONCE, and I go to try to explain and return it and she doesn't even listen and says it's empty. Like no it's not empty the liquid is still in there it's the air the escaped UGH. Super rude, so I called another Walmart and they say oh yeah no problem as long as you have the same card and it's within-in 90 days so I guess that's what happens when you go to the stuck up version of Walmart. read more

1/30/24 1130am I attempted to return an item. Denise and the gentleman tried a number of things, and then we all realized my receipt was past 90 days. I assume she even tried an override at some point, but the system would not allow it. She said, "At this point I/we, the best we could do is treat it as a no receipt, and you could exchange it. But you have to get something in the same department. " I did not have time to shop. I thanked her and left. At 7 p.m., I returned to the store to do my exchange. Not wanting to walk around the store with an item, I stopped at the customer service counter. I explained to Rosa what Denise said, and she said, "I don't know why she would tell you that because you're past 90 days, so I can't do anything" my mind was blown! This is happening because I didn't want to walk around the store with merchandise. I have been in customer for years, so I know, and Denise knew this transaction could happen. Clearly, I purchased the item. It's still new in the package, still the same price even. Mind you, it is also only two weeks past. I respect the 90 day policy. However, I also know it's a guide that can be worked around. Rather than argue with her, I took my item and went to find one other thing I came to get. Apparently the items were not stocked right, so it rang up a different price than I expected. That was the icing I left and decided to write a review. I did call back to the store, but after reading some of these reviews, I decided to call in the morning when I might get the actual manager. Aside from Denny's, Shari's, there aren't too many things that are open for 24 hours in Eugene and Walmart happens to fit the bill for late night adventures. Students can be found frolicking here anytime, but at least this place serves a purpose in allowing people to purchase things all throughout the night. As a result, this place is a gold mine of good deals for students living in Eugene after midnight while Costco remains the treasure of the day time. Like most Walmarts, this place is massive. There is plenty of parking and plenty of deals during anytime of the season. For those who don't have a car, it is a must for people visiting this particular location. I was here to buy some move out boxes and tape and a couple other things. As soon as I got to the self checkout lane one of the employees just stood right behind me and my partner while we were scanning. These boxes were $1.40. Meanwhile there were two white women buying more expensive boxes, but this employee felt it was necessary to make sure WE (brown couple) were scanning these boxes. There were many people at the self checkout but she felt the need to make sure we were paying. Needed to return an item. Was told needed to exchange due to the fact that I did not have the receipt. That was fine. I retrieved the item but was told that I needed to be escorted to customer service with the item. That too would have been fine however since it was Sunday the staff was not at full level. The cosmetic department is about 290 feet from customer service. When I did see someone in a yellow vest, I asked if he could assist me in being escorted to customer service and was told that he is here to help cosmetics reduce her line. I sent this to our local news channel. I just left the Walmart on Green Acres Road a few minutes ago. They refused to let me in without wearing a mask. I showed them my vaccine card and was told WalMart was following the guidelines and everyone still needed to wear a mask. I had the greater call a manager over. Two people showed up and said that it was a corporate thing and that masks are still required at all Walmart's regardless if you are vaccinated or not. I've been in this store twice in the last few days and didn't wear a mask. I even asked the greater at that time and she said that if I was fully vaccinated then I didn't need to wear a mask. ?? Cheap toilet paper but expect to be assaulted by staff following you around. I bike, I carry a backpack or pannier. They have a policy that men can't carry a bag in the store (never mind all the methed our women carrying bags and packs). I'm never going to leave my really nice bags with someone who isn't physically fit enough to chase someone who might run away with my stuff while it's sitting by an exit. Management denied it because they were too prideful to call Mattel for instructions. Left embarrassed and disappointed (came to look at portable DVD players, too expensive). Girl named Quinn shouldn't be working in the make up department. I walk in, and her head is buried in her cell phone. Don't even think she saw me come in. Asked her if she knew of any brands that sold colored mascara. Just shook her head no. Approached me a few minutes later and asked me what I meant. When I repeated the question, she said "no, I don't know of any," and just walked away. Left the area being that wasn't going to get any help. Walk by about 5 minutes later and she is just sitting on the counter talking to another coworker who's mopping the floor. If she doesn't know the different types of mascaras, go around and learn them! The time she was spending shooting the breeze with her co worker, she could have been helping me and maybe learned something about her job. And they all want $15 an hour. This is typical WalMart fashion. You buy a car battery 2yrs. Ago. There is a 3yr. Replacement warranty and they wont honor the warranty without a receipt. Whatever your personal feelings on Walmart the corporation, this review reflects the local store itself. The shop is clean and fairly well organized. I do see a lot of staff working, though few actually acknowledge me or ask if I need assistance. I appreciate that this particular Walmart is not a zoo. Likely because it is not a "super center". That's fine with me. I rarely have to wait in line to check-out and don't have to deal with the stereotype Walmart clientele. Selection and variety are pretty decent - including a beer/wine selection that is pretty good. The fresh produce is seriously deficient, however. I purchase my cleaning supplies here and find the prices match or beat other local options. read more

This was my go to Walmart in town until recently. I went to the cosmetic section and grabbed a 1.98 bag of lavender epsom salt. It was my first stop and I had a lot more shopping to do. I was stopped by the cashier on my way out who treated me like a thief and was told I had to purchase before going out of the section or leave it. I opted to leave it and walk around the corner to the pharmacy and grab the same item and continue my shopping instead of stopping and waiting in an unnecessary check out line before I was done. I have never been treated so rudely in a store. Since leaving and processing the situation I have decided to just go to target where I will spend a little more but not be treated like I am robbing the place. I ordered from Walmart.com. Apparently when you are on their website it could be a third party vendor. The item I ordered was on December 9, 2020. December 11, 2020 I received an email that the order was shipped and on its way December 17, 2020. I was sent an email with the tracking number and everything. On December 17, 2020 I looked up to see where my package was. It was never shipped. The email was a fraud and the tracking number was fraudulent.
