This Walmart is convenient when you don't want to deal with Robinson traffic. It doesn't have a great produce selection but they do sell plenty canned and boxed items. I love their holiday and pet section. Staff is not usually very friendly and the store is always crowded. Parking is usually easy to find though! read more

If you are having items delivered from this location, good luck getting your order. The delivery person will take an up-close photo of your address, but the not merchandise and where it was left. Then, an item will be missing. One order was delivered to the wrong address during the day and they sent me a photo of my order at a location that I did not recognize. Absolutely the worst. Charging takes hours and doesn't last (maybe 15-20 and it's dead again), the suction horrible and after only having it for a couple weeks, it stopped working even though it says it's charged. Thieves. That's what Walmart Corporate customer service said about Robinson Walmart....PLUS are launching a police investigation...FINALLY...allegedly. Yet again, a delivery from Robinson Walmart was stolen by a driver, and the manager refuses to take phone calls, and refuses to come out of his office when I try to complain in person. Walmart customer service told me today, July 29, 2023, that they have had multiple complaints about delivery thefts by the drivers, and that they can never reach the manager about it, as he "will not answer the phone" This has happened more than 3 times to me over the past 2 years, and Walmart NEVER lifts a finger to do anything about it. What happens is you get a delivery notification from Walmart, with a picture of the delivery that is miles away from your house. ....And as is the trend in retail lately, the store (Walmart) does absolutely nothing about the theft. BEWARE: I verified with customer service as we made a replacement order together. EVEN IF you choose "shipping" rather than "delivery", the Walmart system automatically reroutes the order to delivery, and you get NO CHOICE and NO NOTIFICATION. For anyone in the Pittsburgh Area, this means Robinson Walmart, and this means theft by Walmart personnel. read more

Visiting from out of town, just stopped by to grab a single item (contact solution). It was 10:45pm the day before thanksgiving. I just wanted one item. The store is advertised as closing at 11pm. We were turned away at the door at 10:45. We weren't given a reason. Just pure laziness from employees. They don't even man cash registers anymore, they want you to use self checkout. What can I say? It's Walmart. Not the worst I've been in and they actually improved a little over the years. And unlike Target doesn't feel hugely claustrophobic. A Walmart is a Walmart, and I'm honestly not a fan of Walmart. They're open 24 hours; that's the biggest item in their "pro" column. However, I'm a big believer that you get what you pay for. And low prices at Walmart tend to get you a lackluster shopping experience. Design-wise, I find the layout and colors of Walmart to be poor and unattractive. The store's appearance is not inviting in the least - brown floors, off-white/beige walls, poor lighting...it's so depressing. Plus, its layout makes things hard to navigate, especially when you have a cart and you're maneuvering around other shoppers; the store's poor layout can quickly lead to traffic jams galore. This is all assuming you get into the store safely, since (as another reviewer mentioned) the parking lot and entrance is a hot mess. With so many interactions and so many drivers looking to drive in so many different directions in the shopping complex, just parking and getting through the doors safely can take patience. While I occasionally end up shopping here just because I'm pinched for time/budget, when given the choice, I don't set foot here. There are much, much better shopping options throughout the city. read more

I purchased a car battery and some tires from Walmart less than 6 months ago. I took my car to a reputable mechanic a few weeks ago. He told me that "the garbage Walmart battery was dead" and that it had taken the starter with it ($350). He jumped my car and I was able to get it to Sam's club to get gas (10 mins away). It was dead when I tried to start my car and had to get it jumped again to get it to Walmart which theoretically has a 1 year warranty on batteries. They told me that it would be several hours before they could charge the battery to which I replied that I had to pick up my kids. They recommended that I purchase a battery and that they would refund it out when the battery report came back good. I had them swap it and was only 10 minutes late to pick up my kids (1.5 hrs total). They called me that night and told me that the battery tested good so I told them I'd be up in the morning to have them swap it back out. I arrived in the morning and when it was my turn in queue (90 mins or so) they told me that I now owned 2 Walmart batteries and that they wouldn't honor the warranty. I refused this, have no contract with them, and simply disputed the charge with my credit card company. This testimony is being written on the day after the event. read more

I am a fan of Walmart and the low prices like most of America ok.. This particular location is one of my favorites because its convenient and not as crowded as some locations. Let's talk about Walmart's ladies room facilities. Walmart Super Centers are probably one of the most public stores around. As a frequent customer, I would like to wash my hands at a normal sink with actual running water - not a fountain with trickling water? (see picture I uploaded). Every Walmart in the area I have visited - has the same sink in their ladies room. Its frustrating when you really just want to wash your hands and can't because instead of a sink in the ladies room - theres a fountain with trickling water... don't forget to make a wish! read more

My time here at this Walmart location is always subpar. There's not a lot of food options here, maybe about 10/15 aisles of food & only 4 freezer food aisles. So if you're looking to grocery shop to stock up on your fridge or pantry, I wouldn't recommend this Walmart. The shelves are always stocked though so they always have what I'm looking for. I came in for a few items and left with more than what I needed to! I was greeted at the front door with a shopping cart ready for me & a smile on the employees face, so that was nice! I'll definitely continue to shop at this Walmart if I am out this way read more

This Walmart is located in Heidelberg but some would say Carnegie or bridgeville. It's basically in the middle of bethel park Walmart and Robinson. This location is not a super center but they do carry some frozen and cold food items. The selection here is tiny but a lot of the basics you may need they would likely have it stocked. But if your looking for some odd ball items your best bet would be to go out if your way to go to a super center. The staff here are normally pretty friendly and helpful. This store is kept pretty clean compared to some of the other Walmart locations I've seen in the past. There is a nice size self check out area as well. even late at night there's always a few employees at a register to help you with checking out. This location is open 24/7 so that's a big plus because if your between bethel and this one that location closes at 12am. I'll continue to shop here when in the area but it's always much nicer going to a full size super center location I must say. read more

I concur with the other reviewers; this Wal Mart is an abyss of poor layout, sullen employees, and overall dysfunction. Apparently and unfortunately, this is the nearest Wal mart to my new stomping grounds of Beechview, and due to moving into a house, Kay and I have been here three times since I closed two Fridays ago. The sinks in the men's restroom haven't worked at all during each visit. Half of the self-checkout machines do not work. They never seem to have enough cashiers on duty. And Wal Mart is an evil corporation with no accountability to the public. I hate myself for shopping here. Truly. The Mart of Wall's low cost comes with a high pricetag for society. Sadly, if you need something late at night, where else can you go? P.S. My receipt reads "Self Checkout. Fast. Fun. Easy." Really? Are they joking? P.P.S. As far as I'm concerned all Walmart's are the armpits of the world, and this one might just be the worst. Well I'm sure there's one in the deep south that might be worse, but this place is bad. March 26, 2011, my Aunt goes to this Walmart to buy my mother a birthday present, let's say a "widget" which was something my mother didn't want. Fast forward to June 1, 2011. My mother decided to finally return it. So she gets in her little car and makes the trip out to return it and get herself something else. So I called her the next day and she told me how rude the gentleman at the return counter was, and she started telling me how she waited in line 30 minutes to finally see someone about returning the "WIDGET" and getting a "SCANUTER VALVE" instead, The "Oh so happy to serve you" Walmart return associate looks at the bill and says "You can't return this, it's past 90 days and pushes it back to her and yells "NEXT PLEASE!" Anyone with an elderly mother would do what I did, I went to her place, picked up the "Widget" and her and took her to this "ARMPIT" and I stood in line for twenty three minutes waiting to see this guy who sent my dear elderly mother home without her Scanuter Valve. Low and behold the "MATH WIZARD" who thought June 1 was 90 days from March 26 was working, and my luck was double because I got him. I walked up to the counter and said "she was here last night and she wants to return this" and Mr Wizard retorted "Again, this can't be returned, it's past 90 days" and i said "excuse me but June 25 will be 90 days, go ahead and take off your shoes and count, I'll wait." Well he shot me a dirty look, which I returned and he called the manager over. The manager looked at the receipt and said "It's not 90 days yet, I'm sorry sir, yes you can have your money back." Well Mr Wizard wasn't a happy Walmart associate but I was very pleased that the manager was at least a high school graduate and could do simple math in his head. What's the lesson here kids? I picked up an online order today. It's was a fisher price power wheels truck weighing 42 lbs. When the clerk brought the box out of the back it was mangled and had large holes in it. I asked him what happened and he said it must have happened during shipping. I stood there taking pictures of the box while he asked me to sign for it. I guess we'll see soon enough if all of the parts are inside. read more

We live near this store and go there because it's just more convenient for us but it's the last place I would choose, if I could...The management and cashiers are very rude and unprofessional. They are the lowest, most crass employees I've experienced anywhere..did I say nasty and unprofessional? The store is usually out of something I need and the dim lighting makes the whole experience even more dismal...The Robinson Walmart is a little better but then there's the extra gas and mileage to get there...Carnegie Walmart needs a total overhaul and please hire better employees! read more

I am an out of towner from the DMV area. I came to this Walmart with a large group of people on a coach bus on 2/3/18. We are visiting Pittsburgh and needed to make a quick Walmart run. Parking at this location from what I can tell is terrible. A lot of traffic. Inside was like any other typical regular Walmart store. Many people and extremely busy. I needed to get an electronic device so I made my way to that area. The layout again is pretty typical and I was able to find exactly what I was looking for. My issue came with the guy who check me out in the electronic department. He didn't greet me and was paying more attention to another associate who were talking about two men who was in the department. I thought that was rude to do in front of customers. Overall this Walmart isn't terrible so you can definitely find what you are looking for. read more

In general, I'm a fan of Walmart and like shopping there. I'm all for small businesses but sometimes I can't afford to get everything I need at smaller places. THIS Walmart, however...I'm not really sure what was going on with it. The setup was really odd (one entrance, bathrooms hard to spot, disorganized/missing sections). I feel like most Walmarts have had some cute cheap clothes lately, but this one looked like it saved all of its clothing from the late 90's. Also they just didn't have a lot of stuff. The garden section was super pathetic and barely had any plants. The customers all looked like they had the life sucked out of them and were walking around like zombies. Also pretty much everyone would randomly wander in front of your cart, stop, then be confused when you tried to ask them to move. Employees were generally pretty rude and unhelpful. We tried to go through an exit with our cart, and an employee decided that would be a great time to come in through the exit, with 20 carts, walking at approximately 1mph, while completely cutting us off and not even looking at us or saying "excuse me." I left feeling empty inside and pondering the meaning of my existence. Ohh also it was dimly lit, which is never a thing at a Walmart. Only go if there if you must. Get in and out as quickly as possible. There's something in the water. read more

this store is such a disappointment - just came back from shopping there. Waited in line for 15 minutes because there was a handicapped woman who was in front of me and I waited patiently. I had half my items up on the conveyor belt and the cashier was busy talking to another cashier - I thought that they were swapping out. However, the cashier turned to me and said, "oh, you'll have to go to another register because this one is broken." I told her "no, please send a manager I am not getting in another line." Dustin arrived and told me that I would have to go to another register. The cashier also told him that I had only been there for less than five minutes and she needed to go on a break. I told him that I needed to have him check me out at another register and that security cameras would show that I had been in line for a long time. He told me, "no." I then informed him than "fine, I do not want the merchandise and there were more than 20 items. He then stated, "ok, I will check you out here." He didn't apologize. This Walmart is close to my home and I am certain that Dustin will not apologize. read more

I am not a fan of this store. Let's start with the parking lot. To get into the complex and into the Walmart parking lot is like dodging bullets! It's bad enough the people don't know what a stop sign is used for, but to make the entrance with this many intersections is a disaster waiting to happen! The garden department is never a big help (just go to Lowes next door), they never seem to have what you need. I would recommend calling them first to see if they have what you want in stock. Trying to find an associate to help you is not very easy. The way they organized the store is manageable, however items on the shelves look like they are going through a apocalypse! The lines at the check out are awful! The usual 20 registers and only 4 open thing (go to the garden area and check out there). read more

I come to this Walmart all the time. The employees are great, for the most part. There is a young man named Antonio who works in the toy section who is especially helpful and kind. I choose to go here several times a week, I almost always have a great experience at the vision center, the front desk and at checkout. read more
