If you're a collector of current, single-issue comics, that is this store's specialty, but if you want graphic novels or collectibles, you can still order those too. Lou is extremely knowledgeable. He has rarely recommended a book to me that I haven't enjoyed, and he won't steer you in the direction of bad books just to make a sale. Just make sure you have cash in your wallet before you go though, because this store is cash only.

This particular store is in the Village Square Mall. For many years, I purchased books through the business's website. Most recently, my husband and I shopped in this physical store. My husband felt interested in looking at books about software and gaming. He saw some books that he liked. However, he saw one book that he already owns and that he said was not worth the $75 price tag. Otherwise, I felt interested in the books about photography, film, pets, and the social sciences. This store has many other sections of books, including home repair, interior design, gardening, fashion, architecture, cooking, history, science, travel, language, crime, children's, etcetera. Some books are collectibles such as first editions and signed copies. This store also sells calendars, greeting cards, board games, and more. I will give a neutral rating for this physical store, because the business's website has a significantly larger selection of merchandise that is available for shipping.

The staff is extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. They know a lot of information about the individual artisans and about Pittsburgh in general. As someone who loves to travel, I love picking up random items from my travels, little things here and there, but you know most of it tends to be cheaply made stuff that really isn't anything you want to display- mostly stuff you put in a box, but the things sold at Love, Pittsburgh really are works of art. You can get literally pieces of Pittsburgh art, essentially everything sold there is from local artists which makes it even better. Candles, cool postcards, notebooks, coasters, so many cool items, all with a great flare to it that's truly unique to Pittsburgh and again, they're good quality and the prices aren't sky high. The staff there is AMAZING. Super friendly. Super helpful. So nice. Really helpful. Just really makes you really what a great place Pittsburgh is. You're going to find something great here I just know it, whether it's for you someone you love or yourself. OR both.
