It's been really hard to find postcards in town since so many places are closed. While looking around online for pittsburgh themed cards, I found this store. It's small but very clean and is taking Covid seriously. I like that the entire store is local art by local artists. Their selection was impressive and reasonably priced. Born and raised in the region, and a former Mount Washington resident, I love the idea of having a Pittsburgh-themed gift shop in town. On a recent visit home I text a friend and fellow-Yelper on the perfect place to get some PIT memorabilia and immediately she told me, "Love, Pittsburgh". Located on the corner of Shiloh Street, Love, Pittsburgh is a small shop with a ton of charm and friendly staff. Sometimes gift shops can be a little on the corny side and sometimes they teeter on the really expensive side, and I think Love, Pittsburgh does a great job of being right in the middle. Now, you're going to find all types of Pittsburgh items ranging from: Pencils Coffee Mugs Baby clothing T-shirts Postcards Magnets Baseball Caps Pittsburgh themed bullet journals and notebooks Artwork And more. You'll even find some candles, lotions and items of that nature as well. My assumption is those non-Pittsburgh items are locally made, but I'm not 100 percent certain on that because I didn't ask. The pricing is kind of all over the place, ranging from reasonable to a little expensive, but it all depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to rep your current or former city, Pittsburgh. The flagship store for the locally based gift shop and stationary store that is known for carrying many Pittsburgh-style merchandise. Whether or not you're shopping for yourself or someone else, you're blind to find something. I've never left this shop empty-handed. I've gotten a few things here that I really love like a logo canvas tote bag, Yinzer/Godzilla poster, art prints, candles, a couple of kitchen towels and some other things. The name really says it all! It is a store filled to the brim with incredible Pittsburgh themed items. This is not just your average gift shop with Pittsburgh postcards. It's so much more! The majority of the items are Pittsburgh paraphernalia like tea towels, candy, t-shirts and mugs. But there is a well curated selection of Pittsburgh made items that don't have "Pittsburgh inscribed on it." I recognized a handful of makers I've seen at I Made It Market and Handmade Arcade. Like the cool prints from Strawberryluna, candles from Soyil and cute baby onesies from Garbella. The store is so finely curated aka it's not just junk... I want to own half the items in the store! Plus, the owners are such nice people. You just feel good shopping in there and spending money that goes back to a great local business owner. I received the seasonal box for fall through Yelp at the beginning of October. Was very excited to receive it and the it was fun to dig the goodies out of the filler in the box. I thought the items were high quality but didn't feel like I got a lot of bang for my buck. I got a cinnamon sugar blend from steel city co, Halloween themed stickers from Emily McGaughey, a local graphic designer (love her Instagram!), a cute nostalgic Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin Candle, and a potions note book. I loved learning about the different artists and supporting small business. Would definitely get again. read more

After seeing Monica Yope at so many of our Yelp events I was thrilled to hear that she was opening up her own store on Mt. Washington. I read about it in the newspaper and went out to check it out. I also got to meet her co-owner of the shop who is Kelly Sanders. During my visit I also got to meet Blake Anthony who created Pittsburgh style ceramic mugs. The store is more Pittsburgh based goods rather than crafting although Monica told me she eventually hopes to work more of that into it. Inside you will see a lot of Pittsburgh themed goods ranging from Teeshirts, candles, jewelry, wood painting, coasters, and even the Steel city salts which you find in the Strip district on certain days. I noted some of the things they carry are from Commonwealth Press in Mt. Lebanon and Kelly told me I had a keen eye on that because it is true. While everything in the store may not reflect Pittsburgh the goal is to have Pittsburgh people bring things into it so it will be a store that hallmarks our city. Kelly specializes in notebooks and other crafts made from vintage fabrics. I even noticed some glasses made by the soon to be closed Tech Shop with Pittsburgh etching on it. You can get cards, tea towels and so much more. It is located not far from the Mon incline so that tourists can get gifts to remind them of our lovely city. They eventually plan to launch online shopping but that is down the road. I want to get something that Monica herself made and I ended up purchasing a beautiful wood painted wood block of our city for a reasonable price. The store is open Wed-Suns and is located near the Grandview bakery. There is a pay parking lot nearby. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE this shop! Did I say LOVE ??? I wasn't born in the 'Burgh. I grew up in the south. My husband came south to go to college and we met right after. He asked me to get married and then asked me to move to Pittsburgh. We literally moved here the day after we got married. (In May we celebrate 28 years of marriage.). To say that I had culture shock is an understatement. For awhile I was extremely homesick. Then I decided to give this city a chance. I jumped in and fell in love. I have met and made friends with a very diverse group of people who all bring something wonderful to the table. We have raised our two sons here and I'm proud that they have had this opportunity. I said all of that to say that I LOVE anything that celebrates our city. I also have a great respect for artists and for supporting our local community. This shop brings all of that together-our city, small business, shopping local, and talented artists. There was so much to see that I kept walking around. Each trip I saw different things. A few of my favorite items were the Pittsburgh Bucket List in a can. I'm dying to see what all is included. Every time I think I've seen everything there is to see in Pittsburgh I find something new. The print of the city bridges and the map of the boroughs were favorites. There was some amazing pottery/clay works that we're incredible. With wedding season coming i will be placing orders for gifts. Not to mention the kids corner with trains,onesies, and other cute items-just in time for baby showers. I really have to hand it to the store. When they say love Pittsburgh, they really mean it. This store is chock-full of Pittsburgh designers and artists. I love being surrounded by all the Pittsburgh all the time. I was really surprised to see the vast array of talented Pittsburgh artists all in one place. You can find wall hangings, spices, candles, art, honey, jewelry, Etc. What more is there to ask for? All the stuff I believe in the store is either made by Pittsburgh artist or focused on Pittsburgh based designs. I especially liked the pottery by bombabird. She has such a simplistic clean design that appeals to me. I really enjoy the glazes that she uses and how they're very neutral and not too loud. I also think that the wall hangings of the various Bridges could possibly find a place in my home soon. I look forward to coming back and to see how I can incorporate more of Pittsburgh into my house. There's parking on the street so that's not a problem. Nice little store if you're ever up on Mount Washington. The store clerk was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable about the city. They have some nice Artisan crafts, ornaments and cards. I truly feel that this cozy little shop is EXACTLY what Mt. Washington needed! MtW's got diners, bars(/grilles), flower shops and a dollar store... but not too much else as far as businesses go... Enter love, Pittsburgh. I love that it's a lowercase "l" and an uppercase "P", as if the city was writing you a heartfelt note. I love that, despite the small space, they work with almost 60 great local artists, and are committed to Local. This place is ingenious; People are already wandering up Shiloh Street after taking in a powerful view of Pittsburgh, and a lot of the best things about the city are celebrated within the shop. We have SO MANY creative, talented craftsmen and craftswomen in this city, and upon walking in, I recognized a lot of familiar names from all around town. (Daniel Baxter's Kreepy Doll Factory, North Ave Candles, the Bird and the Beard, Audra Auzoury Jewelry, and more!) It's exciting to see these folks doing so phenomenally in local shops! Mt. Washington really needed this store- I have been in anticipation for a while now after hearing Monica from Pop Craft talk about it at various yelp events. I am so excited to say I finally had the chance to stop in on Small Business Saturday. It's an adorable store at the top of Shiloh- meaning it's far enough away from all of the other businesses that parking isn't as difficult to find. I was able to find parking easily, even on a Saturday evening. I was looking for some Pittsburgh themed gifts for my family and was impressed with the selection of goodies to choose from- various flavors of salt from Steel City Salt, espresso products from Zeke's, local made greeting cards, ornaments, jewelry, handmade lotions and body creams, and even toys. I had no trouble finding everything I was looking for. This is a one-stop shop if you're looking for something to get your out of town relatives, or even your in-town relatives- there's surely something for everyone! read more

This shop is so sweet! An awesome alternative to a typical tourist shop. You can get something Pittsburgh themed (i got some adorable yinzer xmas ornaments for gifts, and a tea towel with all the PGH bridges on it) or something beautiful that was made in PGH (pottery, jewelry, candles, etc.).
