love, Pittsburgh's second location is now open downtown! And I am so excited about this. Their main location is up on Mount Washington, so having a second store open in the area I work in is very convenient. The downtown store is a little cozier than the Mount Washington one, although both are relatively intimate and small - very down to earth and perfect for highlighting their stock. Why perfect? Because the store's owners are two passionate women who love Pittsburgh and the talented makers living in the city - and the owners' mission is to provide a storefront for those talented people. That's right: everything in both love, Pittsburgh stores is made by a local creator, making it even easier for people like me to support the artists and makers in the area. Artwork, shirts, jewelry, candles, and toys are just a handful of the things you can find here - I genuinely couldn't list everything available here if I tried. And there are even theme collections to make it easier to shop for birthdays, graduation, holidays, and more. (Pro-tip: the website has a full list of featured artists and makers, if you want to learn more about the people behind the items.) Stop in here ASAP and start shopping, guys. It's never been easier to buy local - and this store is just a delight to be in!

I needed some Pittsburgh postcards so I decided to venture to this little shop that was luckily open two days after Christmas. There is a second location in Mt Washington which I will definitely check out at another point. The door was locked to limit the number of people inside the small shop promoting safety. All you have to do knock and someone will let you in. I was able to peruse the store alone and in peace taking in all the cute treasures and gifts. Everything is moderately priced and more importantly, many small businesses are supported by purchasing these products. For example, I saw some items from Garbella, a Pittsburgh-themed shop located in Lawrenceville. I went in here for postcards which I found two that I really liked. But I also found stickers (wooden and vinyl), Mt Washington tea, and an Alternative History pin. I can't wait to visit the sister store in Mt. Washington!!!

This is the sister store to the original love, pittsburgh that is in Mt. Washington. A couple employees I knew from the other store were there and I got a chance to ask some questions. They carry the exact same merchandise as the one in Mt. Washington but have limited quantities. Everything is devoted to Pittsburgh whether it is jewelry, notebooks, crafts, jerseys, tea towels, candles, soaps, or even cards, they are all locally sourced and made here in the Burgh. If you did want something brought to you from the other store then they will do it. They also have online shopping. Among the more common items you would find is Steel City salt and they are now the exclusive sellers to Zeke's coffee Valentine's blend. I asked at first if that coffee was outdated but later learned that Zeke's prepares it on a regular basis just for them and it would be fresh. Please keep in mind that this is whole bean coffee and with my frequenting Zeke's they currently don't have this blend in stock. They also carry themed merchandise especially for holidays or special events like you would find in Mt. Washington. The staff is very friendly and outgoing and are on hand to answer any questions you may have. I can see this new store will be good for the working to some degree. Please be aware of the fact that this new location is open Wed-Mon from 11-6. They are not open on Tue. This place can be a bit of a hike depending upon where you work downtown. However it is located in the cultural district and makes a great place to stop over If you are in town for a daylight event. Like the Mt. Washington store they too have special events going on which may not necessarily be the same as the original store. If the cost of parking is an issue to you they are close to the Wood St T-station and public transportation is available.

I had the pleasure of meeting Monica Yope a few years ago when she won 3rd Place for her company Pop Craft with Invest in Her (a southwestern organization that supports women entrepreneurs). Previously Monica did Pop Craft activities with Yelpers at many of our Yelp events. Fast forward now Monica has partnered with Kelly Sanders and they both own love, Pittsburgh at two locations, Mt. Washington and downtown Pittsburgh. Their stores support artists from Pittsburgh (including items made by the owners). There's a compilation of various products: Yinzer greeting cards, candles, soda, coffee, Leona's ice cream sandwiches, candies, t-shirts and jewelry for example. I'm sure you'll find something to love made by a Pittsburgh artist.

I adore this shop. Stop in to find a truly special, unique gift for any recipient -- a print depicting the city's famous bridges by strawberryluna, silver earrings in the shape of Pennsylvania keystones by Frost Finery, a pink Himalayan salt and tellicherry peppercorn set from Steel City Salt Co., or a mug with the shop's own sweet "love, Pittsburgh" logo. (These are all items I have personally purchased and can vouch for!) And there's so much more. Everything here is by local artists and makers, many of whom I've previously discovered through markets, but I've been introduced to many new ones through this shop, too. The selection is curated and high-quality. I often stop through the shop just to see what's new, and virtually everything they carry is of a quality that you'd be happy to give or receive. This is not your standard local souvenir shop where everything is black, gold and sports-themed (though there are definitely nods to sports -- check out Audra Azoury's Pirates "P" jewelry). These are elevated Pittsburgh gifts sourced entirely from local small businesses which, I would argue, is a better and more thoughtful representation of the true flavor of a town. I love love, Pittsburgh!

It's the kind of place that immediately feels special -- warm lighting, thoughtfully curated items, and a vibe that's effortlessly charming. The owner was lovely -- super friendly, helpful without hovering, and so easy to talk to. You can tell she genuinely cares about what she carries and the people who walk through the door. Lots of beautiful pieces, including some unique European labels I haven't seen elsewhere. Whether you're looking for a gift or just a little "treat yourself" moment, this spot is it. Can't wait to go back next time I'm in town!

There are a ton of lovely gifts to get here for others or yourself. Many are imports from France or Italy. I wanted to get multiple candles, but left with one candle, one really nice shoulder bag (this is what drew me here in the first place, as I had seen it in the window and returned when they were open), and a lip balm ahead of the chilly winter weather that has arrived! I will say the prices here are a bit high, but everything here is of very high quality, and in comparison to the manufacturer or brand websites of the items I purchased, the prices were actually very close in comparison. It also always makes me feel good to support local businesses that are creating the flavor of the city we live in.
