Kwik Car Oil Change in Richardson Tx is Off My List…read more.. Well, I wasn't sure for a while, but I heard this Kwik Car place was noted for repair scams or suggesting repairs that aren't needed. Regardless, it was close to my house, so I primarily started using them for oil changes. I had been using them long enough to feel a little bit comfortable with the quality and honesty, so last week I had my wife bring in her SUV for an inspection/diagnosis of a leak. She had noticed a little bit of blue fluid on the ground so she asked them to inspect and investigate this. What they told her was that the air conditioner was failing. Specifically that the discharge hose was leaking and that the hose needed to be replaced and the system serviced and recharged. Approximately $800 total for parts and labor was the estimate. Being suspicious of this, I talked to the mechanic first, but as I began to ask more specific questions, he started back pedaling. I didn't opt for the repair, brought the car home and got a copy of the quote and inspection. I looked at it myself and there was no sign of any problem with air-conditioning or the discharge hose. The blue fluid ended up being windshield wiper fluid. I brought the car in to another mechanic that my family has been using for over a decade just to let them fully inspect the vehicle and to confirm my findings. They found the same thing I did. There was absolutely no problem with the air-conditioning system... No sign of leaks and functioning as it should. And the mystery blue fluid was Indeed wiper fluid. The failed wiper fluid pump was to blame and other than that, there were no other leaks. So I have to ask myself how can an oil change place that supposedly employees "automotive" mechanics mistake blue windshield wiper fluid for an AC leak? Air conditioner refrigerant is clear and coolant in this car is orange! And where is this mysterious leak in the air conditioner discharge hose anyway? I ask myself these questions and there's really only one answer. They attempted to scam us on an unnecessary repair, and I caught them in the act. And if by a slim chance it wasn't a scam and the employees really are that ignorant, that's almost worse. Not only will I not be going back here again for a repair, but I will no longer go here for oil changes and will not recommend their service to anybody. So, if you don't like throwing your money away, cross Kwik Car at 1851 N Jupiter Rd, Richardson, TX 75081 off your list.

1 star I am posting…read morean additional review because Firestone management has still not provided any meaningful follow-up or resolution regarding my formal complaint, Case #2977465. I filed the complaint on June 12, 2026, and followed up repeatedly. An area manager eventually emailed me, and I provided a detailed written timeline explaining what happened, why I had lost confidence in the Galloway Avenue location, and why I was requesting a refund. Since sending that response, I have not received a substantive decision, status update, or further communication addressing my concerns. My primary complaint is now the administrative handling of the matter. Customers should not have to repeatedly pursue a large company for basic communication after reporting a serious service problem. Even when a company disagrees with a refund request, management should acknowledge the documentation, explain its decision, and provide a clear resolution. The continued lack of follow-up gives the impression that Firestone's complaint process is designed to delay rather than resolve legitimate customer concerns. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend the Galloway location, and I have serious concerns about Firestone's regional management and customer-service accountability.

He got my vehicle in for the inspection right away, even though they were busy, after the inspection he took me inside the work bay, so I could see what the issue was first hand. Because he knew the repairs would take a little while, the business provided a ride via Lyft to my house, after a few hours Steven G called to inform me that my repairs would take a little longer than expected, and that they would be keeping it over night. The next morning they called to inform me that the work was complete and ordered a Lyft from my house to Breaks Plus for me to pick up my vehicle. When I arrived, he went over the repairs again to ensure I understood what they did. As an added bonus, Breaks Plus gave me a military discount, that reduced my bill by a couple hundred dollars. I have the personal cell phone to Brandon , and Jason who were previously managers at that location. And I was getting to know Steven because I trusted what he told me and I knew he backed the work like every manager I've come to know. But my most recent experience with Steven off for the recent birth of his child. Left me there with Angelo , I believe. My wife's brake lights wouldn't turn off, my friend who is a mechanic said check switch. I bought one and got the old one out but couldn't get the new clip in to install switch. So I drove my wife's car to brakes plus to keep her safe. The fill in manager asked how he could help. I said my wife's brakes lights wouldn't turn off and asked if they could install the switch I had bought , but couldn't get in. He asked how I knew it was the switch I said my friend said start there , he asked what if this doesn't fix it , then I said I'd happily pay for a diagnosis. The mechanic drove the car back to a bay and about 15 mins later it was running outside the door. They said it was fixed and I asked if the brake lights were off and the trac warning was too. He said brake lights were off that the other light was on, but could turn off after driving it. We got home and brake lights or trac warning light didn't turn off. So we both returned and I was upset. I asked what happen to my wife's car being fixed? He told me they installed the switch like I asked. I told him I wanted it fixed like he told me. I asked if they adjusted it and he told me it wasn't adjustable which it can be. I was yelling and and he grabbed the phone to call the police after he said he wasn't going to work on her car and for me to leave. I left the building and tried slamming door , but a safety mechanism in door prevented that and it was left open. I left the property in my truck , and my wife kept insisting her brakes be fixed so it was safe for her to drive. He threw her out too and said he was calling the police because I broke his door. I made it down the road about 5 minutes from the incident. Rowlett police pulled me over and told me they heard I broke their door and it was $1,200 estimate to get it fixed. I told the officer they got me quick , but how did they get the estimate that quick and he agreed it sounded fishy. But the door appeared to be broke, I said I'd pay damages I caused , but the fill in refused. He pressed charges and I was arrested for criminal mischief and trespassing if I return. Less than an hour later me wife drove by in my truck and the door was working. I have a special needs daughter who rides with my wife often. I coach Special Olympics, I'm not a bad guy, I admit I could've been calmer , but the very recent death of our other daughter 2 months ago has me emotional. But he lied and said work was done and lied about my wife's safety. I've spent probably over $20,000 at that one location. Any other manager wouldn't have let my wife leave the store without functioning lights and would've had kept trying. It wasn't the switch after all. It was the brake light switch stop. A bumper stop on pedals. There was also one brake light out and a running light that could've made y'all more money on the sell, and insuring my wife's safety. We will be filing a complaint and seeking legal action for my false arrest. Picture's added of the lights they felt was safe for my family to drive around on constantly.
