Was referred to them after Discount Tire seized one of my Lug nuts, they fixed it but told me I need multiple repairs. Which would cost over $2000. So I took my car to my mechanic for a second opinion, after they looked everything over it was determined that none of the repairs except one were needed bringing the bill From over $2000 to $250. Ultimately I'm displeased with this entire experience if I could give 0 starts I would. I'm playing with the idea of a lawsuit since they advertise " Repairs, Maintenance, Peace of mind". Appointments mean nothing, absolutely nothing. I had an 8am appointment, or so I thought. I arrived at 7:59am and there were already 6 people in line (all with 8am appointments ). I dropped my car off to check for a brake squealing noise. This was a warranty appointment because I just got my brakes replaced by them 2 months prior and they just started making a loud noise. Of course they said they saw no issue with their work...after waiting for over 2 hours. And make sure you call around for pricing. I had my power steering pump replaced at the Rowlett location on 8/30. When I got it back, there was a grinding noise, so I had to drop it off again to get that fixed on 8/31. When I picked it up, they said that they had to bend my TRD skid plate to fix that. That does not seem like a valid fix to me. Today, I pulled my truck out of my garage and the power steering is making noises and not working. Now, I have a puddle of fluid in my garage (pic attached.). I will drop it off yet again today. Very disappointed today i made an appointment to have my car serviced for a oil change and tire rotation. Dropped my car off at 12pm returned to pick it up at 2:30 and it's sitting in the same spot where I left it. The service advisor stated they were getting ready to pull it in when I arrived. I have other plans and could not wait any longer. Brakes plus has always been prompt and would normally take an hour after my appointment time to complete service. This time I never received a phone call or anything with the status. I will not be returning and will find someone else to service my car. read more

Came here on two occasions relating to the same issue, and both times I experienced exceptional service. They completed the repairs very fast and were excellent communicators. What really surprised me was that they got me a Lyft ride both to and from my house so that I wouldn't have to wait there in their shop, both times, for free! I have not seen this anywhere else. So I took my 2017 Toyota Avalon to Rockwall Toyota for a recall. They also did "Automobile Status Report" and told me I needed new tires (knew that), and a four wheel alignment based upon failed front Camber measurements (see pic-left side). Very expensive to say the least! I got some new tires a couple of weeks later and took the Avalon in to these guys for the alignment I needed...turns out the car's alignment is all within spec! (see pic-right side)....when I asked how much? No charge! These guys are honest and awesome! Five stars-thumbs up! Toyota of Rockwall? Not so much..... First off I'm gone start off with im a single mother, I brought my car to brakes plus through recommendation. The price was almost $400 dollars thank God I got paid early but this not even the worse part, as I'm leaving a long day of just getting off work but also sitting in a filthy waiting area, I get in my car to leave after they complete the fixing of my brakes just to get in my car and it wouldn't start. They're trying to hurry and close and proceeds to tell me they had a hard time getting my vehicle out because of the "battery " ..( My car has been running completely fine not even had the car a year 2019 ) I just got a full diagnostic from my dealership Toyota of rock wall and full inspection was done on my vehicle and if the battery was "bad " they would've recommend that service.. Anyways Im upset I recommend everyone to just go to your dealership because I feel like they stole my perfectly good battery and used a faulty.. Horrible place to get service. They ruined by engine today and refused to service or repair it. Threatened to have auto towed to City Pound if I did not remove it from their lot. I had to call a cab to go home in 106 degrees. The shop took my auto and "gunned the motor as hard as he could over and over and over again, until it would not start. It is a 1915 Honda Accord and was in very good condition except for the muffler which is what I came in to have looked over. My auto is ruined and now I do not have an auto. read more

When we needed brakes for my truck they matched the best prices I found on the internet and gave me higher quality brakes for the life of my vehicle. They stand behind their work! As a disabled Vietnam veteran I live with my wife on SS and VA disability so I don't have much money for repairs. I'm a mechanic, so I should know a good shop. So your question is, "if you're a mechanic, what are you doing at Brakes Plus?" Excellent question. I can't do alignments, so I have to rely on shops to do the alignments for me. What makes Brakes Plus better than other shops? They're pretty quick, they take reservations during the week (meaning not weekends), they do a good job and they don't try to bait and switch you at the last moment. I've had other shops not honor coupons, but this place took my coupon and even though the advertised original price was less than their current pricing, they honored it. It was a double discount. Even better, they have free wi-fi and a TV to watch in the waiting area. I'll go back to them again, even when they're 20 minutes away and there's a shop right around the corner from me that does alignments. If you live near these guys, you're very fortunate. This place is a quality shop and they do Brakes Plus other stuff. Stop going to the dealer and get your car fixed for less! read more

Ive been having a squeaky noise in my suv that i needed looked at and decided to stop by and see if i could get an opinion by brakes plus. Ive never been to this location before but i live in the area and thought to give them a try. I drove up into the driveway and got out hoping someone would acknowledge me and ask me what i was coming in for but no there was three techs in the garage and not one of them bothered to talk to me. So i said excuse me sir i need to get your opinion about this noise and he rudely said "yeah its a kia what do you expect". He didnt even walk over to me instead i had to pratically yell from where i was standing to ask my question only to get that very unnecessary rude comment...so i got back in my suv and drove off. Well I'm disappointed because I received a quote over the phone for over $100 LESS than what the dealership would have charged me, but I believe my mistake was telling them how much the dealership was charging me because they ended up charging me more than what the dealership would have charged me when I got there and I took my car from the dealership to have this company fix it because I was hoping to save over $100 and ended up paying more money than the dealership would have charged and that's crazy because everyone knows the dealership is usually much higher than anyone else! And I was told that the resurfacing of the brakes would be part of the charge for brake pads and then it ends up being separate. I just feel like they take advantage of people that don't know much about car repairs, so I won't be back! read more

If I could give them less than one star I would. I explained to the tech this morning I just placed a new battery in the vehicle. NOT ONCE DID THEY SAY I NEED TO DRIVE IT FURTHER THEN FROM MY HOME TO THEM!! Also Texas state law states the inspection location should be able to provide me all of the texas laws having to do with this issue. NOT ONCE did they listen to me as a customer. Kept having problems w/belt, even after warrantied work. I called back up there and spoke w/Mike the manager. He told me to bring it up there and he took a look at it and I left it with him for about an hour and a half. He called and said Power steering pulley needed pressed back on and idler pulley replaced and all at no charge. Happy my squeak is gone. . read more

They've taken care of us for years with the small stuff (regular oil changes) and the big stuff, like timing belt replacements and more. We had an issue with a new car we bought and they were able to pinpoint the problem, and show us that the repair work the dealership said they had done, was not done at all. Without them, we'd never have known the dealership had not done the repairs and we were able to force the dealership to fix the vehicle and cover the costs.
