So I called down there to see if they have the part. They didn't have the item I needed. Well what do I do now I thought to myself? Then I remembered there was another auto parts store up the road. It was Napa. So I drove up there to get my part. Once I entered the store I've received a friendly greeting. I walked up to the counter and proceeded to tell the gentleman what I needed. It took a minute because he had to consult on his computer. Once he found the product he did something unusual. Instead of just telling me where the item was or point to the item, he walked to the back of the store and retrieved the product for me. Now folks I don't have to tell you what this is. This is a great example of what customer service should be! An employee going out of his way to help his customer. Needless to say they found a new customer and to top things off my nephew was with me and he loved the customer service too. Also there prices were competitive with the other store. Wrapping this up, this community could use a few more stores exactly like this.

I didn't know what to expect. If I had known that you could rent a golf cart to go in the yard instead of pushing a wheelbarrow around a 6 football field sized yard filled with 100's of cars I would have done so. Noted. But all the vehicle's were elevated so getting under them was easy. There were engine lifts out there i didn't have to use one so I don't know what or how someone would go about borrowing one. But they have them. The parts are very reasonable and if you are in the tires or batteries, pretty much anything else that you could want or need for a vehicle they have it.

Now I know it's in the name, but just know that you will have to take the part off the scrap vehicle out in the yard. So some basic wrenching knowledge is needed. I took my own tools, but it looked like they had some tools for use out there. Also, if you are looking to get a big part, or a bunch of parts, they have wheelbarrows you can use, or golf carts you can rent for $5/hr ($20 deposit). The $2 yard entry fee was interesting...not sure why they'd charge me to look, but it's only $2. Also if you sign up for their free vip program you get two free entries and $1 entries after that.

I explained that my dash said 15% and according to my last oil change sticker I have approx 600 miles left. After I popped the hood and pulled in with Eric's guidance he came to my window and asked when was my last oil change and I told him and explained what the dash and sticker stated. He said I could drive up to 8k miles between oil changes. The oil was still clean and it didn't need to be changed right now. Steve came back over and stated that they were honest people ( I sincerely appreciate that) and that I didn't need to pay $100 right now. Eric asked me the mileage on my truck and wrote me out another oil change sticker adding 3K to the total. Steve came back over while Eric closed up the hood and changed my dash from 15% back to 100% and told me when it gets down to 20% to come back and see them. I have to say this is my 2nd time at a Take 5 (the first was in Greenwood) and both experiences have been exceptional!
