A friend recommended your shop, and based on your great Google reviews, I decided to bring my car…read morein when my regular place couldn't get me in today. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing and left me feeling frustrated and disregarded. I arrived at 9 a.m. and spoke with Justin. I explained that my car was leaking orange fluid, which I suspected was coolant, although it wasn't overheating. Justin said they could look at it today and that depending on the issue, it might be fixable the same day. I made it clear that I really needed it looked at today because my son has a soccer tournament in Atlanta this weekend, and I didn't feel comfortable driving it until it was checked out. Justin acknowledged this, and I left my car with him. I waited nearly two hours for my ride while my car was briefly pulled into the bay (for about 15-20 minutes) and then parked back outside. After that, I heard nothing for the rest of the day. Between 2 and 3 p.m., I tried calling several times but couldn't reach anyone. Finally, around 3 p.m., someone named Mike answered and told me the shop was 2-3 days behind and that no one would be able to look at my car today. I was shocked, as this was never communicated to me earlier. If I had known that, I would not have left my car there and could have made other arrangements. When I mentioned this to Mike, he told me that it "seems like you really need your car" and that I could come pick it up. I asked why Justin hadn't told me this when I dropped it off, especially since I sat there for two hours. Mike said he wasn't my salesperson and that Justin had already left for the day. When I said I'd been trying to call for an hour, he replied that the phones had been ringing all afternoon. When I came to pick up my car, Mike was dismissive and unprofessional. He stood with his arms crossed, offered no apology, and repeatedly said it wasn't his fault. I asked to speak with someone in charge, but he told me no one was available and that I'd need to call the manager tomorrow. After I pressed the issue, he finally brought another staff member over and introduced me by saying, "This is the lady I told you was upset." The other employee explained that the mechanic had pulled my car in only to check whether the leak was oil-related, not coolant, and then parked it back outside. Overall, this situation could have been completely avoided with proper communication. If I had been told that the shop was 2-3 days behind when I dropped off the car, I would have made different plans. Instead, I spent the day waiting, unable to reach anyone by phone, and now had to rush to find a rental car so I could take my son to his tournament. I'm writing this not just to share my frustration but in hopes that this helps your team improve communication with customers. People understand that shops get busy, but being upfront and courteous goes a long way. I truly expected better based on your reputation and recommendation.

I've purchased tires, go in for tune-ups, big mechanical issues, and this time, brake work and oil change. They have always been very straight with me. I refer friends and neighbors to Gateway every time someone needs great service!

I took it back. They gave me another tire and it did the exact same thing. I called them back and I said what's going on? Did you put a new tire on for me? Yes, we did. I said well what happened? He said, " it was a defective tire", and "now the second one is defected too?! I said "I need to speak with a manager", he came on and they gave me some top of the line tires. So they made it right! But then I went another time and when the young kid lifted my air filter, he didn't know that he had popped off the screw that holds it on underneath...on the Toyota's, it's underneath so two days later, I have a check engine light come on, I had to take it back. They called me and said we are gonna have to put it on the computer to figure out what's going on with this and that charge will be $95 and I said well it's something you did because it wasn't on before They said well that's the only way we're gonna know what's wrong, so they convinced me I needed to pay, but then I ran into an old friend who is a mechanic.. just happened to be at the same Taco Bell as he was! He said "no call them right away. I know exactly what they did Tell them you want to get your car back and he said bring it to me. I'll fix it", and sure enough he did. He saved me $100 but my goodness do they hire unexperienced young kids, who dont know how to deal with different cars? Arent Toyotas pretty mainstream cars? I thought?! However, I do not think they mean to do something like this. I think it's just the luck of the draw. You have to double check things and have to know a little bit. Otherwise their inexperience can be your loss!

The next issue was after I had a different car and I went for my free oil change after buying 4 new top dollar tires and they said I needed a new battery for $400 and new brake PADS for $400, not roters, but pads! The girl was trying to show me this great deal they had for all of that to get done. I said No thank you, I'll buy my battery elsewhere if needed and get pads somewhere else too! Nubrakes ended up coming to my home and I got pads AND ROTERS for less than $300! Valvoline had a very nice coupon for Nubrakes, both of which I highly recommend! My next time there was for an oil change and to rotate and balance my tires. Thank our good Lord, my sister's car wouldn't start and when jumping her off, we raised the hood of my car only to find my engine fluid tank was BONE DRY and all my fluids were never filled, looked at, nothing! They had given me paper work saying they did it all! So, if you go to them, double- check their work, they knew I drive 25 miles to work and 25 miles back every single day, and didn't care that they let me leave believing all of it was checked and filled and ready to take on the interstate at high speed back and forth every day! When I called and let them know, it was like pulling teeth to get anyone to care! I explained that I put my trust in them to do the work, I paid them, I had paperwork saying the work was done, and I asked what would happen if my engine needed fluid and my tank was bone dry? He said they would not be able to add fluid without running tests to see if something was leaking, etc., I said well what would I have done if I'm on the side of the road running hot like that? He said, "oh, you could just fill it with engine fluid"...oh, so I can fill it, but he can't? I don't carry engine fluid with me, do you? He was talking out of both sides of his mouth and all I wanted was an apology and my money back of which he said, "oh no, we can't give your money back!"...of course they can't! But, I can warn all of you to double check the work, hold them accountable, sloppy work isn't okay and will not become my norm and it shouldn't be okay with you or their owner, or regional manager, or CEO! I am easy to please, just do the work I paid for, and if you screw up, admit it and apologize! If you want to keep business, make it right for people! You can give their money back, you can give them a coupon for a free oil change next time or a percentage off, or a sincere apology, and then wow them with good customer service and good quality work! Isn't that what you promise as your companies' motto? Maybe you don' t know it? HERE YOU GO: Here is your words, your motto, not mine! Tell it To Me Straight," reflecting their commitment to honest and transparent communication with customers. The company also emphasizes a "WOW" experience, which is a core part of its mission to deliver better-than-dealership service. The only "wow" I had was "wow, they can do that to someone, let them leave with no fluid and say they filled it and then not make it right, but have the customer run to Advance Auto and quickly fill their own tank with fluid so that they can safely go to work the next day, 25 miles away and back 25 miles with peace of mind? And guess what? My car now has a rattle noise on the right wheel...what is going on? Never did they say come back we will make it right, we are sorry, here is a coupon, NOTHING! That is not a good place to do business, how can I trust them anymore?

Let me start off by saying this will be a story, a long and detailed account as I want it to go…read moredown in the history books as to why it's important for tire service centers to be open on Sundays. There will be a TLDR for those that do not wish to read all of the vast enigmas my mind will conjure up. Anyways - so there I was driving down I-40. And BOOM, my car started to vibrate like I had sound strips on BOTH sides. I do what any reasonable person would do get off on the shoulder and call up my insurance company USAA. Not only did their road side assistance flat out suck they gave me the wrong address and told me it would take TWO AND A HALF HOURS. Now I'm changing bases as a military member. Do you think I have 2.5 hours to waste let alone risking my life on the side of the shoulder from the crazy Nashville drivers? Nah. So I called another tow truck. 45 minutes. Reasonable. But I didn't hear no bell, what daddy wants, daddy gets . So I bust out the Mazda spare under the subwoofer and limp my way to National Battery and Tire. But it should first be mentioned I checked out Firestone across the street and "tHeY wErE sHoRt sTafFed" 1 hour. Just to mount ONE tire. Nah. Wasn't having that. So we checked out NTB. I've never even heard of it, but the Sunday crew there was one of the most personable, professional and courteous I've ever met. They had empathy for me as I was having a bad day and fixed me up, in and out in less than 20 min. And let's be honest, who wants to work on a Sunday, I am so grateful they were there and open. It turned a low point into a positive memory for my military relocation trip. Thanks! TLDR. Popped a tire. NTB put some magic dust on my car and I'm on my way.

Since the recent management change, the customer service has gone downhill. I came in for what should have been a simple repair and was immediately told about all the cars ahead of me and everything going on in their shop, and that they might be able to get to me around 3 PM -- with no guarantee. Instead of focusing on helping me or offering solutions, it felt like I was being made to feel like an inconvenience for even asking for service. I understand places get busy, but that doesn't excuse poor communication or lack of basic customer care. If you can't take a vehicle, that's fine -- just say so professionally. This experience was uncomfortable and disappointing, and because of it, I will not be returning.
