Service was careless and lousy. My vehicle didn't enter the bays and remained outside for almost 2 hours on a day with no cars in the shop.

    Take 5 Oil Change

    (15 reviews)

Went to Take 5 today (Wednesday around 1:30 PM) not even lunch hour, so there's no excuse to be…read moreshort-staffed. I was greeted nicely and offered water, and they said the wait would be about 30 minutes. I was next in line, so I figured that was fair. After 45 minutes, I decided to leave. The same car in front of me had been there the entire time, and I realized even if they called me in right then, I'd be waiting another 45 minutes for an oil change. The tech inside was bouncing back and forth between bays trying to juggle multiple cars at once. No place called "Take 5" should take 45+ minutes for a basic oil change. This isn't on the techs, they looked frustrated, overworked, and miserable. Whoever manages this place needs to hire more people or cut down to one bay, because what's happening now is just poor management. Safe to say I won't be coming back.

Offered to give a 35% Discount over the phone for trying out Take 5 for the first time. Decided to…read moregive This Location a try. On the Phone, I Was Told Not to open the Text until arriving. I arrived and opened the text and did Not receive any coupon or Discount Amount, But the Guy at the Shop said to Not worry, he'll give the discount anyway. That was Not true. Service was okay, but I could've gotten an oil change anywhere else that follows through with what they Offered. Last but Not Least, after the Oil Change I drove straight to work, some of My days are tight. Right After the shift this same day, I turned my car on, and Now the Engine light comes on! I do remember the young fellas and gals were pretty sloppy with the oil pouring and even overflowing on the Washer fluid, I wonder now if I just need to get the Oxygen Sensor cleaned out, or if something ended up spilling on a different plug or wire that now needs to be replaced, which sadly isn't as cheap as an oil change. Oil is still fresh on the top of the engine cover... which is weird because the guy was holding a Nice Sized Funnel... but I'm glad I was standing outside the car behind them watching them do it, just disappointed I have to spend More money even on top of their Non-discounted First time experience. I don't think I'll ever want to visit a Take 5 again, nor would I Recommend to anyone who needs an oil change. Friendly workers, but Scary service.

I had a nail in my tire and didn't know until it was after 5pm the day after Thanksgiving. I had an…read morehour to get to from Ogden to Salt Lake for a dinner reservation and they had several cars in line. When they pulled the tire they showed me it had to be replaced and since I knew that tire had been replaced a year ago and barely driven I was unhappy about having to replace it again so soon. I agreed to replace both tires knowing the other side had never been replaced because it was a more unique tire, which I never ordered or got back in to try to replace it. What I DID NOT KNOW (or didn't remember) was that they rotated the tires on the back to the opposite side when I had the front ones replaced. The tire with the nail was actually NOT the new tire like I thought it was. Martin went to see which tires would be best to place where (I think expecting to put the new ones on the front and move the front ones backwards) to have the best wear on all the tires. He realized the opposite rear tire was very new and came in to tell me WE ONLY NEEDED TO REPLACE ONE TIRE. I was very grateful for the news. Many shops would have told me they replaced but didn't or would have taken the almost new tire and resold it and make a nice profit from it knowing I would never be the wiser. I deeply appreciate their honesty, that they quickly took care of us and we were back on the road much quicker than I expected. All of the employees were very friendly and polite. I was also very impressed by Ikea in the shop when he came to talk to me and determine what they needed to do to help me. I know where I will be going if I need tire service again. Thank you for everything!

I've never had a bad experience with Big O Tires, but the people that run this location are very…read moreshady. They are highly unorganized and have terrible customer service. In September, I dropped my car off because my tire had a slow leak. It took 3 days to get my car back from them. Day 1: I get a call from Victor and he tells me the tire has a crack in it, that there was an issue with the axel (the issue was actually the a cracked rim but he didn't seem to know that at the time). He tells me will need to be kept overnight because a new part will need to be ordered. Day 2: The next day I don't hear back, so I call them. The guy I talk to tells me they didn't get the part yet, but he'll "check". He then tells me the part actually just barely came in and it will be ready tomorrow morning. Day 3: I get two voicemails. The first one is to inform me they are having trouble getting the tire on but apparantly they managed to figure it out because I get a second voicemail telling me my car is done. I go to pick it up and the geniuses that they are, tell me they hadn't started on it because they ordered the wrong part! It turns out it wasn't wrong, it just wouldn't match my other rims and they had ordered the correct rim but it would take another day or two to get it. You think being in the tire business they could get it right on the first try but this location hires very special people. I demanded they fix my damn car. The manager was very unprofessional. He tells me he got my rim used from a junkyard because he's such a nice guy and is trying to save me money. He did all this without consulting me or quoting me a price for a new rim compared to a used rim. His guys waste my time and he has the audacity to tell me that this isn't McDonald's and fixing cars takes time. They sure were able to fix my car in a timely manner, once the rim situation was handled. It took less than an hour! Then he charged me a $50.00 core fee to keep my own rim and threw it in the back seat of my car, because he didn't know how to open my trunk. This location must be doing some stuff on side to stay in business, because taking care of their customers is not a high priority. These guys will waste your time and then overcharge you. STAY AWAY FROM THIS BIG O!

I am beyond unsatisfied with the service I received at Big O Tires in North Ogden. This location…read morehas gone drastically downhill and I won't be returning. First red flag: They don't take appointments. You either sit and wait indefinitely or drop your vehicle off and hope for the best. It's a disorganized first-come, first-served process that feels completely outdated and inconvenient. Now to the bigger issue - my experience: While I was out of town, my wife brought our truck in for four new tires and tire pressure sensors (two had gone bad). Toward the end of the visit, the shop tried calling me -- not her -- to get approval for an alignment. I was at a conference and couldn't answer, but instead of just speaking with my wife who was right there, they pushed the alignment on her. The truck didn't need an alignment. And as soon as I got back and drove it, I noticed the alignment was now off -- my steering wheel was crooked and the truck pulled. On top of that, one of the tire pressure sensors immediately started triggering a warning. I was heading back out of town and had to wait nearly a week before taking it back in. When I returned it, they did take another look and adjusted the alignment -- but then told me I needed to pay another $69.99 to replace a tire pressure sensor. I had to remind them that I had already paid for four brand new sensors. That raised a serious red flag -- did they even replace the sensors the first time, or just charge me for them? To make matters worse, when I went to pick the truck up, they couldn't find the keys. After several minutes of looking, they found them sitting inside the unlocked truck, windows down, in the parking lot -- completely unsecured. This kind of careless, unprofessional service is unacceptable. I've been a Big O customer in the past, but this location has lost my business. If you value your time, money, or your vehicle -- go elsewhere.
