I am beyond unsatisfied with the service I received at Big O Tires in North Ogden. This location has gone drastically downhill and I won't be returning. First red flag: They don't take appointments. You either sit and wait indefinitely or drop your vehicle off and hope for the best. It's a disorganized first-come, first-served process that feels completely outdated and inconvenient. Now to the bigger issue - my experience: While I was out of town, my wife brought our truck in for four new tires and tire pressure sensors (two had gone bad). Toward the end of the visit, the shop tried calling me -- not her -- to get approval for an alignment. I was at a conference and couldn't answer, but instead of just speaking with my wife who was right there, they pushed the alignment on her. The truck didn't need an alignment. And as soon as I got back and drove it, I noticed the alignment was now off -- my steering wheel was crooked and the truck pulled. On top of that, one of the tire pressure sensors immediately started triggering a warning. I was heading back out of town and had to wait nearly a week before taking it back in. When I returned it, they did take another look and adjusted the alignment -- but then told me I needed to pay another $69.99 to replace a tire pressure sensor. I had to remind them that I had already paid for four brand new sensors. That raised a serious red flag -- did they even replace the sensors the first time, or just charge me for them? To make matters worse, when I went to pick the truck up, they couldn't find the keys. After several minutes of looking, they found them sitting inside the unlocked truck, windows down, in the parking lot -- completely unsecured. This kind of careless, unprofessional service is unacceptable. I've been a Big O customer in the past, but this location has lost my business. If you value your time, money, or your vehicle -- go elsewhere. read more

I really hoped that this could be my go to shop since I just moved close by. However these guys are absolutely horrible. I've given them two jobs and they were extremely unprofessional both times. The first job was a week late. And they "lost" my phone number so they couldn't let me know what was going on. They did the work without quoting me a price first, but I just went ahead and paid it because I really wanted to try to build a good business relationship. The second job was a very simple request to swap out summer tires for all season tires. I have custom black wheels on my car and I like them to look nice so I asked them to use black wheel weights and remove the adhesive from the old weights. They agreed, and I agreed to pay extra if needed. I got the car back and to find that they used ugly white weights on my custom black rims. They also didn't remove the old adhesive as was agreed before I gave them the job. I understand that my requests were out of the ordinary but if they didn't want to do them then they should have just been honest so I could have taken my car to a reputable shop who actually gives a damn. The lug nuts are badly over torqued and the tires are badly over inflated. Incredibly sloppy work. These people are straight up clowns. I will never do business with them again. read more

Went in to get my tires rotated and was told it would be a quick process 45 minutes may be an hour and they could get me in and out quickly. After an hour and 45 minutes later. Stupid me for thinking that someone would come and talk to me about the status of my truck. I got up and started to wander the shop only to find out that my truck had been sitting out in the parking lot for the last 30 minutes WITH THE KEYS IN THE IGNITION, where any Tom, Dick, or Harry could've drove off with my truck without anyone knowing because they didn't even know it was in the parking lot. This is the second time that this has happened to me. There's a closer shop that I could go to but because I knew the owners at this shop I trusted but it's now under new management. Looks like I'll be going to the closer Big O now. read more

These guys were great at the North Ogden Big O! Blew a tire on my 5th wheel on a summer Saturday afternoon while traveling cross country. They said to come in and they'd take care of me. They had the right size trailer tire in stock. I wanted to replace 3 - and they pointed out the other 2 were perfectly fine and already the 14 ply upgrade I was seeking - not the 10 ply that blew. Immediately set about replacing the tire. I was in and out in 30 minutes. There was a team of about 6 that helped at some point with the whole thing. Great, fast, honest service! read more

Matt always take care of us. Very honest when it comes to needing tires. Always try to find us the best deals. The rest of the staff is great as well. Only thing that would make it better if they somehow have a courstey shuttle for drop offs and pick up, if the jobs is gong to take longer than an hour or so. Something to think about. read more

I took my car to them, because one would think that they are somewhat professionals. They really are not, not only was the alignment not done, because according to them, it wasn't the problem, but they then told me that the CV AXLE was the possible problem. They did not even diagnose the car and the send my wife on her way driving an unsafe car! Wow. It s hard to believe that they would be ok doing something like this. Took a tire in with only 10,000 miles on the car. They took advantage of my wife and made her replace all 4 tires. I flipped and asked her to take the tires back. They charged her $60 for wasting their time and put the blown tire back on the car. She had to pay again to put the spare on. I'm not impressed. Don't do business with them. read more

They acknowledged me right off the bat and were extremely friendly and helpful. I had the worst, most dishonest, customer service experience of my life at this Big O Tire today. I got a flat and had to drive in on a spare tire. I choose this Big O because it was the closest tire store. I was greeted at the door by a sales rep and I told him I needed to buy a new tire to replace my flat that I believed was beyond repair. He said he would take a look and see if it was repairable. After checking he said it wasn't because of the location of the leak. He said he just got four used tires that had maybe 1,000 miles on them that he could sell for $100/each which he made sound like an amazing deal. I had no idea that I was being asked if I wanted to replace all four tires, my other 3 were only at half life and I was very clear that I only wanted to replace my flat. When he said he just got 4 it simply seemed like a detail. I told him perhaps it's just been a while since I bought new tires because the last time I bought them they were about $100 new. He said that for a new tire I'd be looking at spending $150 and then he took me over to show me the "new" used tires which looked as good as new so I told him I'd go ahead and go with the used tire. I ended up having to wait for a full hour then the sales rep came to get me and told me my new tires were on and he was ready to have me pay. I said: "tires"? "I just came in for one tire!" He seemed really angry at my response and demanded that I just agreed to buying all four tires. I think that if it was just a honest misunderstanding that the sales rep would have said that he was sorry for the misunderstanding and would have offered to hurry and make it right but I felt like I was being pressured to buy all four and I really doubt they would have pulled this sort of tactic on me if I was a man. I'm afraid I didn't take it well at all. The manager had the shop put all my tires back on including the spare. I told the manager that I had never encountered service like this before and I would be leaving a review and he snidely said that he was certain no one that knows me would be surprised by it which is funny since this is only the second negative review I've had to leave. When I left the sales rep was just glaring hatefully at me through the window, it was really quite the cherry on top of a horrific experience. It worked out well for me in the end though because I just went south a few blocks to Discount Tire and they were wonderful. I got a new tire for $77. They couldn't have be more upfront with the way they have you pay before the work is done without any deceptive up selling so your certain of the work and the prices your agreeing to. The wait was only a half hour. But for me, after leaving Big O, the best part was how gracious, upfront and honest they were. The last time a business upset me as much as Big O did today was 11 and a half years ago at a used car dealership when suddenly the price of a car I was interested in went up when I sat down to start the paperwork. read more
