Overpriced I went in with a simple problem of "hey will you identify this clicking noise that just started up?" I then left it in their care expecting a call back later to tell me what it was. The call came except instead of telling me what it was they said the noise wasn't there and neither of their guys heard anything. Except at that point it was already on the lift so they could inspect it. This was Friday close to closing at this point so they kept it over the weekend. I get an invoice on Monday for $185 and a recommended service that would've added another $323. For what I wonder? Oh that's just the single hour rate plus shop supplies and tax. An hour to tell me they didn't hear the noise anymore? That would've taken 5 minutes on a test drive. That's all I wanted. I never asked for them to inspect the whole car for problems (which they did anyway). I certainly wasn't expecting to pay close to $200 for a problem that apparently went away. When I went in to pick up my car, I asked about that. I pointed out that their hourly rate was nowhere to be found and I didn't like that I was blindsided by it after the fact. The owner told me to look on his website. I already had. Just to make sure after I got home, I looked again. Still no mention of the hourly rate anywhere on the website and certainly nowhere to be found in the lobby. This would be a completely different story had they actually found the noise that I'd been hearing and completely different yet again if they'd actually posted their hourly rate. I was fully expecting to pay them for identifying the sound, that's not the problem here. They just straight up didn't do that and instead did extra work and charged me for it. Should I have been clear that if for some reason the noise didn't happen anymore that I just wanted a call back to come pick up my car? Probably. I just didn't at all see that as a possibility because I'd looked and hadn't seen anything super obvious and yet the noise persisted across multiple times turning the car on and off and driving at various speeds. Both of our faults? Maybe. But clear communication earlier in the process would have been awesome. read more

Brought my truck in to have an internal transmission seal changed. Was quoted $450. Almost 9 hours later they call will a $1000 estimate. And everything they wanted to fix had nothing to do with the seal that needed to be changed. I asked why they wouldn't change the seal. They replied with we don't want you to waste money. What a joke, don't want me to waste money, but tried charging me $1000 for issues i didn't bring my truck in for. Horrible business practice. Stay away. read more

Did amazing work on my van, and where extremely honest and affordable. I haven't had tons of experience going to mechanics, though I'd say my overall experience with these guys has been pretty good. They were very accommodating to my busy schedule relative to dropping off and picking up the car, even staying late to make sure I could make it. My biggest concerns with them are that they were a little on the pricey side-- we ended up having them put on new tires on our car while doing other things and we ended up getting a noticeably higher rate than we usually pay for tires-- and they have been quite slow in getting the work done whenever we've gone to them. I'm guessing they just were getting a lot of business, but even still we ended up waiting a week or more for some fairly minor repairs both times I've gone to them. I haven't gone back just because I'm afraid of not having a car for that long again. read more

Worst customer service ever! They said they could perform a service for us on the phone, but then when they got there of course said that we didn't have the right parts and we needed to purchase their marked up parts (even though we actually did have half of the correct parts). They wanted five times the price we paid for the part. Then when we picked up the vehicle unfinished, they had not put the front end back together nor left any of the parts in the vehicle for us! The mechanic literally carried them all out for us and placed them in the back of our vehicle! They said well we didn't want to charge you two hours labor to put them back in! Umm, okay. So my husband put them back in, and it was literally two bolts. It took him about 5 mins! So I go back a few weeks later with the other half of the part I needed and they said sorry we can't do the job now! Honestly??? It's the girl that works there! She is so unprofessional! Has no customer service... and doesn't know anything about what she is talking about. I would never recommend going there to anyone!!! Absolutely kind knowledgeable terrific family business with honesty and integrity... I was in town kind of in an emergency situation and had an issue with my car, they were busy and still diagnosed the issue, added coolant, showed me where my leak was and I made it back home.... They did not even charge me for any labor, just the coolant... Had I lived in Ogden, there is no doubt I would have had them repair my car...
