These guys are straight up, they didn't do any work on my car. But it was because they sent us to the Kia dealership to get the work done under warranty. They seemed knowledgeable and were helpful in getting us where we needed to go to get it fixed. They were all personable and friendly. I brought my 2010 Toyota Tundra in to Chad Arnold for repair in Ogden Utah when I lived in Brigham City Utah because his reputation is impeccable, and I was not disappointed. He and his employees are polite and extremely intelligent in diagnosing problems and repairing them. I am an 82 year old Viet Nam Veteran driving what I hope to be my last vehicle, the 2010 (14 year old) Toyota Tundra Limited. My Air conditioning compressor froze up on a trip home to my current home in Evaston Wyoming from Wisconsin. It was worth the 80 mile drive to Ogden to have Chad's crew repair the damages. Toyota and most everyone says the dash must come out to replace the expansion valve in the Air conditioning system when changing out the compressor, an extensive and expensive operation. Chad's mechanics climbed under the dash board on a 99 degree day to access that expansion valve and change it, replaced the compressor, flushed out the system and serviced it completely repairing my truck air conditioning system and saving me at least a thousand dollars and my sanity over what most other places would have charged. I am confident that Arnold Auto can save me the cost of a new vehicle no matter the problem. Thank you for an honest, impressive, economical, intelligent approach to vehicle maintenance in 2024 that I remember only seeing before in the 1950's. read more

I was referred to them by the Les Schwab store on 12th Street. What I thought was going to be a major and expensive repair was a simple and inexpensive fix. I brought my 20 year old Acura in for them to look at a possible neutral safety lock problem and expected I would have to leave it overnight. Nearly an hour later they called and had me back in business. The team was super nice and I will definitely be coming back in the future, when I need specialized maintenance. read more

We were moving to New Mexico and our pickup's battery light came on. We went to Les Schwabb who tested our battery and discovered our alternator was bad and they recommended Arnold's. We called them and they took us in on short notice and replaced our alternator and got us back on the road. A great group of professionals and I highly recommend them. read more

Quite disappointed. I had been taking 4 of my vehicles to Arnold's for 5 years. Last time was for a hydraulic fluid leak in a Jaguar convertible. In the meantime the one mechanic on duty had cut the tubing at the hydraulic pump I assume for measurement of the tubing diameter purposes. I was told a couple of different times that they were still attempting to get the required tubing. After literally months of waiting on the tubing to arrive it still never did. I took the car directly to the Jaguar dealership in SLC. Within 2 days the tubing was ordered and arrived and was installed. The origin of the leak was the hydraulic fluid reservoir container not the tubing. $500 for the tubing that if it hadn't been cut was perfectly fine. Add the labor of the Jaguar mechanic to install the tubing and the bill was over $1000. Arnold's typically does good work but they certainly didn't get it done in a timely manner nor did they diagnose the problem correctly this time so I'm out $1000+ for nothing. They have too much business for one mechanic to handle by himself. I have since taken my business elsewhere rather than wait 2 weeks to 30 days or longer for repairs to be completed. read more

I'm so happy with Arnold's. My husband took in a car that wouldn't pass inspection, instead of charging us an arm and leg they told us it wouldn't pass and saved us a bunch of money. Great HONEST mechanic. Very knowledgeable and experienced. Did a very through inspection of my Rav 4 and came up with a list of repairs that would need to be done and prices for them. (Instead of just fixing one thing and letting me drive off only to have to fix another expensive problem later on, which is exactly what another mechanic tried to do to me.) He even went to the trouble of finding better prices on parts. In the end, he gave me the info I needed to decide wether or not the car was worth fixing. All at a very reasonable price. read more

I would trust these folks any time!! We landed here from out of town with a busted heater core and they took care of us first thing with a reasonable price to change out the bad core in our rv. They even helped flush out the coolant that had leaked into the passenger side of the van which helped to alleviate the strong odor. I'm sure their service is good, but their customer service is iffy. I called to get a quote on my car, and the lady (I'm assuming a secretary) couldn't give a quote and couldn't give me to someone who could. And when we asked about towing she gave a wide range of prices and said they'd call with more information. However later I got a call from the towing company, who was already on their way, had to cancel, and later got a call from the other lady wondering where we were, when I explained that I'd found a better place she hung up on me and gave a rude remark, the whole time she was kind of a B****. read more
