Service has always been great at the Layton Utah Utah location. However, today was a different experience went to get my oil change and emissions done. Lance was great and professional. However, the tech working with him was completely unprofessional seemed to have an attitude like he didn't want to be at work. I asked to also have the tire pressure checked and he said yes, but had the attitude of it was an inconvenience. If this is how the employees are gonna act at this location I'll go back to the South Ogden one where are the employees actually give a shit. Another thing I would like to also mention is it yesterday evening, Tuesday, September 24 the Layton location was also completely understaffed, which is why I went this morning. It was over $100 for the oil change (synthetic), and then the\y charged ~$32 for the synthetic oil. Why is the "premium" oil change significantly more, if the oil is paid for separately? Won't be going here again. Only thing I liked was not having to wait in a dealership. read more

I went there to get my oil changed on Friday there was very few people there I think there was two or three cars. Waiting to get their oil changed. After they took my information and corralled me in with the cone I sat in the far Lane and watched two other cars get their oil changed and pull away and I was still sitting there with my engine running. The whole take five stay in your car thing is quite the joke to me. Also, 55 bucks for an oil changes just a little bit steep. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone and I'll never go there again I finally ended up having to ask the guy to move the cone so I could leave after I sat there for like almost an hour I think it was 45 minutes. I came in for an oil change and the technicians also looked at my air filter and also checked air pressure. The air filter was just replaced 2000 miles ago. So the filter was put back in BUT 180° off/wrong so this caused the airbox cover not to close correctly but they forced it and stripped out two of the screws going into the air-box with the cordless impact driver. This started giving a lean engine code. The tires have green air cap which indicate nitrogen. I mentioned this to the technician and she replied that they do not have nitrogen there. So why checkedcheck the pressure? I made sure I changed the oil immediately aftemy trip back to Wisconsin but I'm still stuck now with a damaged air-box. read more

Stop by to get a quick oil change since they have a 25% military/veteran discount and they say in and out in minutes. What they don't tell you is how many minutes. One car in front of us and it took over a hour and this place is very expensive for an oil change even with the discount it still cost close to $100 for a simple oil change. The staff was friendly and did a good job but I will not be going back unless I absolutely have to get my oil changed last minute again. read more

I had my oil changed with Take 5 earlier this year. My experience in the shop was pleasant but about 10 minutes later on the freeway, my engine seized on me. I have had three different shops look at it and they all said the same thing. They don't think the oil was actually changed because the oil the mechanic found was dark like Pepsi. I went back and talked to the manager and he dismissed my claim, saying that it's common to see dirty oil in Kia's. Again, the breakdown happened about 10 minutes after having my oil changed, it should not be that dirty, that soon. Because the cost to replace my engine was so great, I have not been able to afford the repairs. The shop manager did send me a video of the oil change but the angle does not show any of the work below the bay, it's only from above. The manager said the video is confirmation that they didn't do anything wrong but there's no way someone can confirm the oil was correctly changed by watching the video. If I could do no stars I would. Service was ridiculous. My grandfather (who was a mechanic for over 40 years and very meticulous about his car) took his car in for an oil change(cold weather and he's getting older). he gets home and notices oil leaking from the car which wasn't before, took it back and they told him he has an oil leak from multiple different places and oil was sprayed all over his oil pan and filter. They give him the number to another place they send customers to to fix issues they find. While looking at it with an actual mechanic we found no leaks whatsoever but that oil had been sprayed all over the bottom of the oil pan and filter to make it look like a leak. Our trusted mechanic cleaned it all up and we haven't had an issue or leak since. It unfortunate that they tried to take advantage of my grandfather. read more

I once again waited until the last minute to register my truck for the year, and I automatically expected to be treated with super annoyed and rude customer service anywhere I went, but I figured I would try take5 because they're doing a promotion for the New location. Anyways, upon arrival I was greeted and offered a bottle of water, which I thought was pretty cool, because I happen to be thirsty, so maybe they can also read minds who knows? Once I pulled in (which was immediately) The service was really quick and every single employee there were some of the friendliest and genuinely nicest customer service I've ever had . They made me feel welcome and I felt like they appreciated my business. I wish I would've asked their names so that I could mention them in this comment but like I said it was everybody there that was super friendly. I don't think this place will ever have a staff as awesome as the current one but I will be sure to recommend this place to everybody and I will be back. read more
