I got my car repaired there over a year ago and this winter my trunk started leaking. I took it to them and they fixed it for free!!! Our car was badly damaged in a recent hail storm in August. Our insurance company (Farmers Insurance) worked directly with Carstar, which made the whole interaction very easy. They fixed every dent with Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) and did such a terrific job that it is impossible to tell that there was any damage on the car, or that any liners or panels were removed in the process. Not only was the repair job exceptional, but they washed the exterior and apparently detailed the interior during the service! Our car is the cleanest that it has been since we bought it new. The total repair (and detail) was complete in 3 business days. They started Monday morning and I got a call first thing Thursday morning that it was done... which was much faster than I had expected. J.K. dealt with us, and he was professional, straight shooting and a delight to do business with. I'm a perfectionist and hardly take my vehicles anywhere to have work on them other than tires.. but this repair was way out of my wheelhouse. I scrutinized the work done and was thrilled. It is very difficult to meet my perfectionist expectations. Carstar not only met them, but exceeded them! I would not hesitate to take my car back to them for any type of body work. While I was there, there was a car in their back lot that caught my attention... I asked J.K. if I could take a closer look. The car itself was nothing too special, but what I thought was a paint job was exceptional. J.K. quickly explained that it wasn't a paint job, but a wrap! I couldn't believe it! Even close up and touching it, I couldn't tell it was a wrap! It wasn't until J.K. opened a door to show where the wrap ended that it was evident that it was a wrap. I was astonished! I would highly recommend Carstar for any body work needs.

The business has an opportunity to improve on their communication. It took 2 months to get my bumper installed. The reason it took so long is because they never follow up to schedule your appointment. Then all of a sudden it would hit me and Id reach out then set a date. I spoke to them about the insurance claim and gave them all the details. They quoted me online which was a plus. Then they said they are going to order the parts. They never contacted me to let me know the parts made it. Then I asked next step. They said we need to do a paint match. I went for the paint match. They said they would contact me to schedule install after it's painted within 2 days. Almost two weeks went by and I realized I wasn't contacted so I reached out to get it scheduled. Dropped it off Monday morning and it was ready by the afternoon. This whole process started on 6/8/23 and was finished on 7/26/23 I understand I could have been more on top of it with faster follow ups, though I do believe it is the business responsibility to be on top of earning business and keeping the customer up to date of their sales process. I'd use them again in the future but I would be more prepared to make sure they get the job done in a quicker time frame. Take note that every person I spoke to during the process is kind and friendly.

Extremely Disappointed -- $95,000 Truck and Unacceptable Repair Quality!…read more If I could give this body shop zero stars, I would. We purchased our truck brand new from Murdock Chevrolet in Woods Cross for approximately $95,000. We originally brought the truck to the dealership for a manufacturer-related issue that was not caused by us. We trusted the dealership to take care of the problem and return our brand-new vehicle to us in the same condition it was in when we dropped it off. Unfortunately, the truck was returned to us with new damage that was not there when we brought it in, including scratches to the paint and bumper. We were understandably very disappointed. The dealership then sent the truck to Higgins Body Shop in North Salt Lake for the repairs. Unfortunately, our experience with the body shop has been equally disappointing. After the first repair, we noticed visible imperfections in the paint, including dirt or debris beneath the clear coat that created an appearance similar to "fish eyes". We brought these concerns to the dealership, and the truck was sent back to the body shop for additional work. When we inspected it after the second repair, we found additional issues, including nicks and marks on the rear bumper and very noticeable sanding marks throughout the quarter panel from the repainting process. For a brand-new, $95,000 truck, this level of workmanship is simply not acceptable. We should not have to repeatedly point out obvious flaws and return a brand-new vehicle multiple times to correct substandard repairs. We are currently waiting to see how this situation will be resolved. We sincerely hope the dealership and body shop take our concerns seriously and make this right. At this point, we have to ask: Maybe it is time for Murdock Chevrolet to consider finding a different, more professional body shop that can provide the level of quality and attention to detail that customers should expect--especially when repairing brand-new, high-value vehicles. If a body shop is going to handle repairs on new, high-value vehicles, customers should be able to expect professional workmanship, attention to detail, and a finished product that meets a reasonable standard of quality. Based on our experience so far, Higgins Body Shop has not met that standard. We would strongly encourage anyone considering having a newer or high-value vehicle repaired here to carefully inspect the work before accepting the vehicle.
