Being relatively new to Austin, I tried three different auto shops for maintenance repairs. ATL's customer service exceeded my expectations, both in kindness and prices. Austin, the gentleman who took care of me, was super welcoming and helpful, finding ways to save me money and thoroughly explaining in detail what was wrong with my car. He went over what was more important and of higher priority. Compared to the other places, which quoted me ridiculous prices before even looking at my car, ATL's approach was far more satisfactory. In short, I've recommended this place to my friends and family and have had my cars serviced here several times. After their inspection, I approved additional repairs and paid $2,006.64, picking up the car on Nov. 17. Within days, the leak was worse. Instead of one leak, I now had two, along with a strong burning-oil smell while driving. I returned on Nov. 21 and was told it was just leftover oil and that everything had been cleaned. That same evening, I discovered the car was leaking from three different places. I brought the car back again on Dec. 2. After no communication all day, I called and was told they found another leaking gasket and wanted an additional $400. I was also told that "oil leaks are tricky on Volkswagens," but a properly diagnosed repair should not turn one leak into multiple new leaks in a matter of days. At this point, I declined further work. I paid over $2,000 and ended up with a car in worse condition than when I brought it in. I requested a refund in writing and never received a response. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this shop.

This is the first Valvoline where the mechanic actually check fluid levels and had me press on…read morebrakes, turn signals and high beams. The New Braunfels location have never done this! In fact I didn't know it was something they did. So I got the oil changed, my air filter was bad so I got a new one, I didn't want to replace it myself which I've done in the in the past I know they charge probably $10 more than if you bought it at AutoZone. But I just didn't want to go through the time doing it myself. I was talking to Austin and letting him know about problems. We talked about cars in general and cars that get high mileage which mine is one of those, 11 years with 255,978 driving a total of 90 miles to work and back Monday through Friday He was really good , he was polite, besides the air filter you really didn't try to upsell me, which I appreciate. I sure like this Valvoline much better than the New Braunfels where I used to go but a little too far for me. Look them up on yelp and there's a couple of coupons. WARNING: KNOW BEFORE YOU GO!!! I wanted a simple Oil Change for my 2021 Toyota Venza. It takes 5 quarts of oil. I had Lambs do my Oil change last time, and it was $69 (expensive to begin with). Today, I took it in again expecting to pay the same and was told it was going to be $99 after they did it. That's even after I presented a $15 off coupon. I commented on the price and was told that is because of oil prices going up and that their standard oil change of $89 had increased to $109. Annoyed, I paid it and drove away. That price seemed really high, so I called Lambs back right after I left and pretended to be a customer who needed an oil change. I gave them the year, make and model of my car and was told that they are running a special for May that all synthetic oil changes that are originally $89 are now $49. Let me remind you, the price I was just quoted on the phone ($89) was lower than what I was actually charged after I had my oil changed ($99), not to mention the $49 deal for this month only. I feel as though I was lied to and mislead. When I called Lambs back to discuss I was told there was nothing they can do now that the ticket has been closed and that I will have to call back tomorrow to speak with a manager. I will do that an then update this review. Needless, to say that is really a very poor business practices, especially given that they also gave me a laundry list of other things I need to get done on my car (e.g. Engine Air Filter replacement, Cabin Air Filter & Labor, Brake Fluid Flush, Coolant Fluid Flush, and Fuel Induction Serviced). Assuming I need those things done, which I highly doubt now and can do some myself, do you honestly think I would bring my car back to Lambs to get this work done? They just shot themselves in their own foot treating me this way, not offering the special upfront, expecting me to know about it when I came in and still lying to me about how their standard oil service has gone up in price when it hasn't.
