I took an appointment today to install 4 new tires on my 2013 Range Rover Sport and to do an alignment. After reaching home, I noticed that the DOT date code showed 0924 - which implies that the tires were manufactured in the 9th week of the year 2024. By that math, the tires for which I paid full price are about 18-months old !!! Now the store manager has asked me to come by again on Wednesday at 10am and has promised to get me real "new" tires. Moreover, the TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM is now flashing on the dashboard which requires a visit to the Range Rover service center. Hadn't expected this from a trusted name like Goodyear and I'll have to say my trust levels are running low with them. Deeply disappointed ! read more

These guys fixed my windshield washer fluid sprayer in 10 seconds (the hose was disconnected) and didn't charge me for it after I had spent 6 hours the previous day at the Hyundai dealership trying and failing to get it fixed. I spent 30 minutes online last night selecting the right tires and scheduling an appointment. Showed up to the store today at the appointed time and was informed that the tires I had selected on the website were out of stock. The only alternatives were more expensive, of course. I selected tires that were in stock, but was informed that the confirmed appointment time didn't matter and I was in the same queue as the walk-ins, and it would be 4 hours. I walked out and now have a confirmed appointment with Discount Tires that will be completed within 2 hours. TERRIBLE experience with Goodyear. Took my car to discount tire today, where my tires are from, and they only found an issue in only one tire, and it was repairable. Turns out I needed new tires, mine were in horrible condition and my dealership (Hyundai on 1-35, HORRIBLE) failed to tell me. The manager here was so helpful! I took a brand new tire in to have it patched. The whole was near the center of the tire and they said it could not be repaired and I needed to buy a new tire for over $200 installed. I had no choice but to trust them. I had to insist on keeping my tire which needed to be repaired. I then took it to 7 other tire shops and they all said it was a very small hole and it could easily be patched without losing any tire integrity. They said this facility is known for ripping off the public and selling them tires when people do not need them. Stay away. read more

Big surprise to earn my loyalty: My left rear tire picked up a large screw. Not wanting to risk the tire going flat and needing to install the spare tire or rely upon the "run flat" ability of my tire, I drove to this Goodyear Auto Service store. The staff efficiently put my vehicle in the service bay to remove the screw and cure the damage. Upon completion, the service tech checked the proper tire pressure on the three other tires. Total fee charge? ZERO. I was very surprised. The manager would not allow me to pay for the service. Loyalty locked. I called ahead to ask if they could patch a leaking tire with a screw in it, they said no problem. Upon arriving, they looked at the tire and told me they wouldn't patch it or put a plug in it because it was old. They told me I would have to buy a new tire. Instead of patching it, they said take it to the east side of austin where businesses don't mind the age of the tire and will put a plug in. If it is customer request to plug the tire, and a business acknowledges it can be done, why won't they do it? Because they don't make much profit on a patch but they do on forcing me to buy an all new tire. Thanks for nothing Goodyear, I definitely won't be buying new tires from you anytime in the future. read more

I needed an oil change and my tires rotated. I called and made an appointment for a few days later. Everyone here is so nice. They don't try and get you to buy stuff for your vehicle that you don't need. Of course they always make suggestions, like the air filter. I told them I could change it myself, they agreed. Even reminded me on my way out. They also have coffee and wifi while you wait. Service was quick. Work was done properly. Employees are friendly. Facility is very clean. We've been to the Westlake location many times with all our family cars. They do a great job and their customer service is of the highest level. I was in the waiting room while my car was being worked on. I was really surprised at how many people come in and are unkind or demanding of immediate service. They had a full load of cars to work on. One man in particular came in almost immediately asking "for the G.M's number!" They bent over backwards to help him and he was still very combative. Ben at the counter was kind, courteous and handled everything the entire time I was there with absolute grace. (Barely eating his now cold lunch 3 hours later because of all the non-stop people coming in wanting to have their issue handled quickly and immediately.) I went in thinking all I needed was a turn signal bulb change (after a failed attempt going elsewhere where I waited for over an hour for them to come back and tell me they couldn't do it), which ended up being a bit more complicated. When I asked the guy at the desk about it his face turned bright red and blubbered out some excuse about how they don't always do it and it depends on how busy they are. I called to inquire on a price for brake pads on my truck. The manager quoted me $450sh and my reply was how much if it is just the front or back and not the whole truck. His reply was to just bring it in and he'd do an inspection and give me the price. I brought it in and they charged me $25 to inspect the pads and then said I needed a whole new brake system ($1,300) and that just the front was $480. I told him that he quoted me $450 for all four pads over the phone and in front of all the other customers said he never said that and that I only asked for a quote on front brakes. Total BS. I then took it to Shell on the corner and they said my brakes were fine and I only needed pads. Saved me $700. They also said they get a lot of business from Goodyear and they lied about needing a full repair. I reported this back to Goodyear and Phil was very understanding. They need to fire the manager there and replace him with Phil! read more

I had a very bad experience here. I hit a pot hole hard and got a flat tire among other damage, right down the street from a Goodyear. Long story short they were oddly reluctant to give me a written estimate (although they gave me the estimate over the phone I wanted it written to shop around) and was told that they'd give me the estimate when I got the car and that couldn't leave my car in the lot for long. I took the car to Sam's Auto Care and they took care of my car for HALF of what they were charging at Goodyear. read more

Scheduled an appointment, but it made absolutely no difference in terms of convenience; had to supply all information from scratch and wait ~4 hours. Despite me setting my wheel lock openly on the dashboard and telling them such, they (suspiciously) tore apart my car and went through all my compartments "looking for it" (including the compartment UNDER where I set the lock), leaving many things scattered around. They tried to severely overcharge me for a pair of brake pads/rotors. Then they told me I had an "irreparable" hole in my tire and tried to convince me to buy a new one from them -- went to Discount Tire right after, who quickly and easily fixed it. This Goodyear returned my car with all the compartments open, stuff pulled out of them, and had left my spare tire cover behind on the shop floor. This is just a textbook example of the type of places that make people paranoid and that news stations do special reports on. Who knows if they actually even changed my oil or rotated my tires. read more

There are two reasons I went here for an oil change: it's open on a Sunday, and it's conveniently located. Overall it is a fine experience, it took a little longer than I had hoped, probably over an hour for the oil change, but it was a Sunday and there were other cars ahead of me. They do a lot of tire business, so that is their bread and butter. The funniest part was an entitled seemingly 18-yo Westlake driver coming in and needing a tire (probably for his Land Rover or Beamer), and the manager explaining to him they did not have that in stock and the nearest tire that would fit was at the 41st street location. Then watching the teen go outside and unload a bunch of foul language on his cell phone in the parking lot, loud enough that those of us inside could hear. I chuckled and so did the manager. So they have a sense of humor here and are courteous, even to obnoxious customers. It is a few doors down from GW by Goodwill, so I didn't mind the long wait so much (or alternately you could walk over to Panera or Trader Joe's and kill time that way while you wait). $30 for an oil change for the synthetic blend using a $5 coupon from the internet. Nothing fabulous about it, but not terrible. I'll probably go back next time I need an oil change on a Sunday. read more

I would never go to this location again. These people are trying to cut corners and are being negligent, especially the managers. I went here for an oil change with a bunch of other benefits that came thanks to a coupon I had purchased for $40 which includes 4 sets of oil changes, tire rotation, wheel alignment check, steering and suspension check, and a 29-point inspection. The manager checked off all the items on the coupon to indicate the items that will be performed on my car. When the car was ready, the sheet that the mechanic usually fills out was almost empty! Only a couple of things were marked - like the washer fluid was low and was refilled! Ok.. I asked about the other things and the manager confidently said that the mechanic would have written something if anything was wrong. Come on man, are you a doctor's office!!?? Atleast you can mark off the things you checked on the car, that's what everybody does when there is a chance you might miss something in a 29-point check. Then I asked about the wheel alignment check, and he said the same thing - it was fine. I mentioned the car steers to the right, and he said it could be the suspension. Then I pointed out that they were supposed to check the suspension as well, and he was stumped. Another manager came out and said that they look at the tires and if nothing seems out of the ordinary then a wheel alignment check is not done on the machine! Right, now they were trying to fool me, I knew that for sure. To confirm that they were playing around, I asked about the 4 wheel tire rotation because even that was not marked on the mechanic's sheet. Then he called the actual mechanic from inside and asked him if the rotation was done, and he replied negative. It was a sad situation, of course he did the 4-tire rotation right then but told me that the alignment check would take time and I could wait. I doubt if the other special things were done at all - hopefully the oil change was done with due diligence since that is a key to a good running car. read more

The first person at 7:30 am and over an hour later, I am still here waiting on my oil change and tire rotation. The service is slow and the gentlemen are anything but friendly. Maybe it's too early on a Saturday morning for customer service? $50 for an oil change with their $5 coupon seems a little steep. I went and got an oil change for $19.99 and didn't have to show them a coupon or anything. They also went over my car and checked everything for free. It took about an hour to look over the whole car but it was def worth the time. They tried to sell me tires which were a little too expensive and the guy who helped me was a little rude but overall good expereance and I will def go back when I need another oil change. read more
