I found Sherwin-Williams' Homescapes paint to be superior to any paint I've used for exteriors in…read more15 years. The staff, particularly the manager of this store however, is inferior to any store manager I've met in the same time. I purchased one gallon and before opening it, found I needed 4 gallons more. I called to find out if SW would take it back in exchange for a 5 gallon can and the manager said, "What do you think I run here, a barter exchange?" Then he wanted the receipt, which I could not find. Then he said to bring it in. Presenting the can, he easily found proof of my transaction and reminded me his store was still (after a month) very low on inventory. This, I learned later is a big problem with SW nationwide. Luckily, the manager found four more 1-Gallon cans and then proceeded to charge me the per-1G-can-price instead of the 5-Gallon can price. I protested, saying he was penalizing me for not having the right inventory. Normally, any other store, let alone a manager of same, will do customer the courtesy of discounting not only the extra cost of his inventory mismanagement, but my inconvenience of having to deal with 5 cans! Nope, this manager wouldn't reason. I even told him how I "broke brand" from my usual vendor (who never had any supply chain problems throughout Covid) to buy his product and how his rude response to my request was going to result in never coming back to Sherwin Williams again, no matter how good their paint was. In front of all his employees, who had come out to learn how he managed his business, he merely shrugged as if it didn't matter. Here is a clear example of a company with obvious C-Level incompetence - SW seems to be the only paint company with infamous supply chain issues - and local store management incompetence. A top-to-bottom failure. I say, stay away from SW and if you're a quant - short the stock. You can't go wrong.

Since it was rather late, I decided that the next morning i would ask for the price adjustment. I contacted them 1st thing today and they refused! The rep said NO even though an identical table was in my cart for $120 less! Unbelievable. They would not let me cancel the order and buy for a lesser price either. The rep refused to get a supervisor and pretended to ask for my call back number and disconnected before i had a chance to provide it. Never will i buy from them again. I recommend Wayfair - real customer service there.

OMG!! What a great hardware store!! It reminds me of the former Ludewig's in Teaneck or one of…read morethose wonderful neighborhood hardware stores that you just read about or see in the movies. The salesperson at G&S Hardware knew EXACTLY what I needed and was so professional and knowledgeable. Now, I don't know the difference between a screw, nut or bolt. So, I was at the mercy of anyone who did. But, I took the remaining "sister" of whatever (nut, bolt, screw) with me to show the person at the hardware store what I needed. I had gone to Home Depot in Hackensack (because I "thought" it would have this missing unique screw, bolt or whatever (from a pair) for some equipment. When I was directed to the "Hardware" aisle, the salesperson didn't know what the heck I was talking about. I showed him the other piece and he galumped to some generic machine screws and handed them to me. I paid for them but I wanted the exact mate of the hardware that was missing. It didn't match the remaining hardware and I was not satisfied (even for this seemingly small item) So, I drove to G&S Hardware on Hudson Street in Hackensack. Rich was the salesperson (more like a connoisseur) and immediately knew what the missing hardware was and went to a small bin to get one for me. It cost me three times less than what I paid for at Home Depot. He told me it was a "T-nut". Now, I have two identical T-nuts for the equipment. Home Depot could not have cared less and didn't know what I wanted. G&S (Rich) did. In this case, it wasn't about the cheap prices at Home Depot, it was the lack of knowledge (and caring) in the Home Depot staff. If you want a knowledgeable and personal experience at a GREAT hardware store, go to G&S Hardware, PERIOD!!

Craftmaster Hardware, is where it's at!…read more I'm a Maintenace Techniacian and a good portion of my job requires locksmithing. I exclusively shop here for all my locksmith needs. Why would I exclusively shop at one place? The answer is quite simple. They have unbeatable prices, fast shipping, and phenomenal customer service! The company I work for has an account with them, so the prices are ridiculously cheap; there's is absolutely no comparison. Their prices are usually 20-25% cheaper than the regular retail price. They're really good about shipping. Anytime I purchase an in stock item, they'll ship it out the same day and I will usually receive it the next day. Their customer service is top notch, I usually deal with a sales rep by the name Don; Don's the best! If I have any question about something I'm not familiar with or what kind of lock would be good with a certain application, he's pretty good at making a suggestion. A couple times I needed some out of stock items expedited and he was able to get them to me fairly quick. There's also been instances when I needed a something same day and I was able to pick it up directly from them. If you're a locksmith or a technician I highly recommend you check this place out!
