On multiple visits, he stepped in and interrupted conversations I was having with staff, often in a dismissive and unhelpful way. It disrupted the interaction and made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. For example, I was asking about a hex key for my fridge handle. A staff member was explaining that the connection was worn out, and I was clarifying whether I could still get a key that fits the socket. At that point, Mr. Goldberg stepped in and said, "we're not doing repairs," which wasn't what I was asking. Similar interruptions have happened 2-3 times, so it doesn't feel like a one-off.

Kudos to the Department of Public Works for EXCELLENT snow removal on the side streets -- enabling parking. I called the day before to make sure I could pick up all the things that I would need to bring back home. I live in Maryland and we were hit with 6 inches of snow with a 4 inch layer of ICE on top. I will need to break the ice before I can clean my parking spot and front walk way. The guys at Goldbergs gave me advice on what i might need. As I browsed the store, I found extra gloves and that weird adapter that I've been looking everywhere for. Sorry -- Amazon, I would rather buy local! They even helped me get my things to the car. If you are local to Tarrytown --- check out Goldbergs Hardware. I could have spent 2 hours looking around Home Depot and not finding what I need --- instead I was in and out in 11 minutes and couldn't be happier. KUDOS... reasonable prices, good quality and they are more than willing to give you advice and help. You know it's reasonable when the guy in front of you is a contractor.

The sales associates are always asking if you need help in a manner that suggest they want you to find your item and get the hell out. And they frequently are you suspiciously when you're shopping. I am somebody who enjoys browsing and lingering, and I will purchase items. This morning I went in to find a hair product and I was checking my phone for reviews and when I looked up, all of the associates were eyeing me suspiciously as if I was going to shoplift which is just outrageous. I promptly gathered my purchases, paid for them and left the store. If they had given me some privacy and space I probably would've bought more items and this isn't a one off experience. I always feel unwelcome in that store.
