They're not many of those left anymore I went in remembering fondly, going into many of these stores over the years. Well, the store was just like I remembered those other stores . It is set up exactly like you remember. It's like stepping back in time 50 years ago. So many good things that you can buy practical things for the home. They have a nice aisle of games and cards. Even a retro new version of that fun electronic game Simon. I spent a good 45 minutes looking around. I should've taken a basket because I could hardly carry when I brought up to the counter. Leather cleaner. Undershirts. Lava soap, Brillo pads address labels. Yarn a blank videotape. A few lightbulbs. Some stick on hangers, shoe polish shoelaces plus a bunch more stuff. So nice to have a store that has so many good quality, practical things all up and down the aisles Not a lot of junk. Just good stuff. The cashier was very friendly and told me about the history of the store. It was open since 1960. Three generations of the same family have run the store. Definitely come here and you'll find lots of things that are practical that you'll need for your house. Maybe some gifts for the holidays too.

It's a convenient stop for both quick project runs and larger home improvement shopping. It's usually a good experience here, but I was especially impressed during my most recent visit because of their newer in-store pickup locker system. When you walk in, you can scan your order barcode at the pickup screen (or enter your order number), and one of the lockers automatically pops open with your items inside. It was quick, easy, and pretty cool to see in action. I even took a video of the process to share with this review. There's only so much you can fit in a locker, but hey, this is a big improvement over the old process. Still not five stars as I'm not a fan of their current return policy.

We have spent an extraordinary amount of money in both of these stores. We rarely need to make returns, but we just had a recent instance of having to return 5 bags of polymeric sand because we decided to have the job done by a contractor. I saved the receipt and my husband went to the store to return the sand. It was a VERY UNPLEASANT experience to learn that there is a 90 day window on returns (with receipt) and NO EXCEPTIONS ARE GRANTED FOR A RESELLABLE ITEM such as polymeric sand! Needless to say, we have made our LAST purchase at Lowes and I will be sharing this VERY NEGATIVE experience EVERYWHERE I can.
