I think the whole weather seal was like $5.99. I told him not to worry about it. I am not a new customer. I live in the neighborhood. There is nothing about "Hometown" in these types of stores. I will take my business HomeDepot where I am not even questioned for a $5.99 item! And then they dare to complain when they go out of business or when they say we do not support small businesses.

They're not many of those left anymore I went in remembering fondly, going into many of these stores over the years. Well, the store was just like I remembered those other stores . It is set up exactly like you remember. It's like stepping back in time 50 years ago. So many good things that you can buy practical things for the home. They have a nice aisle of games and cards. Even a retro new version of that fun electronic game Simon. I spent a good 45 minutes looking around. I should've taken a basket because I could hardly carry when I brought up to the counter. Leather cleaner. Undershirts. Lava soap, Brillo pads address labels. Yarn a blank videotape. A few lightbulbs. Some stick on hangers, shoe polish shoelaces plus a bunch more stuff. So nice to have a store that has so many good quality, practical things all up and down the aisles Not a lot of junk. Just good stuff. The cashier was very friendly and told me about the history of the store. It was open since 1960. Three generations of the same family have run the store.
