Gabi at the Congers location was awesome to work with on a full order. Delivered on time and on budget.

Tommy at the valley cottage location was more than helpful on guiding me with what materials would be needed for a home project!

This chain of stores is a ripoff. Better off shopping at Lowes or Home Depot. Better costumer service at those places/,

This was one of the worst customer service experiences I've had…read more My husband and I came into the store for a large paint project involving three bathrooms. We had already been speaking with an associate for about five minutes, and I had already chosen my paint colors--Lace White and Caviar Black. We were well into placing our order when another customer walked in and stood behind us. Instead of finishing helping us, the associate immediately turned her attention to him and asked, "What can I help you with?" She spent the next 15-20 minutes discussing his project, asking about paint colors and finishes, mixing his paint, and even carrying on a conversation about his patio--all while my husband and I stood there waiting as if we didn't exist. Finally, I had to interrupt and ask, "Aren't we first in line?" Instead of a genuine apology, all I got was an awkward "Oh..." There was no acknowledgment of how long we had been waiting or that we had been completely overlooked. It honestly left me wondering why we were treated this way. Was it because we're a gay couple? I truly hope not, but I can't understand why we were ignored while another customer who arrived after us received the associate's full attention. Our project was substantial--we were purchasing paint for three bathrooms--and I had already selected the colors and was ready to complete my order. No customer should ever be made to feel invisible or treated as though they don't matter. This experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and unacceptable. I hope management reviews what happened and ensures that every customer is treated fairly and with the same level of respect.

Nice people, complimentary coffee, clean, and efficient. I love going into this store.read more

We called about 10 days ago and asked about Belkin surge protectors. We were told yes they have…read moreBelkin surge protectors and many other kinds. Of course they did not. My wife goes into the store. She had on a long winter coat. She's always cold. It's a medical condition. There are no inside pockets in that long winter coat that she wore open because then she started getting hot. She was overdressed, which happens to her when she goes into stores they don't have the air-conditioning set to 60. This was literally yesterday. She went out the day before and was freezing to death because of the windchill. She did not feel the need to explain this to the men that worked there. Unbelievable! She bought some batteries and was carrying them around the store. A man whose name we remember, we don't need to mention his name takes them away from her and says why don't you leave them on the counter? She she knew for sure that he thought she was some kind of thief because she was wearing a long winter coat. We all have weather whiplash. This man would not admit that he thought my wife was going to shop lift these batteries. She said she didn't see any sign saying do not carry merchandise around the store. She also did not notice any baskets one can carry the merchandise around it. Then the man continued to argue with my wife about how long the surge protector cord should be, and my wife kept saying what she wanted, and he kept arguing with her manslaining to her that she needed a long cord when she did not need a longer cord and we have very good reasons that we do not need a longer cord! My goodness! Prices are not cheap, they did not tell us the truth over the phone and then this happens. So not so happy;will avoid in future. Then she had to ask for a receipt. We hate that; a receipt should be given automatically.

Basic math told me that if plywood comes in 48x96" sheets that I'd need two cut down to 40x60 to make this work. Called Home Depot, they hung up on me. Called Ace, they claimed those size sheets don't exist anymore. Got in contact with Melrose Lumber through Yelp. Their responses were quick and kind. Ran down to their yard and had custom cut sheets in minutes. I sleep better now thanks to Melrose Lumber
