These guys used to be good I don't know what happened. They did dry rot repair on our house when we bought it and they were very reliable when they came out to do more work while the work was still under warranty. We had no problems. Fast-forward to now and the work is out of warranty but we noticed some dry rot spots on a window trim and a small portion of our chimney trim. Dave Wallace came out we looked at both spots. He said he would cut out the rottet potion of the trim and replace the trim. This would be a section of 2X4 and a section of 2X6 probably 6 feet worth of each. A week later I get a quote for $4,500 to fix ALL the trim on the front and ALL the SIDING of the garage. Not just the trim under the window and on the chimney. Obviously the bit was mistaken. No big deal they are busy. I e-mailed back pointing out that the quote was not accurate and asked for a correction. I got nothing for another week until I called and talked to the receptionist who said she was about to email me back but was confused by Dave's notes and said she would contact me as soon as she condirmed everything. Probably the next day. Sounded fine to me. It's been another week and I have heard nothing. Bad communication with customers seems to be a common issue on the bad reviews here. I guess if they can't get a quote correct I can't confident the actual job will be done correctly. Im sad to say I can no longer recommend them to neighbors like I have in the past. read more

Had no idea I had termites until I found a tiny little hole in sheet rock. They came out and did a more thorough inspection than the other termite company I called and the man who performed the service were professional and nice and cleaned up very well after themselves. First, their estimate of work done for dry rot and replacement of siding, and replacement of windows and sliding glass doors was detailed and accurate!! We recently had a hot water pipe leak in the concrete slab of our house while we were away on vacation. After water remediation we needed to have repairs done to put our house back together again. Wallace Termite and Construction completed all of the work in a very timely manner. They installed new sheet rock, textured, and painted the walls that were damaged. They sealed and filled the hole in the slab where the pipe busted. They replaced vinyl floors in multiple rooms, replaced new baseboards, replaced linen and entry closet. We also had them do some upgrades to our kitchen lighting which came out great. The list goes on and on. We had multiple days with multiple workers working on the project to help get it completed. All of the employees were very professional and knowledgeable of their work. From beginning to end they were amazing and I would highly recommend this company. read more

My real estate agent had James from Wallace complete a home inspection on our home purchase where he found additional issues on top of the inspection completed by another home inspector. Post the purchase, we hired Wallace to complete the work identified which included a complete rebuild of our chimney (removal of old siding and install and painting of hardiebacker). Overall they did a fantastic job, they would notify us when they arrived and when they would leave for the day. The guys on the job were: Jorge, Luis, Lance and James. Having Wallace reconstruct my bathroom was my first experience with having that kind of work done on my house. Of course there are many horror stories about contractors but I had a VERY positive experience. The bid was reasonable and they stuck to the quote - so no surprises. Any question or concern I had was quickly attended to. Everyone, from the owner, Dave Wallace, who came out to look at the work several times, to the skilled workers and the office staff, was pleasant to deal with. This is a family business so perhaps that makes a difference in the level of care that is given to their customers. The work took a little longer but that was because the tile company measured incorrectly. Most of all, my bathroom looks beautiful! I hope I don't have to have more work done anytime soon, but, if I do, I will surely look to this company again. read more

We just got a house recently and the terminite inspection is done by Wallace. It was a clean report and don't have anything for Section 1 fix. However, after we moved in we saw terminite on the fence next to garage and the baseboard is swollen and they said there is no moisture in the bathroom. So disappointed. read more

Went with them to complete a window reframing, the project was a set to start in mid December. They delayed until January 3rd because of the rain which was understandable. Jan 3rd they come in take some siding off the house and place a plastic tarp on. The employee states they would be back to finish Jan 7th. Jan 7th they go dark, no answer, no calls back, zero communication. I patiently wait. Fast forward now in March fed up with the plastic tarp that blew off and ripped off I call them to cancel the project and now they decide to return my calls. Stay away from them. They are not timely but most importantly they do not communicate with their customers! read more

We had Wallace Termite repair our dry rot. First, we had a termite inspection. They didn't find any (thank goodness) but did find multiple spots of dry rot. Pest work at my house was scheduled to start at end of December. They pushed off the work for 2 weeks, and then again indefinitely saying "they would call me to reschedule". They offered no explanation as to why. After not hearing from them until February I called and they said they were a month out. Once work commenced at the end of February there was very poor communication about when they would work (work hours) and what they were doing. Finally they finished work and then I was pestered about final payment. Damage was done to the interior drywall since they were a little careless when they were doing the work from the outside. The patched the holes, but now I have repainting to do. Not very pleased with their work quality or customer service. read more

They were hired by my insurance company to do a reinstallation job at our house after a toliet overflowed in December of 2018. A very simple task of putting the house back together. No dry or mold was found after the cleaning company cleared the house and there was no structural damage. What a disaster this has turned on to be. After signing a contract they were more worried about payments then getting work completed. Not showing up for weeks at a time. Not returning calls to the insurance company or i. The big kicker is a bid was written up not including all the costs of materials and labor. Here it is nearly 11 months later they are gone and i am having to clean up this mess. read more

One of the best local companies, I strive to use local businesses and shop local when ever possible and it helps. I recently filed for a house loan and needed an inspection. First I should tell you about my ceiling I guess, I had an alarm company install a smoke, carbon tester and cracked and damaged the ceiling popcorn, to amazement and a big wow factor they fixed it and you can't even see where. When I needed the inspection as noted above I turned to them, again painless. Chris came out did the inspection then went over things including analysis of possibly what the bank might want. I presented the report to the bank and didn't get anything substantial. Chris was right on with his suggestions as when the bank finally returned my email the things chris mentioned as being important were his top ones, not only was he right but he saved my loan before the time almost expired waiting on a reply from the bank on what to fix. read more

I called Wallace Termite to inspect my home before purchasing about 3 years ago. The man who did the inspection went so above and beyond I was extremely impressed. My realtor said he was the owners son, but it was a while back so I don't remember his name? I didn't have any termites, but he told me about a leak in a pipe under the house and a patch on the roof that needed to be repaired. He was definitely knowledgeable and thorough. I would never ever recommend Wallace Termite to anyone. They are fraudsters, they will definitely claim there are huge dry rot issues, leaks and other added issues and on top of that their prices for repairs are insanely huge. I don't know why the realtors recommend them, don't know what the deal is but they are very unprofessional and make home owners life miserable. These guys come out and give estimates that a potential seller has to pay for. They are way overpriced. Their prices are twice what a normal contractor would cost. Wallace was recommended to us by our realtor and I was hugely disappointed. We had some dry rot issues and the cost that they provided to repair was outrageous. When we opted not to use their services for the repair, they made the inspection process as difficult as possible. Their inspection process created delays with my contractor that cost me money and time. I felt like they were difficult to work with and created undue stress in an already stressful time of selling a house. I would recommend to realtors and consumers to find someone else. read more
