So Wallace Chicken now occupies what used to be one our favorite local spots - XLB Dumpling Bar. But the guys who started XLB were always good to us which kept us coming back, and so we wanted to support and try out their new chicken spot. And just like with XLB, we think they've got somethin' with Wallace Chicken. We weren't sure if we liked it through the hype of having a new spot, so we came back two more times in the week and enjoyed the food every time we came. This concept is all about the chicken just like Chick Fil A, but we decided that we like like Wallace Chicken more. We were pleasantly surprised and how juicy the grilled chicken sandwich was, plus it was tasty so my guess is that they probably marinated it. Both were also very nicely priced and wallet-friendly! And then there's the chicken nuggets. We loved it! Chicken nuggets are always (usually) good and I'm down for nuggies most times, but wifey said she now prefers Wallace Chicken's chicken nuggets over other spots. Great p people here we first met them at the taste of walnut and they gave us samples of their chicken. We were blown away me and a friend of mine. We go there quite regularly, anyways I really enjoy their fried chicken sandwiches, their grilled chicken sandwich. The wraps are OK maybe little bit too much sauce in them. I do enjoy their hot wings, but the hot wings are kinda hot and I would like to have a milder version if possible, theirsauces are great. First off, customer service was amazing and friendly. It's the only reason I gave this place 2 stars. The food was terrible! The fries are okay, they tasted like curly fires from Jack in Box. The sandwiches were just inedible. There was a lot of skin and fat in the chicken and it just looked disgusting. Two bites in I had to stop eating because I got nauseous. The wings were even worse! I got the 3 for $10 deal and can confirm this deal is real. It was very good. Chicken was tender and tasty although a bit stringy at times, but it has favor because it's dark meat. They use sweet pickels and it complimented the chicken. The value sandwiches are not offered as spicy bit they gave me some sauces to try out with it. Highly recommend this local spot over all other fried chicken sandwich places, especially fast food chains. I've enjoyed the deluxe chicken sandwich and I think it's the best fried chicken sandwich around and at a much lower price than all their competitors. They only serve dark meat, which is definitely my style. I recommend getting their regular fries, they are lightly battered which makes them super satisfying. Dessert-- I really forgot what these were called but they're basically little churro balls coated in OATS and filled with this creamy churro filling. Crispy on the outside and soft & hot on the inside. I was really impressed by these especially bc I was full AF at that point. SERVICE-- The service here exceeded my expectations. Everyone was super friendly and the cashier remembered my name & would greet me by my name when I approached the cashier to check out the menu after I had finished my meal. It's those little details that really make an establishment memorable so I definitely appreciated that. Food was quick, took maybe 5-7 minutes to come out and everything was fresh & hot. Quality has definitely gone way down. When they first opened, everyone was raving about them amd the quality of the chicken. I used to come all the time and it was always good amd juicy but the last 2 times were absolutely terrible. I get the chicken sandwich and the chicken was absolutely terrible. It was dry, hard to bite out and felt like plastic rubbery chicken meat. Definitely was not "dark meat". They mever charged for WA sauce before and now they do. Lame ass business practice.
