I'm really glad I went the state route. The generic Pick Your Part quote I got online was around $190, which was much lower than I expected. Through the BAR program, I ended up receiving a little over $1,000, which made a huge difference and was well worth meeting the program requirements. Finding the location was the only slightly confusing part. When I first arrived, I followed a sign that said "We Buy Cars" and made a sharp right, but that turned out to be the wrong entrance. If you're using Apple Maps, keep going straight instead. The correct office where the paperwork is handled will be on your left. Once inside, the front desk staff member was very friendly, helpful, and patient throughout the process. The paperwork took the longest, but everything was clearly explained. After the initial paperwork, I was directed back to the "We Buy Cars" area, drove straight down, made a small left, and found a mobile office where they finalized everything, took the car, and gave me the remaining documents. A couple of things to note: * Customer restrooms are portable toilets only, with a pump-style hand washer * Plan accordingly if that's important to you I arrived right when they opened at 9:00 AM and was completely finished by 9:53 AM, which I thought was very reasonable given the process. They handled everything on the DMV side and issued the check without any issues. Overall, a smooth experience, and I'd recommend this location if you're doing a BAR program vehicle turn-in.

Since April 1st, I have had to email them DAILY just to get sales tax removed from an invoice--something that should've taken five minutes. Not only did they completely ignore every single email, but when I called again for the 10th time, I was on hold for 20 minutes. When I finally spoke to someone, their accounting person clearly had no idea what they were doing. Not only were they rude, but their tone was disrespectful and condescending, like it was somehow my fault they couldn't process a basic request. They even lied, claiming they called us about the resale certificate earlier in the year, which absolutely never happened. Their lack of professionalism is staggering. If you value your time, sanity, or even basic customer service, do not do business with American Dismantling. They are disorganized, dishonest, and outright disrespectful.

Nobody ever comes to the phone and I left a messages for Dan to call me back never received a callback. I am in the car business and I deal with a lot of people. I bought a rebuilt motor for my 2000 4Runner. There were issues in the beginning . I have a…read moregreat local mechanic who was putting the engine into my car. After putting the rebuilt engine into my car, the car would not start. He checked and rechecked all his work and found nothing wrong. He even took the time to call you regarding the issue. He then did a compression check on the rebuilt engine and found the camshaft on the right side to have been installed upside down. You barely acknowledged the mistake and did not pay him a fair amount for the work he had to do to correct. Now we went to replace the water pump and discovered that you never put a new water pump on the rebuilt engine. Instead the outside was painted to appear new. When he opened the casing it was obviously a very very old water pump. There is rust everywhere and the metal disks are almost nonexistent! I would recommend to anyone not to get anything from this company.
