The black guy at the front, he's the worst customer service representative you can get. He never wants to do returns or accept cores of any kind, always coming up with excuses that the system is not working, the receipt is not legible, the manager's not here right now, or it's too late, or the part doesn't look the same, or the core has to be complete when basically when I bought the part, it was incomplete with receipt and pictures. So, yeah, you guys should train him better, or even better yet fire him at this point. I'm not the only one complaining about this exact individual. read more

They have up to 10 rows of cars and if you get a part from those 10 rows there is a 15 dollar fee for each that's crazy and dumb but right were you enter there's 3 to 4 cars on the side those 4 cars have a 3rd fee also so it's the regular price the 15 dollar fee and a extra fee I have my receipt I keep records of all the stuff I buy here and instead of messaging me back saying email us to make your experience better do something about it ohh and when you ask for the number to corporate they say they don't have it read more

everything is so organised in the fontana location the staff was very helpfu, l even gave me a list of cars and where they were located everything was marked and i was able to find what i was looking for. i went to the ontario location first got no help walked around for about 45 minutes finally got fed up and left. will never go back there. i wll be going to the fontana one from now on. thank you read more

Double check what you're paying for before and after and make sure you or a friend knows about car parts. Cashier up charged us 3 times. First was the material of the part and the second time was the quantity. We caught those but then was charged a warranty without checking with us first. We noticed it on the way out and got a refund for that. If you're going to come here just make sure you double check your receipt. read more

Absolutely terrible experience. We were given a pick up window from 11 to 2. Didn't hear from them till 11:30 notifying us that our driver would potentially be running late. We called back at 1 just to find out that this location had no driver and they had to put in a request with another location. We were told that the new location would give us a call to tell us when our driver would be arriving. About 40 minutes later I called again since I had not heard from either location. Super unprofessional. After talking with them and letting them know that our pick up window was from 11-2 they told me that the time gap was actually when they sent someone over. Not when someone would be arriving. These people wasted our time. If I hadn't been calling to check in with them I don't know when they would have come. I even asked for the $60 they charge to pick up your car to be waived due to the terrible service and they wouldn't budge. I would recommend going anywhere else but here. The only saving trace was the women I spoke to from the first location. She was very patient and understanding unlike the second representative who did not seem to care at all. The $5.00 entrance is added to your parts purchase and then subtracted. What's up with that? It's not a refund of the entry fee. Yeah, it's a dive. The chance of having a car part that you need is a risk when coming to any pick part. You can sign up online and get notifications if the car make/model is at any location. The chances of getting something you're looking for are a gamble but the reward is good if you do find it. It's $3 to get in. Yard opened 45 minutes late. The cashier REFUSED to sell me the part without the vehicle inventory number - kid you not REFUSED TO SELL. I walked to the far end of the yard to get the number. Being so mad, I forgot to tell the female cashier no warranty so I get screwed there because CORPORATE DICTATES WARRANTY IS ADDED - Customer must refuse it before it is rang up (another way this corporation covertly screws the customer out of more money) So what I should have done was walk out. Do yourself a favor shop for the parts you want online from other sources please do what you can do not support this corporation. They are not about customer service they are solely about greed. Please take time and leave reviews of your experience about going to the LKQ pick your parts. Good or bad however I'm sure most of them will be bad. Another example of greed Lugnut plastic wheel caps four dollars each tell me that's not insane on top of the five dollars to walk in the yard. LKQ is without hesitation my last resort. read more

So far the best pick your part I've been too, the cashier is super friendly and respectful, and the manager is a great guy as well with a lot of information, any questions I had he was able to answer them, I've seen someone complain about the warranty but it clearly says it posted on the building and when I asked the cashier about it he was able to explain it to me and break it down, now everytime I go I always get the warranty because you can never be to safe, definitely recommend the Fontana location read more

I just had them pick up my old car the other day and everything went quickly and well but the weeks leading up to it involved a lot of misinformation. I was told that they would take the car but the girl there that I talked to told me that I had to follow them to the location to get my check which I wasn't told before. I ended up cancelling my first appointment and wasted $30 on Lyft to go to my parents' house where my car was located. I went over there again weeks later with another appointment and they were able to take my car without me following them back to the location. They had a check ready for me there. They said I didn't have to follow them back. Why was I told that before? The towers were also not informed that I didn't live there. They waited like 15 minutes for me and called asking where I was at while I was getting a Lyft ride. They should've been told that before as I had told 2 people that. Also the girl I talked to told me that I needed a code and they never asked me for it either. They need to make sure that that they are giving out accurate information when people are getting their cars towed. read more

Probably my favorite lot to peruse, besides the Chula Vista Ecology. Cleaner and better smelling than almost any other lot. Sometimes gets muddy when it rains. Plenty of parking, with a port o potty in the parking area, and in the junkyard. Security guards can be rude depending on the day or even hour. They always find something to hassle me about which I find extremely annoying. Once I brought an electric impact driver in and they gave me some ish because I had the charger in the same case. "Don't bring that back here ever again!" the guy said about the charger. Another time he wasn't even going to stamp my hand, but I stuck it out there anyway, so I got a rude look and an exasperated sigh like I was making his job oh so hard. I got my stamp, I don't want to be that guy who gets yelled at to come back for a stamp. The cashier I had last time was half asleep, and I kept telling her to charge me for certain items: trim pieces. The security guard flipped and sent me back twice until I explained the girl is basically asleep at the register and isn't paying attention to what I'm showing her. It was like playing telephone with 2 year olds. Price here is very subjective in my opinion. I got charged for a 3 element speaker, which didn't even have 3 speakers inside, just 2 speakers and a hole. I didn't feel like taking it apart to educate the silly girl, so I just paid it because I really wanted them. However, I do like the selection of European cars, especially Volvo, Mercedes, Jaguar. I have seen between 2 and 7 of the exact car I was looking for at one time, but average is around 4. Seems like they're getting more rare. ALL I CARE ABOUT is that they keep buying my car of choice, and putting them out at a good turnover rate, which they do. 4 stars ONLY for older model European car enthusiasts. SUV pickers, sorry, slim pickins or else you gotta get lucky. Some idiot thinks Saturns are imports, they are scattered everywhere in this lot. Whoever is buying the exotic vintage French cars, good on you, it's like a museum in here sometimes. Seen some really cool cars here. Also, if you've never done it, I highly suggest taking a tire iron and breaking a window once in your life. It's freeing. read more

This place is horrible I have no idea why anyone would be stupid to come twice. They have no true selection of imports. I drove all the way to Fontana to find some parts and asked if he had jaguars he lied he had a jag and when asked for a refund the manager of this location was rude and obnoxious. Went to this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. Very nicely organized yard. Imports only so if you go there expecting American cars you'll be disappointed. I've been looking for Datsun parts so this yard suited me just fine. Didn't have what I was after on this particular day but with the organization of the yard you don't waste your time walking the entire yard looking for the make of your car. Definite time saver. Had a good experience. This is apparently an import-only lot, and was nearly vacant on a Sunday afternoon. There were maybe 15 people fishing parts off of cars. This is a standard DIY lot though it was quite clean despite the dirt floor. Cars were roughly organized by make with plenty of space to work. Cars are propped up on spot-welded alloys. I bought about $50 worth of parts that I priced on LKQ's site at about $120 (though with LKQ they like to add hidden parts charges). Core charges were 1/3 that of LKQ. Env fee was less than half of LKQ. Admission fee is the same ($2) as just about every lot. Not a huge lot--I'd say it's medium-sized. Bigger than u-pull-u-save, but not as large as the LKQ lots in Wilmington. Unlike LKQ the pricing is not completely fixed--both a good and bad thing. If the cashier thinks the part is damaged / smaller than most, etc., they have the option of taking off some of the "set" cost. That happened on three of my items and I didn't even have to argue about it. The only reason I docked a star is because the security guard really, REALLY went through my bag (well, that's his job I guess) and then pointed me in the wrong direction for the make I was looking for. This place sucks the new hours are dumb & the prices on parts are getting higher ever since it's almost the only company out there & ecology is out. They went up on the entrance fees, they no longer have 50% off everything went downhill. I only go when it's a big difference in price of the new parts or if it's not available anywhere else.
