Decided to give this place a shot since the previous place I went to (MAS in Fontana between valley and citrus) fucked up my starter twice stating that they had changed parts and all. I gave Gerardo a call and explained my situation, I mentioned to him that I had taken my starter to oreillys and auto zone to get it tested and it kept passing. However my thoughts were still 99% sure it was the starter. He kept me in the loop with it even after hours saying that he will check it ASAP. Drove down there with it and was greeted by him and a tech, the tech took the starter to the back and within two minutes he said this starter is bad, "I told him how sure are you?" I needed my alternator re-re-rebuilt for my 2007 honda fit. It kept dying 3-6 months after each other. I suspected that my stereo was killing it because my poor alternator could not keep up the charging. After being rebuilt twice by another guy, I decided to take it to CP generator. They had done my starter so I trusted them with my alternator. When I described my problem with the alternator always dying, they right off the bat told me that my alternator was not strong enough. Other shops told me that my alternator pushes out 70 amps, but CP told me that it is 70 amps MAX and is only 35 amps at idle. My stereo is pushing 150 amps. Now I know why it was dying! So the guys at CP recommended that I rebuild it and make it high amp. Without hesitation, I said go right ahead! Few hours later, I have a brand new high amp alternator! They even put a lightweight pulley on it to aid in cooling. The family that runs CP generators are EXTREMELY knowledgeable and extremely friendly.
