Far and beyond!!!! At first I was so skeptical of any establishment located in the vicinity of the Inland Empire (screams out shadiness). From large corporations to small businesses in general. Ughhhh... Unfortunately my alternator had miserably failed at an unexpected notice and needed my car at the earliest time. So I had to start with the good old yelp app and reading all the reviews; considering a general feedbacks from other previous customers. Decided to bite the bullet and tried this place out. Messaged them requesting a quote. They were so responsive, which right off the bat customer service was really important to them and kudos for them. They gave me a really good price that started to attract me more and more to this business. Bought an rebuilt alternator for 1 year warranty for a very competitive price. To put a cherry on the top, the owner saved me some money and gave me a ride back home. My first experience with CP Generators, while shopping for an alternator for a classic Mercedes. What brought me in was the courtesy I received over the phone and the unbeatable price. To either rebuild or buy one of their rebuilt units was cheaper than some of the favorite (in the MB community) online retailers, plus I saved on shipping and return shipping of the core, got a better warranty, and got it same day. They offered to rebuild mine in 2 hours or sell one already built and cleaned for $97, which included a one year warranty, or for $130 including a lifetime warranty. The CP alternator was cheaper even with the lifetime warranty than from other local rebuilders I had spoken with and cheaper than the rebuilt units from the online resellers. CP was the most inexpensive and included a better warranty overall. This place has been in the same space since it opened in 1962 and is owned and run by the same family. I ultimately chose CP because of the polite treatment, price, warranty, and convenience, all which allowed me to support a longstanding, but most importantly a local small business. read more

My battery light turned on and my first thought was that the alternator was out. After giving me a jump start the staff began to run some tests. Total nightmare. Went to his place to get a plug for my alternator and was informed that plug was unavailable and was told to get a new alternator and upgrade to a one wire system. Installed it in my car and it did not work and was told that the car must be the problem. Returned several times and was told my car must have a short. I went to AutoZone and bought a new alternator and it worked. Tried to return the part and they would not honor their warranty refused to give a refund. I even showed them a video of my car running with the new alternator and told me that I must have accidentally fixed the problem and that's the reason the alternator from AutoZone worked. Idiots clearly didn't know what they were dealing with and instead of letting me know they just wasted my time. Never again. Needed an alternator due to mine giving out after after 226k miles on my Acura TL. Not too bad for a OEM alternator. In and out in less than 10 minutes and 86 bucks later with an hour of my own labor I was back on the road. I was close to ordering a rebuilt alternator that was OEM online for 195 without a core trade in and saved a lot by shopping locally. Will definitely go back when I need more parts! read more

My car was making a really weird noise and I was told that it was my starter. I asked for a quote and got a very quick response and liked that they had affordable prices, I have an old car so I really wasn't looking to spend $100+ on a part. I went in with my brother and we were greeted by very friendly staff and the owner Gerardo so was very nice, he tested the part for us to ensure that it was in working condition and he checked the started that we took in as well. He was very honest and told us that my starter was actually still working (not smoothly, but still functional) he could have easily just sold us the part and we wouldn't have known until it was installed and the problem wasn't fixed. I decided to buy the part anyway just in case that was the problem and for $52 you can't really go wrong. It turned out that it was actually my starter that's as causing the problem because once the new one was installed the noise was gone. Super happy with the purchase, now i don't have to hear that really sketchy noise anymore. If you're looking for affordable quality parts this place is it. read more

This is a great "old school" place. I've been here many times to buy alternators and starters, have always received a quality product at a good price and with great service. The staff is knowledgable, patient, and willing to help any questions you may have. I always tell everyone I know that needs a starter or alternator to get their gear here instead of the big chain stores.
