The best place to go to for alternators, generators, starters and batteries (new and rebuilt). A family run business that dates back to the early 1960's! Absolutely love this place! The best customer service hands down and unbeatable prices. Look no further you're in the right hands :)

Best prices in all of Rancho in very helpful everyone is nice and friendly Jared was the guy to ask for

Just got my 10si GM alternator rebuilt by them. In a word - PERFECT. I did the last rebuild on it, probably about 5-6 years ago but didn't want to personally mess with again. Very nice job and they were quick. I worked in field sales for GM's ACDelco division years ago, so I've seen a few rebuilders in action. C P is pretty darn good from what I see as a walk in customer. read more

Latisse and Gerardo were absolute sweethearts. I stopped by needing some assistance figuring out a battery issue and although their tech wasn't able to assist on my BMW due to the battery being tough to access, they went above and beyond to call a few shops and figure out alternative solutions for me. Super down to earth and helpful people and I'd recommend them to absolutely anyone! read more

Today, I became a first time customer of CP Generators and I couldn't be more happy with the quality of service, advice and product. I have struggled with many alternators in my '91 Chevy Suburban for the past two years. Each time I bought the best alternator I could find, but each time the new alternator would not properly charge my truck at idle. After explaining my problem to one of their technician, he was able to clearly explain my problem and offer a solution. Well, I just finished installing one of their newly designed alternators into my diesel suburban and the problem is solved. Thank you so very much. Your service and products are simply the best. Outstanding customer service. From the phone call to inquire about an alternator to the final sale--superb service. Wish I could give more than five stars. We were very impressed at the knowledge, the help and the extra tidbits of advice they gave in regards to installing the part we purchased. We live in Whittier and made the drive out there in traffic. Very worth it! They have lifelong customers in us. Thank you for your excellent care to the staff at CP Generators. read more

Great Customer service thru Yelp and in person . I really like coming to a business that appreciates their customer.I was going to be buying my alternator from a chain parts supply but I hate dealing with them as they always try to rush you out the door. Family owned business and Best in town!! Latisse and Gerardo went above and beyond for me I took alternator in they took it and had it done in record time. I live close so they said go home and get your battery well charge it for you. The battery was bad so they called and got me a new one with warranty at no charge. I was in process of buying an alternator when they responded to my call and said they could do it for less. They did it for over $100 less. The shop is the cleanest and most organized place I've Ever seen. They are extremely knowledgeable!! The customer service is more than Above and Beyond!! If you need help with getting your alternator or generator don't look any further. They are the BEST. Thank You to you all at GP Generator!! Have a Blessed Day. read more

Needed a new alternator for my 06 F250 and found CP Generator. I wanted to upgrade to a 180 amp and they rebuilt my existing alternator to suit my needs within a few hours and it works great! Amazing business and individuals! Very efficient, honest, and helpful. Highly recommend for battery replacement!

My first experience with CP Generators, while shopping for an alternator for a classic Mercedes. What brought me in was the courtesy I received over the phone and the unbeatable price. To either rebuild or buy one of their rebuilt units was cheaper than some of the favorite (in the MB community) online retailers, plus I saved on shipping and return shipping of the core, got a better warranty, and got it same day. They offered to rebuild mine in 2 hours or sell one already built and cleaned for $97, which included a one year warranty, or for $130 including a lifetime warranty. The CP alternator was cheaper even with the lifetime warranty than from other local rebuilders I had spoken with and cheaper than the rebuilt units from the online resellers. CP was the most inexpensive and included a better warranty overall. This place has been in the same space since it opened in 1962 and is owned and run by the same family. I ultimately chose CP because of the polite treatment, price, warranty, and convenience, all which allowed me to support a longstanding, but most importantly a local small business. read more

These guys went above and beyond to help me when I got stuck on east ave and foothill with a dead battery and bad alternator. Update 2017: 4 years later, still running perfectly. Thanks guys. Orig Post 2013 Thanks to Mr. A. for 1st'ing this place. Family run business, 51 yrs. Clean, organized, professional shop. Honest, friendly, trustworthy. Not just family owned.... The family operates the business. Son and Daughter made me feel very comfortable and confident that they do quality rebuilds on alternators. Genuine people. (And not the type that uses crescent wrench for 9/16's.) And....... BEST PRICE AROUND. $100 for e46 BMW m3. other shops were $125-150. read more

5 stars WOW a lifetime optional guarantee on alternators and starters. Now there's a company that stands behind there parts! They shipped it on Thursday and I had it on Saturday, awesome turnaround. I will never buy a starter or alternator anywhere else! A++++++++++++++++ read more

This place will rip you off on the lifetime warranty Do not buy from these shady individuals Interesting to note that a lifetime warranty alternator cost $65 in July 2013 and the exact same unit / model in Jan 2015 now costs $87 Talk about some serious inflation in 18months Buyers beware! read more

Far and beyond!!!! At first I was so skeptical of any establishment located in the vicinity of the Inland Empire (screams out shadiness). From large corporations to small businesses in general. Ughhhh... Unfortunately my alternator had miserably failed at an unexpected notice and needed my car at the earliest time. So I had to start with the good old yelp app and reading all the reviews; considering a general feedbacks from other previous customers. Decided to bite the bullet and tried this place out. Messaged them requesting a quote. They were so responsive, which right off the bat customer service was really important to them and kudos for them. They gave me a really good price that started to attract me more and more to this business. Bought an rebuilt alternator for 1 year warranty for a very competitive price. To put a cherry on the top, the owner saved me some money and gave me a ride back home. It's really hard to find customer service and genuine business owners nowadays and surprisingly I found one in the Inland Empire. Overall I was an happy camper!!! Thank you again read more

Excellent!!! Went in thinking my alternator was the problem, turned out to be the battery. Gerardo changed my battery in a matter of minutes. I spent less than 30mins getting car checked out, fixed and out the door. Also found out that the shop was originally in the same area of L.A. that I lived in up to 2yrs ago, it was a nice surprise to find fellow Angelenos in the I.E. Will definitely recommend this business. read more

My battery light turned on and my first thought was that the alternator was out. After giving me a jump start the staff began to run some tests. They were able to find and fix a loose connection near my alternator. They tested the battery and alternator to show me that everything was back in order. Thank you for the help! read more

Ok so I finally get a min to write a review. Last weekend my Honda died after a few i found that my alternator took a dump. So i called all the auto parts around. All ima say is holi cow very expensive. Searched yelp, found CP Generators. Called and i wish i could remember her name, A lady picked up, very savvy and friendly. She even gave me an easy route to get to the business. Once i got to location, She went above and beyond. She gave me the best deal i could possibly get. Wow. Every person that i met this day was very friendly. This place is A++++ i highly recommend to ALL. I have a VW Beetle that i will bring so we can convert from 6v to 12v. Oh and I installed my new alternator and my ride is up and working. A+++++ their qual of work. THANK YOU CP GENS. I hve told all my friends bout you guys. read more

This place seemed too good to be true when I was calling around for quotes. I was impressed by their prices and warranties as well as their customer service. I want to thank the staff at C.P. Generators for their awesome customer service and knowledge. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the staff and asked how they could help me. Before I could even tell them what kind of starter I had in my hand, one of the staff members brought a replacement out to show me. I was amazed because it was from my 54 F100 and I couldn't find it anywhere else. Price was on the high side due to its uncommon nature. Though still cheaper than anywhere else online (when available). Got home, installed it and worked like a charm. Will refer to anybody in need of their products. Thanks guys. You guys are life savers. read more

The people at this place are cool and offer great prices. A couple months ago I had issues with my car and almost overpaid for something I didnt even need at O'Reillys. I went here and they gave me a good price on my battery and told me I didnt even need the part the guy from O'Reillys was trying to pressure me to buy. Went again this past week for a battery for my fiancés car got a fair deal. I still need to go back when I have time to bring the old battery in to get $15 bucks back. Would highly recommend this place. read more

they had my car fixed on time. Decent condition. thanks read more

Total nightmare. Went to his place to get a plug for my alternator and was informed that plug was unavailable and was told to get a new alternator and upgrade to a one wire system. Installed it in my car and it did not work and was told that the car must be the problem. Returned several times and was told my car must have a short. I went to AutoZone and bought a new alternator and it worked. Tried to return the part and they would not honor their warranty refused to give a refund. I even showed them a video of my car running with the new alternator and told me that I must have accidentally fixed the problem and that's the reason the alternator from AutoZone worked. Buyer beware! read more

I had a great experience with C P generators. I was in the market for a new battery and had contacted Gerardo. When I arrived he had set up a group of batteries that were comparable and even better quality than what I was looking for. Him taking the time to do that, in my opinion is great customer service. He ended up giving me a really good deal on better quality battery. Thanks again for your time and help. read more

I have used this company several times for my business and not only do you get a great working product with the same warranty as a new one but it looks good for a fraction of the price. Many times the have the one you want ready for exchange. If you have something rare the rebuild service is fast! Great to have found these guys. Thanks so much Gerardo and Latisse! read more

My cars starter went out and through a relative he recommended this place. Worst choice ever. They gave me the wrong car part TWICE. Idiots clearly didn't know what they were dealing with and instead of letting me know they just wasted my time. Never again. Couldn't even refund my money when I needed to immediately go to another place to actually fix my situation and get my car up and running. DO NOT RECOMMEND WHAT SO EVER. read more
