My father was a mechanic for many years. Him and I as well as my brothers have always worked on our own vehicles. When we were younger my father always relied on his mechanic to help us when we had a job that wasn't able to be completely be ourselves. When my fathers mechanic retired was when we found Tap Automotive. That was ten years ago. Luckily we live half a block away. These guys have been working on our cars reliably, professionally and honestly all these years. We have brought them every family car whenever we weren't able to get the work done ourselves. Every time I bring home a car that was left with then I know the work was done right. These guys have competitive price that will always surpass everyone else. They never mind you asking questions and they are always happy to show you their work. If they can save you money they will show you how and get you back on the road. Needless to say, these guys have become family friends. I will recommend them to anyone who is in need of a mechanic. read more

I've been bringing my vehicles here for a while now -- my 2015 Ford F-150 and my 2019 Honda Accord -- and I've always had a great experience. Claudio, the owner, runs an honest and reliable shop. I've had several services done, and every time the work has been done right, at a fair price, and in a timely manner. It's hard to find a mechanic you can truly trust, but TAP Automotive has earned that trust. I highly recommend this shop for tires, brakes, fluid changes, water pumps, radiators, fuel pumps, tune-ups, and suspension work. If you're looking for a solid, honest mechanic, this is the place to go. read more

I reached out to this shop for a quote on a suspension replacement on a Toyota Land Cruiser. Claudio asked me to text him the vin# so he can look up the parts and I did but he never responded back! read more

If I could give a higher rating I would in a heartbeat. Claudio is the owner. He came highly recommended by a friend of ours. Claudio is the real deal. No fluff and stuff at all; just genuine "old school customer service". Simply put, he's passionate about what he does from the moment you walk into the moment you pick up your car. He explains everything to you clearly and concisely. My husband and I also value and appreciate Claudio's team who are more like family than employees. You can see and feel the unity in their work environment. They share the same passion and values with regards to "old school customer service". We highly recommend that you give Claudio and his team the opportunity to serve your automotive needs. You will not be disappointed! read more

dont come to this "mechanic shop" avoid this place at all cost. id honestly pay for people to go elsewhere. you take your vehicle for one thing, claudio and his monkeys will return your car worse than it was before. received broken timing belt cover, loose bolts, broken dip sticks, list goes on! claudio is untrustworthy, take your business elsewhere. boycott!!!!! read more

We got there right at open and they had us out two hirs later. They did a whole diagnostic and changed a spark plug. They do not overcharge. Made sure to keep us updated the entire time. read more

Claudio and his team are amazing. he helped me with my car that was on the verge of survival, and now with my new one too!! 10/10 service would recommend to everyone especially someone looking for an honest mechanic read more

Very disappointed! I took my Toyota Camry in after many years without major issues. They completed a timing belt replacement and oil change. I was told about a bolt that broke during the repair but the bolt they used should hold up. 11 days later I take my car on the freeway for the first time and I hear rattling from my engine, and my car is jerking. My oil change maintenance light also comes. I take my car back and Claudo proceeds to tighten the bolt. I then check it and I'm able to easily pull it out with my hands right in front of him. He says we'll fix it but we notice your engine mounts are now loose and the maintenance light that came on again means you need maintenance other than an oil change. Keep in mind my maintenance light turns on only when I need an oil change which they just did during the timing belt replacement. I was never told during my first service that I needed any other work done or that my motor mounts were damaged. He continued to tell me you have a lot of miles on your car. I tell him that doesn't mean everything is broken or needs replacement. Only the boIt was repaired. I was denied an accommodation to fix the motor mounts issue but was told I would receive a call for a possible quote and was never called. Sadly Claudo seemed like a nice and trustworthy technician in the beginning but now that the job went wrong I'm getting excuse after excuse. I won't be coming back here. This is not a business to trust! read more

I came in to get a flat tire repaired. I was literally running on flat. Although TAP didn't have my tire in stock, he referred me to someone down the block who could assist. You have no idea how thankful I am for TAP. They could've tried to keep the business there but he saw we were stranded and recommended someone who did in fact get us back safely on the road. I would gladly see them for future business and I'm truly grateful for their help read more

Claudio and his team have been helping my family and friends for years. They have helped us repair imports and domestic vehicles and with everything from tires, brakes , timing belts, tuneups, air sensors, and even the occasional flat. I always recommend their shop to everyone one I know who is looking for a reasonable and dependable service. read more

Thank you Eddie for fixing the noise in my A/C. They were all so professional and let me leave my car overnight too.

My window was broke an I covered it with a bag. Thank God for insurance company. I called an they got me in the next day I only had to pay 100 dollars. read more

Its hard to choose a good mechanic but I took a chance. I chose these guys because they had good reviews on yelp and were literally down the street from my house. They were friendly and helpful, and i walked away feeling good. On 2/27/19 I took my car in for an oil change and radiator flush. I also had a more serious issue that needed a diagnostic check and advice. I didn't have an appointment, but Jesus and Angel managed to have everything taken care of the same day. I will definitely take my Jeep Wrangler there again if I need regular maintenance or need something fixed. Thank you! read more

Life savers! My mother had a flat tire for a month and decided to wait last minute before a family vacation to add air. Low and behold there was something stuck in the tire so we headed over to get a patch in the tire. Sadly the hole was the size of a nickel and there was no way to patch it up. Luckly the guy working made a few calls and went and picked up a tire and had it fixed within a few hours! Had us back on the road perfect timing for our trip. Friendly service and comfortable waiting area, worth checking out for your automobile needs. read more

clean, quick, and affordable work definitely recommend these guys if you're in the area

First time customer. I leave my car overnight so the mechanic Jesus could fix it the next day. Most shops will call you and let you know the status or any delays. Not these guys! I show up at end up the day only to find out they were too busy to even pop the hood and to come back next week if I still wanted it fixed. Horrible customer service, will definitely not be coming back and you shouldn't either! read more

Excellent work every time. I have a Mercedes SUV and a 2011 Wrx they take care of both my cars! Honest and good work best prices arround read more

Good services, my wife's tire had a nail in it and she came here they plugged it for free(we didn't buy the tire here). It might be around or a little more than a big tire chain but it's worth it to me to help out a small business that helps people the way they helped my wife and has been in The community for years. They do routine maintenance too cheaper than jiffy lube and they won't charge you $35 to change a $8 air filter they'll tell you it needs changing explain it's easy and cheaper to do it yourself than leave it up to you. Thanks taps read more

Just when you think about giving up on trusting people in the auto/tire repair business, a young man like CLAUDIO, brings your hope back up! Thank you so much for taking care of business the old fashion way...with an honest handshake and a great job! read more

This is the only shop me and my whole family take our cars for oil changes, brakes, transmission services, and any other work we need for our cars. Excellent service coupled with insanely low prices. Never have had a problem with their work. They can work on any make or model. When I go to to auto shopes i always feel as if the people who work there are trying to steal my money by lying about what is wrong with my car. Never have had that problem here. If I can say the best quality they have here is honesty. They honestly tell what work you need and what work can wait. Once again after coming here I will never take my service else where. read more

I was recommended this place by my coworkers who are long time customers and after getting serviced today I know why! Honest, quick, and cost effective work! Hard combo to find. Moved to the area recently and was (extremely begrudgingly) forced to find a new mechanic. Had all three of my family's cars service here so far and been happy each time. Got a pair of new tires and they rotated them all around which was nice. They identified a problem with our van and then identified a better fix as they were working and immediately called us and got the situation handled. They work hard to finish their jobs quickly and are very informative throughout the entire process. read more
