I just took my car here for service to have my water pump replaced and spark plugs. I especially liked their communication when quoting me on how much my car would cost to be repaired. I felt their prices were reasonable for the work I had done on my car. They were referred to me by a smog shop across from them. They did an excellent job they were professional and to my surprise I had a little goodie bag in my car when I picked it up very nice touch. We just found our new Mechanic for our cars. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This place is terrible!!!! First of all my check engine light came on in my car. I found this place online and saw the good reviews so I made an appointment for servicing. When I got there at my appointment time they told me that they didn't see my appointment. That wasn't such a big deal as they told me that wouldn't be a problem, but what happened next is a major red flag. There were three men behind the counter. The two in the front were rude, arrogant, and obnoxious in their tone and demeanor. One asked me forceful and loudly "what's wrong with your car?" As I was trying to explain what was going on with my vehicle I had to look up the name of what my diagnostic said because I couldn't remember the name of it. While I was looking for it in my phone they were rudely asking where I got the diagnostic done. When I told them where I got my diagnostic they were mocking me and laughing at me about where I got my car diagnosis and said the diagnostic was most likely wrong. However, they said that they would fix my car for what my diagnostic test said if I wanted but if that wasn't the problem that was basically my fault if the issue wasn't fixed. So basically if I didn't pay the overpriced diagnostic test fee they would fix something on my car that might not even be the problem. One of them then went on to ask me did I need both parts replaced? It's important to note, he didn't look at me the entire time he was talking. It was as if I was of no significance to them as a potential customer. I told them what did they mean both parts and they mocked me again for not knowing. I didn't know what parts they were referring. After that, they quoted me prices of the cost per my diagnostic which would be, $108 for each part, labor cost and some other cost for $379. From their calculations it would have cost me almost $800 and that's not even accounting for other charges that would have occurred while they had the car had I paid for the second diagnosis. First of all, why would you fix something that wasn't the cause of the problem? Isn't that not safe on the mechanics part? What if I left and then I got in car accident from my car not properly functioning due to them not targeting the correct issue. They then went on to say that it would cost $179 for a new car diagnostic if I wanted to know for sure. Mind you the entire time they were fast talking me as if I was an idiot using fancy car terminology that I did not understand to the point where I had to politely ask them to slow down in their delivery in speaking with me. They were asking me questions about car parts that I didn't understand and then mocking my lack of knowledge. The vibes in this place is all about swindling innocent people perhaps women who also happen to be a Black person too who don't know much about cars. I don't know if it was because I am a woman or because I'm a Black American that caused them to behave in such a matter. Either way it was very strange. It was an uncomfortable situation that raised a level of fear inside of me due to their overwhelming verbal pushinesss and alpha male aggression. Of course I did not allow them to do anything to my car and I'm glad that I left because they were definitely overcharging me for the parts had I got the work done there. After I researched I found out that the part they tried to charge me that was $108 for two parts they said I'd need is only $30 brand new for my car model. Needless to say, the next place that I went were amazing! They diagnosed my car for half the price of Rancho autocare and come to find out that all I needed was an oil change. Imagine being out of $800 plus dollars when all that was needed was an oil change. My car is running beautifully. Thank you to the next place that I went for your excellent service to my vehicle and your customer service and respect to customers regardless of gender and race was outstanding. Anyone looking for an honest mechanic please do not go to Rancho Autocare . They will dupe you out of your money while verbally abusing you simultaneously. Not good. I was referred to Rancho Auto Care by Sal of Rancho Transmissions and Automotive after telling him my Honda was overheating. Kevin was a big help and clearly communicated every step of the way. The problem was diagnosed the same day it was towed in, the day after I gave the go-ahead to fix it, and today it's fixed. Very excellent service, and honest, too. Other less reputable places could have tried to say I had a blown head-gasket when I knew it was a radiator related issue. I got my car back clean and it works like new. Since Kenny has sold the business the place is not the same. Their new management is all about making a buck. I just had my truck serviced and in a week an exhaust sensor went out. They charged me to do a bumper to bumper inspection to tell me that my oil was fine and everything else that they had just survived. When I questioned the owner he told me that it was also for plugging the computer to get the code and the tech had to analyze it. Over 300 bucks? I recently had the same problem. Took it to the dealer. They did not charge me for analysis and gave me a print out at no charge. Bottom line. Don't go here you will get ripped off. I feel sorry for Shaun. Great guy and honest. I came here after a recommendation from another mechanic who didn't repair what my car needed. I left my car and they said they would be able to get to it either that day or for sure the next. I was pleasantly surprised when they had called me later the same day to give me the diagnosis and cost. They were able to complete the repairs early the next day and in less than 24 hours I had my car back running I'm great condition. Even though I hadn't asked, Shawn brought the old parts in a bag so I could see what had been replaced. That was an extra step that I appreciated. Service techs are thorough and quality work performed. Not overcharged for service or parts. Honesty goes a long ways. This business has been servicing the area for decades and I can see why. Business has grown as customer referrals have helped this place grow to at-least 3 locations that work in combination with each other. Definitely will be taking all vehicles to Rancho Autocare. I highly recommend Rancho Autocare to anyone. Kevin has been so helpful to me as I just moved to the area within the past year and have had several times when I needed help with my older Toyota 4 Runner. There is always reasonable availability for them to schedule me in. Even if it's an emergency and I need to drop off my car they're still able to work on it within a couple days at the latest. Kevin does a great job at explaining what is going on with my car as, naturally, car stuff can be a little confusing. I even had a situation where the ball joints that they replaced actually were faulty and affected my alignment within several months. Rancho Autocare and A & A Automotive (excellent car shop just down 9th st.) teamed up to fix the ball joints and were very generous to me during that time. We have a few vehicles and family vehicles we take in. The front desk service...it really depends who is attending the desk if you will be spoken to with respect or like an idiot. Recently we have taken two vehicles in for brakes. Satisfied with the work completed we pay (overpay) so now in debt on a credit card we still have issue with the brakes. POWER STEERING FLUID EXCHANGE ($139.95) Too expensive so I went to check out places and YELP directed me to RANCHO AUTO CARE. This was my first time here so being a new customer I had to observe everything about the place and people. When I arrived in the shop I parked in the back not knowing where to park, but the mechanic told me to go around through this one door with a smile so that was a good sign that the mechanics who will be working with my car are friendly and nice. Then I said I was looking for KEVIN and there he was standing with a smile by the door and I told him that I was the one who called regarding 3 problems with my Scion TC 2007 told by my dealer and he remembered me right away.. another good sign that he knows he customers well. Oh and when I called him about the 3 problems he laughed at the last 2 that I mentioned he said that I don't need those because my car is still young and for the Scion TC manufacture doesn't require those 2 services. Cabin Filter Replacement cost me $60.19 here at Rancho Auto Care not that much cheaper than Toyota SB but I trust this place more. Kevin explained to me why I don't need Throttle Body Service and Power Steering Fluid Exchange and he explained it so well. He could do those 2 services for me but I don't need them. He had to order the Cabin Filter because they don't stock that but the part arrived about 15 minutes after ordering. He doesn't like customers waiting long so he wants everything done as fast and efficient as possible. So while waiting I was asking Kevin questions about cars and he was explaining things very well with a smile and he is so friendly. He recommended things for the best and to save me money. Also, there was another very friendly customer there that I chatted with and that customer really loves Rancho Auto Care. THEN KEVIN BROUGHT UP A VERY BAD NEWS! TOYOTA SAN BERNARDINO NEVER PUT A CABIN FILTER IN MY CAR... I WAS SO MAD BUT GLADLY I FOUND MY NEW AUTO SHOP AND MECHANICS TO TRUST. I am beyond great full I came across this car shop. When I moved from the Bay Area to SoCal I went months without a "car guy". Yet it took a light to come on my dash, for me to get on yelp and find a highly recommended mechanic in the Inland Empire. Funny thing is, I went to a different machanic that's in the same parking lot as Rancho Autocare and the this car awesome shop and Kevin eased all my worries for me freaking out thinking something was wrong with my car and I would be carless. I'm so sick of this place and their poor business. I've been reluctantly taking my car to this place for a few years now because of my parent's trust in their work. I am a full time college student and only a part time worker so I haven't had much say. I was never convinced of their work quality and will never be convinced by their business quality. I have gotten work done several times by Rancho Autocare and Kevin and Sean always seem so upset at their job. How bored are you guys? Do you not like your profession? You always seem so down in the dumps. I've gone in many times to get my "Service Engine Soon" light turned off and every time I drop a few hundreds of dollars and after only a week(if not days) that light is back on! How about you make sure that you are checking that what you are fixing is the ONLY thing needing to be fixed, so that i'm not calling back and bugging you to look at my car again, since thats what you guys make it seem like I am doing, Bugging you. I've gotten electrical work done on my windows here too so that they can actually roll down and not even a year later they struggle to roll down!
