This Pick Your Part location was a solid experience overall. I came here to turn in my car through the California BAR program, and this is one of the approved locations that accepts vehicles through the state program. I'm really glad I went the state route. The generic Pick Your Part quote I got online was around $190, which was much lower than I expected. Through the BAR program, I ended up receiving a little over $1,000, which made a huge difference and was well worth meeting the program requirements. Finding the location was the only slightly confusing part. When I first arrived, I followed a sign that said "We Buy Cars" and made a sharp right, but that turned out to be the wrong entrance. If you're using Apple Maps, keep going straight instead. The correct office where the paperwork is handled will be on your left. Once inside, the front desk staff member was very friendly, helpful, and patient throughout the process. The paperwork took the longest, but everything was clearly explained. After the initial paperwork, I was directed back to the "We Buy Cars" area, drove straight down, made a small left, and found a mobile office where they finalized everything, took the car, and gave me the remaining documents. A couple of things to note: * Customer restrooms are portable toilets only, with a pump-style hand washer * Plan accordingly if that's important to you I arrived right when they opened at 9:00 AM and was completely finished by 9:53 AM, which I thought was very reasonable given the process. They handled everything on the DMV side and issued the check without any issues. Overall, a smooth experience, and I'd recommend this location if you're doing a BAR program vehicle turn-in. read more

UPDATE TO THE PYP LKQ (AI) RESPONSE: I've purchased this same exact item from multiple locations, including from this one a week before. A Lock Actuator Motor is NOT a computer "Chassis control module BCM" with a core fee as shown on my receipt! The cost difference is over 3 times! A lock motor in this case does not have control of the chassis or anything else, beyond its own lock actuating. The 30-40 yr. old, blonde hair, 5'11 guy with tattoos on his arms is a crook! He'll make sure your 1/2 off days end up being over 50% more instead! And I couldn't imagine on a regular day, 3x on the cost of the parts! And knowing it's going to be busy with rain, this location did not set up even 1 ez up or anything else for their customers at the entrance waiting, nor at the slow moving cashier line. I guess it's easier to take advantage of customers when they've been standing in the rain... since they probably won't leave their over priced parts behind] I go to many pyp locations and this location is by far the worst! Got there on the holiday 1/2 off day and it was raining. Nonetheless many were still there in line to get parts. The issues began when I had to check out from this location. Yes there was a big line in the rain because of the sale...but it was also because they had 1 window open full time, and occasionally 2. No help to get the line moving with so many people standing in the rain. Next was the cashier, he claimed my lock actuator was a body control module computer!! WTF!? Charged me for a computer and $5.00 core for both of my lock actuators. The 1/2 off sale was a sham! Incorrectly charging for parts is just wrong! He stated that I can just leave them and he won't charge for the 2 parts, but having been in the rain all day I had to just buy them. I paid double the regular price for actuators, and I paid a core that lock actuator motors don't even require! So on the rare half off day, I paid over double the normal price! The take it or leave it attitude of the employees was terrible! They had no regard for customers standing in the rain, and no regard for charging for the correct part type. They definitely need more training, and emphasis on customer service! read more

This is where you enter to retire a vehicle. Enter through employee parking lot and wait by the gate for instruction. Get approved online through their website and bring all required documentation. Make sure to check if you need to make an appointment. Once approved and inspected they will retire a vehicle. Apart from this service they're a full functioning pick a part $5 entrance fee includes all day access to their inventory of vehicles. Bring your own tools for self service auto parts or they can also remove the part for you with added fees. Used batteries and tires also available. And YES! for all us foodies there is a taco stand right in their parking lot by the entrance. read more

I needed a battery for a truck I was trading in on a new car purchase. Costco sells the battery for $125, WalMart had a cheap solution for $70. LKQ sold me a fully charged and tested used battery for $30 (plus $5 for admission). NOTE: Batteries are pre-pulled, charged and tested. They tested it again right in front of me. I left my old battery that had been confirmed dead at AutoZone as the core. I put the battery in our old truck and it roared back to life. The old truck is traded in, and I am on my way. Friendly service, helpful staff and ample supply. I did walk the lot a bit, you will need the website to locate the vehicle you are seeking. I've been pulling parts for Volvo's since I moved to SoCal 19 years ago. Multiple cars and multiple locations in PullParts that are now owned by LQK. Most recently to get a new dash pad for a '98 V70. Spent and hour pulling from the part in Ontario only to get to the checkout to have them argue with me that it isn't a dash pad....but now a DASH PANEL. of course that's $ 42 not $ 27 like the 4 other's I've purchased over the years. 5 minutes of arguing with the kid and the other female checker about what a dash pad is and lots of bullshit about how they define the parts and classify them. It's still a dash pad. Has always been a dash pad. I'm so tired of the upsell and overcharging of parts from LKQ .They have raised prices for everything way beyond what inflation can account for and constantly find a way to overcharge you. They tried to charge me for 2 back seats because it was a split 60/40 seat. It wasn't 2 seats..just one back seat. Thats a dash panel". What is a dash panel? Hard to define isn't it...just allows them to rename it and charge more "Well the vents are attached", they weren't "Well you don't have to buy it sir." I didn't. I am done. I will never enter another yard owned by this Corp. I left the part at the counter. It's really a shame for all of us that can only obtain parts like this from yards to keep our cars up and running. This place is a rip off. I went to get a charcoal canister off a car and online the price was $25. (charcoal canister comes with the vent valve all as 1 piece). When i went to check out the girl told me it was $87 with warranty and had the vent valve added separately and when i said online it says this part is $25 and it's all one piece she said " at pick a part we charge it all separate". So I didn't buy this part as online I can buy it brand new for $160 and not have to worry if it works or not. So don't waste your time pulling the part off and paying almost the same price as brand new. read more

I asked to speak to a manager, and she said for what? He's busy; I ask for her name, and she will not give it to me. Not sure what to say here, parts to pick yourself seemed comparable in price to what I can get on a variety of online shops without the hassle or perhaps a few dollars more but again, no trouble to buy and have shipped. I've gone a few times after monitoring various cars I was looking for and gone on the day they show up as available only to find someone has definitely beaten me to the vehicle (pick a part aside). It's tough because you have to take all necessary tools and not mind getting your hands dirty and rooting around to maybe save a few dollars. But over the past few times I've gone there, sadly, I can say that I would rather pay a few dollars more to avoid the hassle of DIY taking things apart - let alone hopping they have what you're looking for and having to pay just to hope that they do. I'm done with this location it's never a good experience. The guy at the gate is always a hassle to deal with. I'm confident he only got the job because of his sexual orientation, he is incompetent. I'm taking the time to complain because nobody does. I always watch him be rude to customers who struggle with English. I don't know why they give him any kind of authority. Today I was denied entry because he thought I looked too young and didn't have I'd. I'm 35 with a beard and have a few greys coming through. He didn't ask id for the guy who went in before me. So I feel like I got singled out when I called him on it he said that was policy and I needed to leave. Drove 1 hour to turn around. They need to do something about this guy he clearly shows signs of poor judgment and I will never return to this location. These places are not what they used to be no organization with inventory and employees. Prices are about the same as new new parts. They quadrupled, yes, 4x the price from October. Their parent company, LKQ, sells used parts of a higher quality that are already removed for not much more. So I don't get why they're trying to make these self serve yards close. Maybe the land is worth more for warehouses or homes. They're certainly not passing the money down to their employees because they're just as unbearable as before they raised their prices. They get most of these cars from Copart. Went to look for turn signal light for my truck and at my check in window I had the person doing the sign in check my bag for any tools I bring in but couldn't find a turn signal assembly so I had to leave location check another LKQ. As soon as I was about to leave I forgot I had a headlight bulb in my bag the guy assumed I had stolen it but I was brand new and I didn't argue with him I gave it to him as he assumed I have stolen something from a junkyard so for anybody of all ages old and young going to junkyards now you must have a camera on you for proof of evidence that you didn't steal anything because no it's more of a point of view that we all look like criminals in junkyards that's my thought and if that's how we see other people then maybe I should be the one checking them out for now if they wanna steal. read more

Read all the reviews and you'll see very mixed feelings about this place. I think in terms of the junkyard itself, it's amazing. It has a huge variety of cars, most people can find the part they are looking for. So there really shouldn't be any complaining about parts since you guys willingly came here and took the chance, you win some you lose some. The $3 entrance fee is fine, hopefully they'd make it a dollar someday, but most people can find $3 under their couch cushions, and if you can't afford $3, why are you even at the junkyard for real. One complaint is pricing of parts, it's so random. For the most part it's reasonable, but on occasions they'll really bump up the prices for some parts, which if that's the case, buy new instead. But like I said, you willingly paid $3 and knew there was a chance you weren't getting anything, so a $3 loss isn't the worst. I might have just got lucky with most of my pricing so far, but just be aware there could be a price spike that makes you not want the item. The only true negative that can't be avoided is the warranties. They made it so now you have to pay for warranty, but you can get a refund if you come back 1-7 days after purchase with receipt, very dumb considering some people might live a while away, waste of gas. Overall a 3 star unless they fix warranties, then I will change it to 4 star. Although for me it's defiantly the best location, the biggest one with the most cars, and btw they do offer carts and things to hold your parts, but a lot of times they are already being used. read more

I've been coming to this pick a part since I've moved out here in 2006.... Sadly I've had my first disappointing experience that infuriated me enough to write this review.. I spent 2 to 3 hours picking out a fuel pump assembly top to modify for one of my race cars...not the entire pump just the top...and the pig tail electrical connector that mates to it which is a part of the entire body harness...and a 12" peice of metal that covers the pump. Got up to the front and the guy wants to charge me 68 bucks for the 3...should have been around 20 bucks...I asked him for a breakdown on what he's charging me....fuel pump sending unit (I didn't have that, I had the lid/top)..2 wiring harnesses (I didn't have that I had 2 pig tails, not an entire body harness)..and 2 pieces of metal.. The checker said they didn't have an option for fuel pump top and had to charge me the entire thing....thats horse sh!t....I threw back 2 peices and kept the rest of the over priced items.... Then I get home and see my receipt had 90 day warrantee charges for 2 pig tail wiring harnesses and the fuel pump plastic top....(no one would buy warrantees for these parts)....I called and since 2022 they added this bullcr@p...every part gets an "optional" warranty that you the customer have to tell them u don't want.....who the hell operates that way...a new car dealer doesn't auto assign your car an extended warranty...best buy doesn't add on a 5 year warranty on your fridge without asking....thats a bullsh!t scam... They used to ask you if u wanted a warranty not tell u your getting one without asking or telling you how much it is The checker never even told me about these warranty when I asked for the price breakdown Here's where it gets even worse... I ask for a refund on the warranty, she wouldn't do it over the phone and I would have to drive in again, bring the parts to remove the warranty... Not only this..... But if I process the return in order to get my money back for the warranty, I cannot re buy the parts I was overcharges to begin with... What a effing scam.... I returned everything today out of principal...and instead of lkq making any money off of the parts I was overcharged for yet willing to re-buy. I was today to buy a cluster for my mustang. On their site at list price is 21 dollars. They charge me 56 dollars. Also I want to take some back lamp wires , on their list 8 dollars was 8 dollars they want 40 dollars. I think they really screwed themselves by putting cars on line and raising the price of entry. Now less people are willing to go into yard and just doing a search on their smart phone. EVERYONE HAS A SMART PHONE NOW!!! They should have either lowered or kept entry rate the same or not put cars on line. Plus to make matters worse the cars aren't even in the rows they provide on the website. I don't know how many times I've seen people at the window complaining that they traveled a far distance only to find car isn't even there. The marketing and business people should be fired. I guarantee they are losing lots of money. They should hire people like me as advisors, so that they don't continue to lose their asses. It's a darn shame! I love coming to pick a part but just walking in and seeing less people in the yard just means an inevitable closure. Also noticed they have raised all the prices;camshaft $350, rocker arms, $350 each, head $350. In other words if you are t not buying a complete motor, they don't want your business. Decent price on used car parts for hard to find parts or for diy people on a budget. Bring your tools, water& towel! It gets extremely hot in the yard& some cars a parked far, you have to walk out to them. You also MUST wear closed toed shoes. Due to possible broken glass, sharp metal & lots of dirt! It costs $3.00 to get in but goes towards any part you find. If you find nothing then it's $3.00. Buy the warranty on all parts it's super cheap .50- $3.00 or more depending on the part. This allows you to return the part if it doesn't work or fit your car. The staff were all very friendly helpful. read more
