Thank god for Walgreens and it's 24hr pharmacy! My insurance was screwed up and I needed medication ASAP for my 3 yr old. As it was Saturday, I would not be able to contact my insurance till Monday and I could not wait till then. I am not a fan of Walgreens. In fact, I have mostly avoided using them, as I have had many unsatisfactory transactions with them. However, last week I was looking for a particular hair care product on line, and on line it was noted that Walgreen's carries the product. So, reluctantly, I went in the store to purchase, as I believe in patronizing local stores, rather than buying on line. A young woman sales clerk named Mary in the cosmetics department helped me to look for the product on the shelves. It is not carried in the store. She then called the next closest store to see if they had the product on the shelves. They also did not. She suggested I purchase through the Walgreens online site, and showed me a possible alternative to the product I was looking for on the shelves. I did not end up purchasing, either on line or the alternative, but i was completely impressed by Mary's attention, follow through and genuine interest in helping me get what I needed. It is rare to find someone with that level of customer service these days, and as someone who has worked in sales most of my life in one capacity or another (even as a teacher, where you have to have your students "buy-in"), I very much appreciated her level of service. I hope the management in her store appreciates the high quality service she provides and rewards her accordingly. I may or may not change my mind about using Walgreens, but I am a fan of this young woman and will certainly consider going back to her when I have a need in the cosmetics department. read more

They are horrible they tell me I can fill my prescription when it's due today I went to cvs they filled it in 30 minutes this happens all of the time usually you go because you don't feel well and when they are giving you a horrible time and you feel like death is not cool! I would give them zeros stars if I could! My prescription is all ready pre approved threw iehp and they still say they can't fill it! So I asked for my prescription back and Like I said cvs had it filled in 30 minutes! They are so rude! When my dad was dying they gave him a horrible time and now he's dead! We visited Walgreens for a vitamin product that was advertised you guys carried and by our doctor recommended we had trouble finding it one of your Associates directed their undivided attention and great customer service towards us as we ask for help to find this product she helped us located the right one but it was just a little bit too expensive for us that day as we give up and walk off she continued the search and found a product that met our satisfaction and requirements that the doctor recommended it was also on sale not only sailboat clearance and was very affordable we were very happy to see you and play continue to look and help us after our interaction she had a great smile and a great attitude I think you should really be happy and appreciate to have an employee with a bench character and great customer service she's a great asset to the Walgreens team we will be back our family will continue the shop at Walgreens thank you for your five star service read more

clerks linda (i think) and christopher had *terrible* attitudes, took both of them to stand around and mess with the photo machine all the while complaining horribly about how they didn't know how to change the printer ribbon, telling me over and over that the machine is down from 11-2. so why did they provide a cable so i could get started if the system was shut down? i have used the photo machine several times before, between 11pm-2am, and *always* had friendly helpful service. these two acted like i was forcing them to run the boston marathon, griping nonstop. linda was the worst. nonstop repeating how she didn't know how to do anything over and over. whatever happened to trying? or learning? she has been there since last july she said. she said at least 200 things nonstop, none of them positive. she acted like it was impossible to ring up my photo order because she said she would have to calculate the taxes in her head. it was like it was going to be the end of the world. i used to come here when they were courteous, but to have put up with this negative incompetent too lazy can't do their job add your tax in my head bs, c'mon. the best way to vote is with your wallet. my vote is not with a place that employs and rewards dreadful attitude and total incompetence. read more

Only giving it two stars because the clerks were very friendly when I went originally pick up my prescription I ran into a refill problem with my insurance so I had to go to Costco to get it filled it was eight bucks at Costco with no insurance 33 at Walgreens since I didn't have the original prescription Costco had to call Walgreens to transfer prescription was on hold for 40 minutes the first time I had to call personally and they said they had no calls on hold the pharmacist called a second time and was on hold for an additional 30 minutes or so he stated this happens a lot they don't like it when we steal their customers I would have continued to be a customer at Walgreens even though my copay is $15 and the prescription is $8 at Costco that amount of wait time is ridiculous I was with my 3 kids and I was a customer of Walgreens just in a predicament they lost my business for good and FYI you can get all your prescriptions filled at Costco without a membership card for most likely cheaper than your copay two of my prescriptions from there have been cheaper than my copay read more

The holiday aisle is always too crowded with crap! Also it takes forever to check out because there is only 1 cashier for every 7 people in line. I've only seen the second register open probably twice. I'd almost rather drive a little further to Rite-Aide, but most of the time I don't and just suck it up. read more

Super rude! My best friend and I went in after work at about midnight or so and my friend needed to use the restroom. She went to the front and asked the cashier for the code to the restroom and the cashier denied her. After 10 minutes of shopping around, my friend couldn't hold it any longer so I went to the cashier this time. I asked politely to use the restroom and she said that the restrooms were locked until 8AM. I was utterly confused. So I said to her, "Since the restrooms are closed until 8 AM, you too are denied the facilities until 8AM?" She didn't reply and I said,"Thanks for nothing, lady." I walked back to my friend and shook my head. I couldn't believe a customer was being denied the restroom! There was another employee stocking shelves and he overheard what I was saying. I was fuming! Turns out he was the manager and he opened the door for my friend. read more

Nothing but bad attitude from the Pharmacy. I unfortunately take pain medication. I have used Walgreens for years. Every time I have to go in I am given an attitude. I have legitimate prescriptions written by a legitimate doctor. Its the same meds, same doctor, same time frame always. I am treated like a drug seeker. They always find a reason to delay filling the prescription. My doctor is out of the area but its the same doctor ALL THE TIME. Its always 'we have to call to verify the prescription'. I made the error of trying to fill a combination of meds on a Monday of a holiday weekend. It was a visiting pharmacist. She disgraced and berated me in front of all the customer saying I should not be given these meds, saying you cannot see a doctor out of the area, you should be seen by Pain Management doctors, we dont know your condition. She went on and on. I asked her to please look at my history, same meds, same doctors. She refused. Lately their excuse is they do not have the quantity I need. I do not appreciate being scolded, embarrassed or turned away. Turning a customer away or frustrating them to the point of giving up is a form of discrimination. Wouldnt you think that a reputable pharmacy could stock a med that I require and fill on a regular basis? I lived in San Diego for 20 yrs. The Walgreens in the Point Loma area NEVER treated me disrespectfully. I know there are a lot of drug addicts in the area. I am not one of them. read more

poor customer service....on more then 5 or so occasions i would walk in to find no cashier at the register, cluttered merchandise in isles and when i am normally ready to check out i wait up to 4-5 mins sometimes for the elderly woman (with long gray hair,normally wearing a dress and big glasses like george burns) to come to the register in which i am met with attitude and smart-allic remarks from her. read more
