So I'm updating my review. At Walgreens I paid $12 for just 1 of my prescriptions. I never thought it was too much. But dealing with their various excuses for poor service ( masked as issues with their computers or phone lines) has made me transfer my prescriptions to Walmart. They were polite and helpful and even "welcomed" me to Walmart rx family. I paid $5 for all 3 prescriptions.... Why didn't I transfer earlier? Because I thought Walgreens had great service. I'm a new Rx customer to this location after the pharmacy that I was going to closed and redirected me here. It appears that the pharmacy did nothing to prepare & have little empathy for those of us waiting on medication that could, quite literally, be impacting our life span. As of now, here I sit after 4 days of coming to the pharmacy and being told "later today." I still don't have my cancer medication and am sitting here with hopes that they are actually going to fill it. When trying to get the pharmacy receptionist to understand that I could not go another day without my medication... the medication that is intended to stop my cancer from growing... she repeated the same sentence over and over as if I were a child and couldn't understand her. I understand that they are likely dealing with numerous unhappy customers, but they need to do better. This is absolutely unacceptable. read more

I spent almost an hour and a half there picking up one medication. Claim their understaffed I left there and went to harris teeter completely different experience. Went back two years later to pick up my medicine. Same thing waited another hour. Definitely need new management. Worst experience I've ever had picking up any kind of medicine. read more

I called and ordered my prescriptions for refill, confirming with a staff that the meds were done correctly through the automated system. I went to pick up the meds: "I have 2 ready for pick up", charged me, gave me the meds. They gave me the wrong inhaler. I told the clerk and she spoke to the pharmacist. She refunded me for the wrong inhaler. THEN told me they didn't have the right one in stock. Well, I need SOME KIND OF INHALER so I asked her to just give me the wrong one back. She said she can't, it now needs to be refilled in their system. Yeah. read more

First time at this Walgreens, but frequent the chain. The location off Princess Anne, you cannot see it from the road as it's one block off on Lynnhaven beside Home Depot. The parking lot was tidy. My visit on an early weekday morning. No greeting entering the door. I needed insect bite cream. I went to the pharmacy area and received no assistance. I could not locate exactly what I was looking for an left. The shelves and area was clean. I would visit again and it would be nice to have staff interaction. read more

Literally the worst. The store is fine but I always struggle to get asthma medicines for my kids filled here. The website says it will be ready same day for pickup and then a week later still nothing. Last time it was because their system sent a request to the Dr but it just sent a message into the abyss because that's not how the pediatrician's office works. You have to call. Which meant I had to call the pharmacy first and wait on hold FOR AN HOUR. To be told "we're waiting to hear back from the dr's office". Then I had to call the dr myself to be told to leave a message for the nurse which could take 3-5 days. This time it's now been five days and we're about to run out of medicine again for apparently a very mysterious Top Secret reason. If only their glorious "system" could just send me a heads up that there is a delay. A call. An email. A text. At this point I would accept a handwritten paper letter. Literally anything other than "in progress" would be amazing. If there's a problem with insurance tell me because there's a problem with my kid's lungs which seems more crucial. Anyway they're super nice inside but grossly understaffed and completely at the mercy of the computer system. I moved my asthma medicines elsewhere. read more

Almost a year since the Rite Aid closed and made the decision to transfer all prescriptions to Walgreens. It was hectic at first, and a year later it's still no better. They still have not fully staffed this location to handle the volume that they accepted (truthfully without agreement from the Rite Aid patrons). I've been here two days in a row trying to get my prescription. Yesterday the line was wrapped 1/2 way around the building and didn't move an inch after 20 minutes. Came back today, and luckily I was only behind 4 cars. It's been 30 mins and they have helped THREE cars. It's absolutely ridiculous that they will harass you by sending multiple text messages telling you your prescription will be put away if you don't hurry up and get it, but then you can't get it because they have no workers! So frustrating that it took 45 minutes in the DRIVE THRU to get my prescription that has been there for a week. When I finally got through the line, they were only able to partially fill my prescription so now I have to come back....again! read more

PLEASE HIRE MORE PEOPLE TO WORK IN THE PHARMACY!!!!!! It is ridiculous that I have to wait in line for 30 minutes just to pick up one prescription that was already filled! I feel like Walgreens at a Virginia Beach location does not care and just wants to make more money even though they have doubled the amount of population in the last 6 months due to rite aide closers! Worst ever, they told me the prescription was going to be ready to go through the drive through to pick up. after 30 minutes waiting in line they closed the window when I got there, will not buy there ever again and will ask for my prescription back tomorrow so I can fill it in a pharmacy that is emphatic towards its customers. I go to Walgreens all the time but this is my first time at this location. I came here to place an order for printing photos and Erika and Jose did an amazing job walking me through the process. They both helped me download the app and they walked me through what size to choose and how to place the order through the app. They made it extremely easy and the photos printed out about 3 minutes later. This store is very clean and all of the staff were so helpful and nice. There is decent parking space and they even have a Redbox if you were looking to rent some movies. The only downside was it was kind of hard to find because Home Depot covers it up but other than that it was an amazing experience read more

By far the worst Walgreens ever. I always try giving the benefit of the doubt, but every single experience I have had at this location has been just as disappointing than the next. Service in the pharmacy is terrible, slow, and just apathetic. No one seems to ever know what is going on,they leave you on hold for over an hour sometimes or just hang up on you.(because this happened more than three times.) They tell you a medication will be ready at a certain time, only to get there to be told either it's not ready or they don't even have your medication at the store, but no courtesy call nor a notification. I've given this location a chance for months and it never gets better. Don't bother going to this location. read more

Walgreens are usually the same around the country and I find this one not much different. I usually fill my prescriptions but due to the cost of them going up everytime I seem to fill it, I e since moved them to home delivery. I still get my photos printed here, though. Walgreens, I'm sure has a lot of down time but I always wish that had that extra person working since the front counter person seems to be the only one working so when I do print photos, I have to wait a long while sometimes. Very clean and the service is always great, though. I'll continue to use my neighborhood Walgreens. read more

Out of all the Drug Stores I have to say Walgreens is my one of my favorites because they carry a good variety of many things you need. This particular store is always clean and the isles are clutter free with things being in place. The employees here are professional, friendly as well as ensuring that you are finding what you need. During Christmas you can certainly find great gift items like perfume or cologne gift sets which are in some cases cheaper than others. It's just a great store, good prices and friendly service! read more

They say they short staff so it's not gonna be finished until 30 minutes so I wait outside for 30min, come back they say it's not finished yet. They will try to finish before 8. This location has the worst pharmacy service I've ever experienced. It used to be ok until two or three months-ago and it has gotten worse with each visit since. On multiple visits it has taken well over 30 minutes just to pick up a prescription. The pharmacy techs are slow as molasses. Will be looking for a new pharmacy. I tried to give them time to work it out but enough is enough. read more

I have always had a pleasant experience with Walgreens except this one.They need customer service training. I went to the consultation stand at the pharmacy and the pharmacist walked past me multiple times and never acknowledged me even though he looked at me. After a few minutes I decided to go to the regular line and the associate was more concerned with people in the drive through than she was the people standing in line. The associates in the pharmacy are either not wearing masks or not wearing them properly including the pharmacists. Probably one of the worst Walgreens I have been in. I typically prefer Walgreens over other pharmacies but not this location. read more

This is my all time favorite frug store, the loyalty program is awesome it seems like every time I go I have rewards to redeem towards my purchase and their little clearance section has very useful things! They also carry NYX cosmetics which they often have a BOGO or clearance sale on make it a point to visit if you haven't already read more

Do NOT go here to use as your primary pharmacy. They are always backed up. The last two times I've spent over half an hour in the drive through and not during peak hours. read more

This Walgreen The one across the street from Walmart's on linnhaven it seems to be super busy at this pharmacy they are now telling customers that they are Backup on filling Prescriptions and they are not Fully staff .
