The photo center at this Walgreens has been TERRIBLE for years! They are rude and incompetent when it comes to handling any issue. To be honest, I avoid this place as much as possible. I ordered an 8x10 through the WALGREENS WEBSITE for SAME-DAY PICKUP. I received a confirmation email with an order number. Over 24 hours later, I have not received the "your order is ready for pickup" email. Over 36 hours after submitting my order, I go into the store to see if it's there (sometimes the print is ready but the email hasn't been sent). The employee cannot find the print, he also cannot find the order. "Sometimes this happens," he says. He assists me in resubmitting the picture using the kiosk in store. He was kind enough. My issue is with his "manager," Jose, who thought it was best to blame me for not properly submitting the order online. How was the order not properly submitted when I received a confirmation with an order number?! It's so frustrating that their systems cannot look up an order with an order number. What's the point of the order number? Btw, I've been ordering from Walgreens Photo online for decades, so I'm pretty familiar with how to place an order. I used a Walgreens code for a free 8x10, which was successfully accepted by the Walgreens website online. In the store, Jose tried to charge me again for the same print, which they were only reprinting due to the technical (or user) glitch on their end resulting in me never having received the first print. Apparently, he's so scared of upsetting his boss at the photo center that he didn't want to use his managerial discretion to offer a solution, but chose to blame the customer instead. This review is strictly about the photo center. I ordered pictures online for my grandsons 1st bday for my daughter to pick up. When she went into pick the pictures up after receiving her email confirmation of order ready, she was treated very rudely by their staff. They told her first her pictures were not there, and as she persisted, the clerk asked her for the last name again, she said it could be under this name or that name both starting with a C. The lady very rudely said this is the problem with having 2 names I have to look through the envelopes twice. Then she asked what was the largest size picture that was ordered and when my daughter said an 8x10 she said, well why didn't you say that... I'm looking in the wrong bin. My daughter said, how would I know how you set up your picture system, you should maybe ask that question first. This is the 2nd time she's had issues here in there photo center with being treated extremely rude and incompetent workers. read more

If I could give no stars I would. On their app had $3.99 zzz quil (walgreen brand) buy one get one 1/2 off. Only thing stated was prices online and in store May vary. The cashier very sweet called the on duty manager Gurpreet who was rude and would not honor the buy one get one 1/2 off. She said I had to purchase online. Not even looking at the page. It sucks I like their prints but every time I come in to pick up same day orders either nobody is at the photo counter or there's a long line for one person to help you out. Their pick up system just isn't convenient at all either tried to save time and pay online or at least I thought I had and came in without my wallet only to get told my card wasn't ran after all and had to run out to grab it. At this point I'd rather get them mailed to me and wait a couple days then have to deal with the inconvenience every time. read more

Called pharmacy to see if they carried a padded neck brace and was placed on hold by what seemed to be a very polite female who never came back...the system rang back the pharmacy and someone picked up and placed me back on hold until it timed out and rang back and someone picked up and put me back on hold...until it rang and rang and rang until the system hung up on me...quality customer care... read more

Okay, so I can admit when I am wrong. I've been back to this Walgreens pharmacy many times since my last review and they have really stepped up their game. i may have just gone in during peak times in the past, but it seems they have gotten things together. Stacey is awesome; I'm sure she deals with so much crap throughout the day, but every time I see her, she has a positive attitude. Literally every time I walk into this Walgreens after 5 seconds I hear on the intercom "ALERT. SECURITY NEEDED IN MAKEUP AISLE. SECURITY. WALK THE FLOOR." And I'm CLEARLY the only person in the makeup aisle and within a minute every nearby employee peaks around the corner watching me & one always hovers trying to make conversation. Online photo poster board order for a funeral to help family. This was a purchase made online by me in the Eastbay for a family to pick for a funeral. My card information was taken online to include billing information. It stated my card would be charged once the item was picked up. Come to find out my card wasn't charged and cousin had to use her credit card for the purchase. I have a problem with not knowing what information I should have given her so that the transaction would have been a smooth process due to our situation. The website needs to be clear, the person picking up should be asked clearly do you want to use the card of the order if that is what the process in-tells. Customer service is decent but the pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. It's always backed up and they never have enough help. I feel bad for the girl that's running it by herself. They look like they're always busy which I totally understand. It's very frustrating when you're told that your order will be ready after a certain time of day and you come 3 hours after the fact and they tell you after waiting a half-hour in line that your order is not in stock and it will be ready three days from then. I usually always frequent Walgreen's in Berkeley Ca because that's were I live. Over the Thanksgiving holiday I was in the Vacaville Ca area visiting family for the holidays. I got very sick, and trouble with my asthma, and ended up being hospitalized in Kaiser Vacaville Ca for a few days being bed stricken. When I got released I had prescriptions for my medications, and for a breathing treatment machine. When I got there the pharmacist informed me that 3 of my prescriptions the Dr did not sign. I then asked if he could call Kaiser, or if I can call Kaiser, and have it taken care of over the phone, explaining I just barely got released out of the hospital. He then told me the only way I could fix this problem was me going all the way back up to Kaiser to get them signed. I go back up to Kaiser, barely being able to breathe! and Kaiser calls the pharmacist at Walgreen's, and handles everything over the phone!!!! Kaiser also thought it was ridiculous for him to send me back up to the hospital to handle this in my current condition! When I get back to Walgreen's' ( at this rate I'm very upset !!!!! ) I ask the pharmacist why couldn't that be done in the first place which I had suggested. His only response was ... He's sorry he wasn't aware he could do that!!!!! This is just ridiculous, and so incompetent!!! My regular Walgreen's in Berkeley is always willing to contact the Dr if there's a problem & I told him that! Looking at other reviews people have left for this pharmacy, looks like they too are complaining over the same Horrible treatment. I could have passed out in Walgreen's! That could of cost me my life! All over because the pharmacist was just too lazy to even try to help me contact the Dr, and just was on a High Power trip that he wanted it done his way! I also called back to the pharmacy manager, he also apologizes for the pharmacist saying he wasn't aware. I think an apology was not sufficient for the Horrible experience I endured at this pharmacy! I pray nobody experiences this again there. And I am planning on making an official complaint with the California State Board Of Pharmacy as well. Nobody in my condition ( which the pharmacist seen ) should ever be treated like this. This was just plain old ignorance!!!! Very UNHELPFUL pharmacist at this store. Needed help on some glycerin didnt know if it came as a liquid or in a cream, figured she know, (what was I thinking) and she said the only liquid we have is for children and I asked where and she pointed down there right hand side. Ok. Never did find it, manager of store helped but we too could not find it, so I did tell her what an unhelpful pharmacist you have. My point is she was very unprofessional and basically didnt want to be bothered with it. Most pharmacist i have delt with actually come out and help look for what you need or offer another option. This is hands-down the worst pharmacy I have ever experienced in my life and they could care less if the prescriptions are correct or ready when they're supposed to be. How can anyone say anything negative about Walgreens in Vacaville??? Walgreens on Alamo is just a mere two blocks from my house. But that is not the reason I go there often. I go there because management... Like Sandra, don't have a problem when my son who has autism has a meltdown in the store. Suzanne, and make up has found a shade that actually matches my skin tone beautifully in foundation. And then, getting my meds while I shop? This store has the least useful management, and e is certainly not friendly. The staff seems a bit slow and will finish their conversation with people while a line builds up. They had one guy there that was slow but his personality was wonderful and he always looked out for deals for the customer. I don't really think highly of staging and customer service but the store is neat and clean so. I guess that's why I gave it 2 stars. read more

If you need a pharmacy for any reason, DO NOT COME TO THIS STORE unless you're super bored and have nothing better to do with your life. Find a different location. Even if it's farther out, it'll be faster than coming to this store. There were people trying to pick up prescriptions during their breaks who had to eventually get out of line to leave. This pharmacy is SOOOOO slow, unorganized, and extremely unprofessional. They're definitely understaffed, but they don't give AF. It's just utter chaos. I just wanted to get OTC meds but didn't know I'd be in here for 40 minutes. There were more ppl behind me in line than there were ahead of me...so those poor ppl still waiting in line probably waited for almost an hour. I felt bad for the folks who waited in line for 30 mins to 1 hour and then were told they would have to wait or come back because the prescriptions weren't filled yet (even though it should've been done hours earlier). read more

Simple store, great hours but pharmacy isn't 24hr. I think that could easily make this place 4 stars because of the location. I have to drive all the way to fairfield for a 24hr pharmacy and it is CVS. So walgreens loses my business when I need drugs. Line at pharmacy is usually long here when I get there, but typical of anytime after most people get off of work. Store is generally clean and staff is usually available is you have questions. read more

Service so bad I hung up the phone after wanting to claw my eyeballs out. Called in, punched in the right options to get to the photo department. Was put on hold, then someone picked up and I tried to explain I was on hold for photo and they're not answering and they didn't even let me finish they simply routed me back to the photo department. Went through this cycle twice more, only they didn't ask if anyone had picked up, they simply put me on hold again. Someone finally picks up the phone and says hello. I had to ask if they're photo department or not, to which she says yes. Ok, they can finally answer my question now. I explain to them I have an aunt who isn't technology savy and will require physically going into the store to have pictures printed from either a CD or DVD that she loads into their kiosk in-store. I ask if there is a MB size limit per file and also if there are any disk limits and/or issues with what type of disk I use (CD or DVD). While asking my question she interrupted me twice, as if she was busy and didn't want to deal with hearing my question in it's entirety. After finally getting her to understand her response was that it should work. I clarify and ask what do you mean it works? Can I give her a DVD with a 4.7 gb capacity, or does it have to be a 700 mb CD? Her exact response was "I think so." I pause for a second and gather my thoughts and reply "I need to know what type of disks will work with your kiosk in-store, that's my reason for calling. I need to be certain before giving my aunt a disk with pictures on it that may or may not load properly to your kiosk." She immediately says let me find someone who knows for sure and puts me on hold again. Just like the guy, she didn't ask if she could place me on hold, was just an instant click and put back on hold. I hung up the phone after a minute because I didn't have the capacity to continue this circus with them about what should honestly be a blatantly simple question they should know the answer to. I really like this store. Whenever I need anything and I don't want to go to the big chain stores I come here because it's nice and small and convenient. The workers are ok. They like to stay away from you except for one lady who works at the makeup counter she's pretty nice and she always ask if you need help. I come here if I need makeup, toothpaste or even something small like hair accessories. This is the place to go. But since they're small they're also limited in items. But other than that, very convenient store to go to. Prices aren't bad either. Their competitive in some ways but also very overpriced. So make sure you know a bargain when you see it. read more

The staff is friendly and caring of everyone customer. I had to transfer from another pharmacy and they helped me get into their system and were very helpful and nice about it, even though the information was confusing and kind of a hassle. I rate 4 star because of the lines. There has always been a line of at least 3-4 people ahead of me, any time of day that I come here. I have tried different times of day and it doesn't matter, always a line. And usually only 1 person who is helping customers. This part definitely needs changing. Every time I am here there are people waiting in line with very sour attitudes because of the wait. I can't blame them but I chose to not get upset, even though the line and the wait is annoying. At least the service once you actually get helped is excellent. read more

Horrible, horrible service from two techs on the same day. I have never met someone who completely lacked work ethic the way these two women did. They were rude and unprofessional. After an almost three hour ordeal I had to leave without my prescription because they flat out refused to do their job because it required effort. I then had to go home, email my doctor and ask them to transfer my prescription to Safeway where I had absolutely no problems. Walgreens is only a block away from my house and I shop there frequently. Unfortunately I will never step foot in this store again. I will also let my fellow union brothers and sisters know to not take their business to Walgreens. Extremely disappointed. read more

We went to Walgreens in Vacaville for flu shots and RX pickup. We waited almost 45 minutes before the pharmacist even came over to administer the shots. There were at least 10 people waiting in line for service, and only one employee waiting on customers. When my partner went in the cubicle to get his shot, there was no needle in the kit, and the staff in the pharmacy couldn't locate any needles whatsover. Needless to say, we left without any shots... Very poor management, and totally understaffed. Working the one efficient employee at the register to death. Never again at this location! read more

Pharmacist was a bit bad tempered and kept saying the pharmacy I have had prescriptions filled at were going to be audited because they interpreted instructions differently than she did (never asked to get clarification or to fix after clarification). After 15 years of using Walgreens for my prescriptions, I am done with this Alamo location: so short staffed, wait in line for the longest times no matter when you go. Pharmacy never has my prescription medication for glaucoma, have to call back many times until they have the medication in stock. My MD calls in a prescription and the pharmacy says they didn't receive it. Then they look around, find it but it isn't ready. I'm retired but even I don't have time for this run around. The last 3 times I've filled my prescription it has not been ready.The automated system says pick it up..So last time I get there they have me wait to fill it..
