There were a couple really nice staff at and near the check stand. Both African-American, and I'm sorry to say I didn't catch their names. The first was a tall, thin, female near the check stand who was speaking with other staff. When she saw me approaching she smiled broadly and directed me to a cashier. I really appreciated that since I had just left a (different) store where staff ignored patrons so thank you! My cashier much shorter with gray hair was super nice, friendly, and had a great sense of humor! Can't recall the last time checkout was so pleasant. Lol. If I could give zero stars, I would, because this place has officially pissed me off for the LAST time. This is the SECOND time I've had a problem here. The first time, an employee had the nerve to accuse me of stealing a TWO DOLLAR item -- something I had already PAID for. I literally had to show her the receipt to prove it, and when she realized she was wrong, she just stood there QUIET. No apology, no "my mistake," nothing. Just attitude after falsely accusing a paying customer. Absolutely ridiculous. And today? I'm here with my autistic daughter, who's crying and overwhelmed -- and the employee is LAUGHING. Another one is just standing there staring at us like we're a sideshow. Who TF laughs at a struggling toddler? Who does that? It's disgusting and it shows exactly what kind of people they hire here. I'm an honest person. I work hard for my money, I don't steal, and I sure as hell don't deserve to be treated like this -- and neither does my child. This place needs a complete reset: New staff, new training, new everything. Because the way customers are treated here is nasty, unprofessional, and honestly embarrassing for a business. Today I went to make an exchange not get a refund on a pair of pants that were bought for my birthday. I have no receipt so I took the pant to customer service. I got to the line in customer in a handicap cart since I am an amputee. The ladies a white and a black women just stared and acted like they were busy. Finally the older white lady asked my to come up. I explained that I needed and exchange and before I could finish she look me down and said if it's more than 20 there's nothing I can do. Told her yes it more than 20 dollars. A pair of dickies pants that cost 27 dollars just needed a bigger size. I felt since I am of Latino background she didn't want to help but yet a young man of white race was before me returning several items was gladly helped. I don't understand why people stop you after you check out. You watched me scan my items. You even have cameras at self check out. I have to show you my receipt to prove I purchased something so you can add a sticker for more proof that I purchased it already. Then when you're walking out there's another person that supposedly also checking receipts. Three step verification just to leave the store?? I pay for WM+ which is probably my mistake since it's never "scan and go" it's "scan and let me stop you to verify you actually paid for your stuff." Scan and go at Sam's is always smooth. So much. The customer service desk does not have hours posted. They close at 7pm and yet online it states customer service is open when the store is open. FALSE FALSE FALSE. How are we the customers supposed to make informed decisions when there is erroneous info and no hours posted??! Also, there were over a dozen ppl lined up and even made it hard for ppl who were entering the store. Confusing comes to mind. No carts for newly arriving ppl anywhere; this added to the loss of what was going on for some. Arcelyn was left alone up front to do the customer service desk. The one person that was "helping" Arcelyn kept having "errors" and so some customers that had stood in line and even may have had some disabilities, were turned away due to the "errors" by covering help. She was no help. I went to the counter with my barcode for my two simple returns and "helper" said she couldn't help me, that I was to wait for Arcelyn. Doesn't make any customer service sense to me. I went for some late night grocery shopping and normally they won't have a lot in stock but this time they did and everything was super fresh!!! I went to self check out however I had to get rung up by an employee off to the side since I had alcohol. Electronics/Photo department is one of the one areas staffing is necessary, not just desirable, in order to have locked cases opened or photo orders handed to customers. Waited between 11:00-11:20 today and not a soul in sight. Another associate who walked by suggested staff was on a break and said someone was on their way after making a phone call. Worst customer service in the oil change department! Why offer appointments if staff don't even make an attempt to accommodate? My appt was at 9 for an oil change and I arrive at 855 ( because they state on their website they will cancel after 15 min if you are not there). Shopped for an hour in the store which is like walking into a twighlight zone with employees yelling and walking around talking on their cellphones! Come back to the auto center @1015 to see my car had not even been pulled into the garage yet! I even gave them till 1030 and finally asked for my keys back. No communication what so ever! I understand being short staffed which is not the customers issue but to not communicate to customers is ridiculous! People make an appt to be able to plan their day and your lack of consideration for your customers is ridiculous! Yet another time this specific Walmart has only one representative working the return lines at the height of a weekday at 12:30P. The management at this store is superbly below acceptable standards. The wait time to return items is comparable to the 30 mile drive to American Canyon where it seems they have 10 fold the amount of staff at the Vacaville location. I visited this store in which I have been a frequent customer at, About 2 weeks ago I ordered a Kitchen Aid to be delivered to my house, it was substituted with a different color and upon arrival I thought I would like the color so I set it up in my kitchen but did not use it. it was in my house for maybe 2 days before I decided the color was not to my liking and I decided that I would return it. Unfortunately my fiancé has been battling cancer and had to undergo a surgery for it during that time frame so it wasn't until today that my fiancé finally felt well enough to go out of the house and we decided that something quick and simple as doing an exchange at Walmart would be okay. When we get there guest services was closed and we were told to talk to a manger to help which we found some employees near by and they said they would call over the coach on duty. Once he came he immediately started questioning us and asked if we even had a receipt for the item -which we did- and we told him what had happened and that we just simply didn't like the color. He began to open the box and complain about that fact that there was some cat hair in the box (I own two cats and that hair gets everywhere even when I try my best) and said we clearly used it and why we would wait so long (again my fiancé had just undergone surgery for cancer) and was getting so aggravated that the other employees even tried calming him down and explaining we had what we needed for a return. He said he would not help and that we could come when guest services was open. When we asked if we would still be able to return it tomorrow he said he didn't know and that he was simply not going to speak to us anymore and walked away. Me and my fiancé were both stunned because we had at no time been mean or aggressive in any way so we didn't understand why he was so upset with us. That kitchen aid cost us about 300$ so I'm sorry but I feel I have the right to change my mind about the color. Appliances are constantly opened and returned and we weren't even asking for our money back, simply an exchange and we were not only treated rudely but also questioned by this man as if we had stolen it when we had proof that we clearly didn't. Regardless of whether it had been 2 days or 15 days there is a 30 day return or exchange period so this shouldn't have been as big of an issue as we were made to feel it was. read more

I went to the tire shop as I had a strew in my tire. It was so bad it deflated in less than 5 min. We pulled up and literally there were no other customers or vehicles were there. I walked up and spoke to 2 young techs. I was told there was a 2.5 to 3 hours wait. He stated there were appointments ahead of me. Umm , remember no other vehicles or customers were there. I tried reasoning with him for 10 min. He put air in my tire and gave me names of others shops. This would have taken 10 min to fix. I always at least I used to always have my tires done here. The lady at the fitting rooms is the rudest person I have ever met in my life, I'm not someone who usually complains but she needs to be fired ASAP and I pray for the next job that she gets. Me and my friend were walking up to the changing rooms and before we could even finish walking up or ask anything she starts waving the keys in our face with an extremely big sarcastic scowl. We just froze extremely confused and she goes "I'm showing you THE KEYS! Do you NEED the changing rooms?!" And we just stood there frozen and confused and she keeps shaking the keys at us with this extremely rude twisted expression. We were just frozen there stunned and finally I said "Yeah we wanted to try this on..." and she does this big sarcastic smile then snaps "That's why I was showing you the keys!!" And she starts to walk away and me and my friend just look at each other and finally go "you know what nevermind". And we walked away. I'm not sure when this happened, but everything in the beauty and personal care department is locked up. It's likely to curb theft, but it's an extreme inconvenience. You have to hit a button and wait for an attendant to come unlock the items for you. Then, if you plan to continue shopping, they'll take your items to the checkout area, lane 8, which is busier than the other lanes. So now not only do you need to wait to get the products from the locked up area, you also have to wait in a longer line when checking out. We waited a good 5 minutes for an attendant to come today. For face wash. LOL! This is most definately the last time I shop here at this Wal-Mart. For anyone reading this, I would recommend Target, it's in the next shopping center, and their products are not locked up. read more

I honestly don't know why I'm leaving this review but as a parent, I feel the need to warn new moms about trying to just simply "exchange" diaper sizes here. Especially without a receipt. Came here to simply get smaller sizes since everyone gave us the big sizes at our baby shower. Unfortunately we have no room to store diapers. Older lady at the counter said they don't do returns or exchanges without a receipt and that I needed to bring peoples cards or ask for the receipts to do the exchanges. To simply get a different size... I don't like Walmart for many reasons but this just adds to why I don't shop here. Especially for baby/kids things. Go to target where no matter if you have a receipt, if you say you need a different size of something your kids grow out of super quick, they'll take your exchange or return. read more
