My son and I came to Walgreens to take passport pictures for his passport renewal. The store was not busy overall. We walked straight to the back of the store where the photos counter was. There was no one working the counter. There was a contractor waiting to sign off some work there. After a few minutes I asked him if there was anyone working the counter and was told that the lady was suppose went in the back room and was going to come back out. After close to 10 minutes, the contractor finally went to ask an employee molted to go get the lady so she can sign off his work. Afterwards, she did help us with the passport photos. She was nice, took my son's photo, uploaded it to the system and told use it would be a few minutes while she crops, touched up the photos and print them. It ended being up closer to 10 minutes as she had to help another customer with something. Walgreens is a place to get passport pictures ($16.99 plus tax) and have other pictures printed (self serve kiosk), but if you need help, be prepared to do a little waiting around. read more

The service here on Alamo is ridiculous. They say it will be an hour, you go back and still not filled so wait another hour! They should have someone there to fill the orders if you are waiting. She called my original Walgreens location for my prescription and went above and beyond to help me get my medication before my trip. The Pharmacist David is outstanding! He is very caring, and show empathy. He called me about a new prescription, he noticed on the computer I didn't want to take a pacific one which wasn't going well with me. I was in the hospital for a couple of days and forgot a couple of years ago I had asked my Dr. To take me off this prescription , the hospital renewed it for me again, but David remembered me telling him it freaked me out he told me if I still want to take it because I had problems before with it? I just told him I'll take it anyway, low and behold, it did the same thing again! I asked my Dr. To remove me. But David had know idea I had a problem, he called today April 15th to see if everything was ok? I told him no! He suggested to tell my Dr. To cut in half, which i did. I believe this store is withholding products from customers. The website is reporting multiple products of hand sanitizer is available at this particular store. When you go and ask for one they tell you there's none. When you watch the Walgreens website for particularly Alamo Vacaville in-store it said there are 10 to 20 of a couple of brands. I watch the number decrease daily but they still have them in stock. What kind of practice is this? On top of that I'm a nurse unfortunately I can't stay home and I have to take care of this covid 19 and I can't even pick up 1 bottle from this store for my car for my protection and health. By far the absolute worst pharmacy I have been too and I actually went to them for years not just once or twice. If you NEED your medicine to live or for quality of life go anywhere else. You will stand in line for 45 minutes just to be disappointed and leave without your medicine. If you try to call them you will be on hold for 40 just to be disconnected or disappointed. I had surgery recently and needed to refill my pain medication, it has been two weeks and I still don't have it. I changed to Lucky pharmacy 8 years ago but they just closed their doors so everything rolled over to Walgreens automatically, I changed pharmacy's again yesterday. Got my first COVID vaccine here. Appointments well scheduled so that there was almost no wait. Pharmacy tech was very knowledgeable and pleasant; same for the clinician who administered the shot. A big thanks to you both. Store is big, very clean and well organized, follows COVID protocols carefully. You think it's ready to pick up because you got a message from them saying it was? It isn't ready. And they don't know the names of meds. I find that the time of day determines the type of customer service I get. During the day, the employees seem to be focusing more on stock and cleaning than helping customers. Guess the ones that work during the day are shy? In the evenings later at night, the customer service is better. Always clean, can usually find any small items you might need suddenly when everything else is closed or you don't want to drive too far (this location is very close to me compared to driving all the way out to 24hr Walmart in Vacaville, which is about a 10 min drive). read more

Terrible pharmacy. Staff needs immediate training . Additionally, protocol for meds despite having a prescription is Byzantine to say the least . Visiting from San Diego and had my doctor send med request to this pharmacy. The first time I came in they said that they had not received it . I called my doc and their admin staff to verdict they sent it only to be told they had . I came back the next day after waiting in a extremely long line . Their pharmacist told me they weren't able to fill my script unless a "local doctor " prescribed it. Crazy this is the first I heard of this and had to call around to see if this was standard. . It is not Standard. Additionally . They said that my insurance did not cover my meds which was also new to me seeing as every pharmacy that accepts my insurance covers it not to mention it says that they accept TRICARE in big bold letters on a sign that I saw while standing in line. She eventually was able to find my insurance coverage through my Social Security number versus my benefits ID number. I was dental about my prescription already been filled and I would have to pay additional money for this out-of-pocket. It had not been filled. The pharmacist and the pharmacy tech were perplexed to say the least. At odds with the whole experience and had wasted over four hours collectively over the last few days waiting for this medication and standing in line I remembered that I could just pay cash and asked to be reimbursed via my insurance company. I liked it to that method and saw that the cash price was extremely high. I asked if they had any good RX cards to which they're responsible was again met with bewilderment and awe. She quoted the high price again I asked once more only to do my due diligence and Google good RX. Once I did that I was met with a friendlier cash price. I will say though there were other companies on that list that had the medication for a lot more affordable cash price substantially more affordable 50% less actually than what the good RX right price was For Walgreens. As somebody who will probably never come back to this location I highly recommend anybody going to this location and dealing with the pharmacy to either call in advance and or opt not to go to this one at all. I have waited the better part of day multiple times for a prescription to be filled, when they say it will only be an hour. I don't leave reviews often, and try to make sure to do so for positive service experiences. Today, I definitely had to. I tried to pick up a curbside order but the website was malfunctioning. I called to get assistance due to this issue, but apparently calling is a bother. The woman on the line sounded irritated to have to speak to me and asked, "So do you need the pharmacy or a manager?" I didn't need the pharmacy or a manager? I asked that she let ME know who I needed-- it's their store and I don't know their protocol? She just repeated, so do you need a manager? I just said, sure if that's the only option? I had to confirm if it was Walgreens I had reached. I was transferred to a manager and explained the situation, and that I was confused about the irate staff person I was trying to get assistance from. She didn't care and I received the same attitude-- "I'm handling curbside today, what do you need?" My daughter was so confused as why these individuals were being so rude. I have no clue either, but it was disappointing. I understand they must deal with people with nasty attitudes as well, so I'm not sure why they would treat others like this who are just trying to patronize their store. read more

Napa is great. I'm moving and will then NEVER look back and will not ever use Walgreens again. Just this one prescription my doctor and I have spent a lot of time explaining that it was a prescription I was already taking but was increasing-They said they finally understood only to just find out that they are STILL charging. Stopped by on a quick run to Tahoe because one of my friends forgot their polarized sunglasses and they they would not wear anything other than polarized PLUS the outlets were still closed. I am a big fan of Walgreens because they have everything anyone would need, for daily household efforts to requiring a card for a last minute birthday in the office. Need candy? They have it. Sodas and waters for those heading out to the ballgame? And if you forgot your lunch, they actually have a cold section with sandwiches and fruit (mango is usually my go-to). This location is slightly off the beaten path and you have to drive down a bit to get to, but getting back on the freeway was simple enough. read more

While the people at the pharmacy are very nice, it appears that they have an issue with efficiency at this pharmacy. The time it takes them to find your prescription is a bit ridiculous in the year of 2021. The only local pharmacy that is slower than this one would be the one on the local Air Force base. Wally world is much better, but I refuse to go there. Walgreens is my only alternative. As I said, this is not the employees fault, but a corporate or management issue. Two factors influenced my rating: misleading prices and the employees. To get the advertised prices on a lot of items, you have to load coupons onto your walgreens card, so even though the tag says "with card" you still need to find a way to load the coupon. Second, the cashier was not nice at all had me re-enroll in walgreens for I'm not sure what reason. He said that I had not been in their program after he looked me up. Quota? Maybe. No greeting.
