The personnel deal with several different insurance companies, venders, suppliers, manufacturers, very frustrated customers, occasional short staffing, seasonal virus's, and doctor's offices. Like any other business, serving the public is consistently challenging. Imagine if you had to contact each agency/office/doctor yourself. My experience with this location has been nothing short of great. Sure, occasional long lines due to some sonic movement when several folks show up at the same time. First their customer service sucks, their pharmacist (the asian one- only for description purposes, nothing agains asians!) likes to mutter insults under her breath, then when asked about them, won't repeat it or says "I don't want to argue". they (she) shows little interest in resolving any prescription issues. after using this pharmacy for over a year, they still have not been able to sync my prescriptions as requested so I must go in on multiple days. this wasn't a problem for Rite aid. and that's the next rub. their hours - opens at 10 and closes at 6:00pm when exactly are working people supposed to get their meds? and they close for lunch instead of rotating their staff schedule. I have been in there at quarter to six and watched them shut down the line and turn people away who have been standing there for a half hour (because they are sooo slow!) But now they have instigated a computer check in system, rather than just handling the transaction themselves. this causes further delays and slows thing down further. I had to call about a prescription issue and got answers by their "automated assistant" which further frustrated the situation. it wouldn't put me through to the pharmacist and only told me to "leave a message and someone would get back to me in an hour"! as I was leaving town and couldn't wait for a call I doubted I would get, I had to drive down there, only to get dismissed in person! they had plenty of staff but no one wanted to bother answering the phone. they blamed "new corporate procedures"! either way, cooperate or the staff at this CVS doesn't give a rats ass about customer service, or their customers. sadly they are the only game in town. avoid at all cost. don't even bother with the poorly understocked over the counter items, don't spend money with corporations and people who don't believe in customer Service, they don't deserve it.

One compounded product separated from the start. Another was prepared at what appeared to be double the prescribed dose. A third was delivered overheated after being left by a pharmacy employee in a hot car on a hot day for far too long. What made this worse was the response when I raised these issues. I found the customer service dismissive, unprofessional, and not nearly as concerned as I would expect given the nature of the mistakes. I also found their pricing very high compared with other options. Since switching pharmacies, I have had a much better experience at a lower cost. Compounding requires precision, care, and accountability. Based on my experience, I lost confidence in this pharmacy's quality control, product handling, and customer service. I cannot recommend them.

I feel I should update my review because I was in a lot of pain when I wrote the original (though I…read moremaintain that I was in pain on account of Horsnyder's policies.) First, they get a star for being the only locally owned pharmacy near me. There's simply no way I'm going to target or walgreeens, so Horsnyder's is where I'm at, like it or not. I'll give another star because the pharmacist personally intervened in my case and helped make sure I would be able to get my doses on time. I still think this special treatment shouldn't be necessary and recognize it's not the same service others are getting. The thing that really makes me mad is the way they invalidate prescriptions after 1 year with no warning whatsoever. It doesn't matter if your bottle reads "10 of 12 refills remaining," if the prescription is more than a year old they will cancel it and not tell you. When I complained about this, they told me I should track it on my end and simply note when I make my annual doctor visit. I feel a good pharmacy would track that themselves, and warn you that a prescription renewal was imminent so that you don't miss doses. In many ways I feel this is a pharmacy not well set up for sick people. I don't go to the doctor annually; I'm constantly in and out of there. I have 4 prescriptions at Horsnyders that I need to constantly babysit to make sure they don't run out or expire. It still feels like I'm having to put in way too much work to be one of their customers. Please, Horsnyders, figure out how to track when these prescriptions are expiring so that your sick patients are not missing doses.

We were here to buy clothes for a granddaughter, owing to a forgotten suitcase back in Danville. While I was waiting for Gayle and the girls to pick out those items, I wandered over to buy a new razor blade set and specialty mouthwash. After that, I waited patiently and uninspired at Starbucks. Surprisingly, Target didn't carry a number of things that Gayle was looking for, but she managed to make due. Check out was "torture" as the clerk's slow scanning skills and chattiness made it a long process.
