Dumpster Fire! What happened. This Marshall's was great...once. Dirty and unorganized. Stepping over or around products on the floor at least I was most weren't they were just stepping on it or sliding it over with their feet. I refuse to believe that this is the normal for a Marshall's. I've been in so many cleaner and neater ones. Not sure if Marshall's are somewhat independent or fully corporate. This one needs management help from the top down. 10 check outs, 3 open and over 15 customers in line. One closed for a break, leaving 2 ...nice. Last words...help needed. read more

There's a lot to find here. I don't understand why they closed the restroom for a month to visitors, since you'll want to use it when you shop. This has to be like the only MARSHALLS in this coastal area of Santa Cruz and CAPITOLA because everything we frequent this place it's hard to find parking and the line for checkout is long I noted every time. Clean and organized for the most part . Clientele customers are behaved and civilized. For instance and employee helped me with the PIN code for the men's bathroom , small gestures like these definitely you remember and you tend to be loyal to the store afterwards. Like most visits to this discounted apparel store it is hit or miss. Either you find a few things you like or nothing at all. Minus -1 for long line and parking congestion. read more

Probably the worst selection of items. Not to mention the service team always acts like I'm going to steal. Service sucks. Only one cashier open during rush hour. Wish I can give this place zero stars. This specific location is dirty, broken or damaged items everywhere. ALL of the employees look like they don't want to be there nor do they want or even try to help anyone out. The place is an absolute mess! I just had the most unpleasant run in with a young lady named Camila i believe. HORRIBLE customer service. She looked like she rather be anywhere but at work. I stopped coming here because they are always rude. I decided to go only because my daughter wanted to go and i regret it. Even my 10 year old thought she lacked manners. Need to use their restroom? You have to locate a store employee to ask them for a code. The merchandise here is bare bones compared to other locations. Lastly, the line for checkout is longer than a busy Ross and strangers don't know the meaning of personal space. read more

The cashier who helped me with my return was the most unpleasant person... and to top it off she charged my credit card instead of refunding me my money. She failed to give me a receipt and when I called the store for help the person who answered was rude and unhelpful. Now I've been charged twice for items I don't even have. I don't always write reviews about chain stores, but I was inclined to do being the fact that with this pandemic many people feel hesitant to go out to stores. And I was one of them, but I needed a cheese grater! I was not having any luck finding my "special" grater and a few minutes later I was surrounded by great helpers. I was also looking for a skirt. One of sale assistant even asked her co-worker if she had seen the type of skirt I was looking for, and both guided me to the skirt session. Another customer was looking for a calendar and another young lady came to her rescue! The sincere gesture from these 3 ladies for helping others made a huge impression one me. And another nice sales assistant at the cashier was waiting for me. This team is the best for this store and should be rewarded! I went home happy with my cheese grater and my skirt and more! I didn't buy anything but this is a super clean Marshalls with great selection (for athletic clothes at least). Actually Marshalls has a lot of great home items too right now. Clean, fair amount of inventory, lots of shoes. I didn't notice much designer stuff (TJ maxx is better for designer stuff anyway). I have shopped at Marshalls several times. Unfortunately, i got a defective teapot and when i went to return it, they say their policy is to not accept used things as returnable. After this experience, i will never shop there again. Better to use Costco or Ross, so if you find out that the merchandise you got is not a good one, you can always return it. read more

Can you say Dog friendly store, I was so impressed today when I noticed on the front door a sign welcoming any size dogs into the store. they also had a sign telling people not to leave there dogs in the car and how hot it is for them. i have an english bulldog and I will spread the word out about how nice the staff are to dogs. Worse service! Long line, the cashiers left for about 5 minutes. No one at the registers. Then one clerk came back and the other 2 employees we're putting away hangers, clothes....not even making an attempt to address the long, long line of customers waiting. Today went in to shop. Been a Marshals fan for decades. Great finds, etc. so filled the basket and go in a line that had 25 people waiting. Then 30. I called store to ask for more checkers and there were only 2. Girl said in response, that is all we have today. Saw other employees walking around the store (working, of course) and after too long a wait and at least 20 people ahead of this very slow moving line, i left cart to one side and departed the store. God bless Marshall's. They stock their items every day of the week except Saturday and Sundays. Located near Baby's R US, near Dominican Hospital. Interior: Clean and organized. Rarely see things out of place and the scarf rack is always so organized. Bathroom is clean also. Merchandise: Great deals everywhere. I constantly scold myself for buying things on Amazon and then finding them at Marshall's for cheaper. I was really pleasantly surprised to go into this Marshalls. I love the idea of places like Marshall's and Ross, but am frequently turned off by the sheer mess of it. This Marshalls is by far the best one I have been to. I almost died when I saw the GIANT shoe section with good products easily situated into many short rows by type of shoe. They have name brands like Lucky 7s and Polo for clothing. They have Elizabeth Arden face creams and other cosmetic brands you have even heard of. The store was clean and the clientele not a bunch of stroller pushing, non personal space respecting a holes. I was totally amazed how friendly all of the staff was. The dressing room lady teased me about only bringing a few items into the dressing room and made little jokes when I checked out. Everyone seemed pretty jovial to work there and clearly they are doing their job. Checkout was fast and easy and I saw no issues. I had to take away one star because they do not seem to have a petite section or big girl sizes. read more

I hardly go into this store due to the fact my boyfriend and I had some Christmas shopping to do, he went his way I went mine. I saw my boyfriend walking around well this very tall worker fallowed him in each aisle he went through. I called him to meet me at the section that they had the electronics and he continued to fallow him till we went to the line. Worse experience ever especially being fallowed through out the whole store. At least ask if someone needs help don't just assume they are going to steal something just by the way the person looks. read more

This place has been here for awhile. When you walk to the door, you can't help notice the filthy sidewalk. It could use a good power wash. The men's shoes are one huge mess. There once was three-four aisles of men's shoes. Now there is barely one. Shoes are thrown everywhere. Try and find a right shoe that goes with a left one. Needs much work. Marshall's has always been a place that I have shopped and for the most part it's a decent experience. Today I went in to return a charger and I didn't have the receipt so I asked her if I could return it with my ID. She said it was fine. So she went to scan it and the alarm went off. She then asked me if I had actually bought it. She accused me of stealing. She then went to her supervisor to ask. Even the guy next to her was like good catch. The day I had bought the item the alarm had gone off when I asked them if I was okay to go they said yes. It is incredibly rude to accuse someone of stealing something. I've been to a lot of Marshall's from Georgia to Texas to California. This is the most organized Marshall's I've come across. It's also the first dog friendly Marshall's I've visited. Kudos to the management for doing such a spectacular job at running this establishment. read more

Between Audrey and Jeromy (spelling?) I found a bathmat set which goes very well with my unique decor. They went out of their way, given there is no Home Goods in our area, to make a comparable exchange. I'm sure I also need to appreciate their supervisor they checked with. I couldn't have done it without this team. I had looked and not seen what Jeromy found. And Audrey had a way of making me feel comfortable even though I knew there were customers waiting to checkout while we asked about the return. I have shopped at TJ Maxx, Home Goods, and Marshalls a ton the last six months, this was the best checkout experience. We were on point and it was surprising to hear it was her first week. Thank you for your personal touch, helping me complete a process in a store with randomized inventory I may have never completed. Another visit the manager whose name I don't recall, was a stellar person to offer me a store credit in a similar scenario, not the bath area, the living room and kitchen, when the card purchased with wasn't on me. Why does that matter? They don't have to generate a return when it's Home Goods, not necessarily offering the same products. Thank you for saving me a 45 minute drive. I really like this store because it's ultra clean, great customer service, and cheap finds! I've bought slim ties from Express, Michael Kors, and others for $3-$7 bucks! Other awesome stuff I've gotten there are Hilfiger shoes, moroccon oil lotions, t-shirts and cologne sets. Even though the store may not have as much to offer as other stores the prices and staff are awesome. The only thing is they don't have sample fragrances...so know how the perfume/cologne smells before buying it. :D read more
