This was the 5th shoes store that I went today (Covid -19 edition) and I'm proud to say I walked out with a dope pair of Vans classic checkered slip-on for $50!!! I knew what I was looking for, this was not my first time coming here, the store always has what I want. It's tough to find size 11 in Vans. This place comes through everytime. They have pretty original stuff, even though the brands are common the styles are legit. I love Vans they are my go to for customizing and looking fresh. Although I must admit I am not a skater by any means, nor do I claim to be. I am a fan of their classic slip-on checkered shoes. They are comfortable, stylish and go with anything. The store is great and has so much to offer. They are always fully stocked. Only once I had to order something online because the product I wanted wasn't available in the store. The staff is always on top of their game. Today Jose helped me out, even though he was helping someone else he knew how to multi-task. He saw me looking at the shoes and asked me if I needed help. I held up a pair of classics and told him what size I needed, BOOM! WARP SPEED! He went to the back and in a matter of seconds, he came back with my shoes. He quickly rang me up at the register and although he was busy, I didn't have to wait long. Thank you, this is the BEST Vans store and I'm glad I live close by. Keep up the great work! Dylan j is the worst . Walked into cans and was greeted by Dylan. He smelt like weed and alcohol. Dylan was completely stoned when he came up to us and asked if we needed help twenty minutes later. His eyes were completely red and the whole store smelt like marijuana. When we walked in Dylan was just talking about tattoos and completely ignoring us. They were talking about a party and how bad Dylan's tattoos are . Dylan was high. I over heard he said he smoked a joint on break and got too high. He told us if we slip him $50 we can just walk out of the store. I couldn't believe Dylan was not helpful and this cans store used to be really good . The staff is really bad and they all have horrible tattoos and smoke weed and the whole store smelt like marijuana. Obviously ran by immature children with no customer service skills. I left the cans store in capitola and never looked back. read more

I take my little nephew to this store all the time!! I absolutely love it. Everyone is sooooo effing friendly. You can assume the employees don't love working in the retail business, i mean, who does. But they definitely don't let it affect their attitude. And I appreciate that. On another note...I will say that the last time I walked in to browse, this girl behind the counter just stared at me. She wasn't smiling - she was literally just looking at me. It was pretty awkward. I assumed she worked there but I didn't see a name tag. Finally she barked out "Can I help you?" I just replied that I was browsing - is that how she treats all her customers? Geez. Then she turned her back on me towards another employee - a younger kid - and I heard her scolding him loudly...I didn't think it was appropriate since the store was so quiet and they were standing right there near me. I was already awkward as hell. I didn't even take time to look around the store, I just left. I really hope that she isn't part of their management team because I love the shoes, but she alone makes me want to avoid the store completely. read more

David Burger helped us so much. They didn't have the size that we needed in the store so he went online to help us find it and even was able to have it shipped to the house. I bought a pair of shoes online and was sent the wrong size. I took them to the Capitola, CA store for replacement and was subjected to the most unprofessional "customer service" from a young "manager" I have ever experienced. After almost five minutes of arguing, he finally decided to approve my refund, slapped it down in front of me and walked away. Needless to say, I was hot! It took all of my will to contain myself. He will never know how close I came to breaking his little face in front of his co-workers. I will NEVER return to this Vans store because of this. These people need to revamp their training program and think again before promoting some snot-nosed kid to the role of manager. What a joke! read more

First off I understand when it's busy being a little overwhelmed but the staff of this vans store was so less than friendly. My husband and I were looking for shoes for him, which is very difficult cause he's extremely picky, and the shoe saleswoman was rude, short, and was just overall very annoying to deal with. So much so that we ended up leaving and ordering the shoes he liked online as to not deal with her anymore. I'd happily change my review after a good experience but for now it's a solid 2 for being out of 90% of the shoes on display and having awful customer service read more

There was a slender somewhat tall sales man helping me last time I was in. This guy was AWESOME!!!!! He helped me with my kids shoes and when I couldn't find the right pair for my boyfriiend he suggested another pair and offered to take down my info and call the outlets to look for the pair I had originally wanted. Terrible store, I would not reccomend it to Anyone. I walked around the mall after buying a pair of shoes to see how they fit. The fit a little tight so I proceeded to buy the next size up and they wouldn't allow me to exchange them. The customer service was unhelpful and very rude. I haven't experienced such unhelpful customer service trying on shoes. Thumbs down. I'll never go back that store. read more

I love Vans. I've been wearing them since i was a kid and now they are the only shoes my kids will wear, what a trip. This vans store is awesome. Everyone is so friendly and super helpful. I was just in there last week and I was getting shoes for my two daughters and they were so busy. We weren't sure what size they needed, but that didnt stop the lovely employees from helping us out. They measured both of their feet and went back a forth about ten times before they decided on shoes they wanted. They even showed us some new backpacks they had and we got those too. My experience in this store is always great and they really made back to school shopping a breeze this year. read more
