This store alone is purely the sole reason I stopped shopping at Walgreens and am a devoted cvs customer. The people who work here (mostly management or upper level employees) are very rude and must suspect every young customer who comes in for their beauty department is trying to shoplift. Not once not twice but THREE times I've been followed around and constantly asked about every 5 min if I need help. I've worked in retail all my adult life, both my parents worked and own their own retail clothing stores so I'm very familiar with the "following a customer around and keep bugging them when suspected shop lifting routine". Which of course I didn't. My toddler wanted me to open up a peppa pig toy before check out. As long as I have the box with the barcode knowing I'm for sure purchasing it I don't see the big deal. Felt like the manager just wanted to pick an argument. But there's one particular employee who is responsible for my never returning there. A middle aged African American woman, straight black hair always in a pony tail. I'm sorry I do not recall her name. BUT this lady seem to have it out for me I swear. Even my husband who probably thought I was exaggerating eventually saw for himself the last time I finally spoke with a manager regarding her demeanor towards me. First experience w/ her I was just wanting to exchange out a foundation that didn't match my skin, not even wanting my $ back just a simple exchange. The foundation was bought from the Walgreens on abercorn... but since I live right by the Berwick one didn't think it would be a big deal to exchange it at that location since knowing as long as it's the same retail chain people do this all the time. Well miss sassy pants didn't want to exchange it since it was from another location. Was refusing to do it and told me "why don't u just drive to the abercorn Walgreens." Finally got a manager to help me. Then as I'm shopping I hear her on the next aisle literally talking about me and calling me a stuck up B**** and basically admitted to whoever she was talking to that she just didn't feel like doing the exchange for me? For Reasons I dk. I stayed away for a good while then decided to give another chance. Well here we go again. I needed assistance at the perfume counter to get a $10 white diamonds body lotion... ten dollars.. would be different if I was actually getting perfume. She refused to wait on me and said she wouldn't give it to me until I was done checking out. There was only one left so I asked could she please hold it until I'm finished shopping then. Got no response so I assumed she heard since she was looking at me. Went to go check out, she claimed I asked for the body powder not lotion. Ok why does it matter? I'm asking for the lotion now so why couldn't she just ring up what I had asked for to begin with. She literally sat there arguing with me for over 2 mins that I said powder not lotion. I saw how she acts with other customers and she was as nice as she could be. Her attitude changed the moment it was my turn to checkout. Sorry for the story book review but this woman has no right treating customers with this kind of disrespect not to mention the managers are pretty useless as well. This location has a huge overturn and can't seem to keep decent employees around. The younger cashiers at the front are always nice and were ever the only ones who treated me decently. read more
