I'm behind on reviews but today I had to come check in! I went to the deli and got a sandwich and I'm so picky that it makes no sense. My cheese always has to be cut because I get havarti, I'm particular about my meat, my bread has to be felt, sauces on the side, particular number of certain ingredients and cut a certain way.... Like I'm extra. Dee, she is one of the best employees I've interacted with at almost any Publix from here to Florida (her coworker, a younger guy with a lot of hair working 11/18/2024 4pm ish was exceptional as well) was over and beyond on her customer service, very customer driven, kept a smile and never made me feel like my request was too much!!! I also watched her interact with other customers, she's 100% across the board. Dee, you represent everything that Publix stands for. Continue to be GREAT!!! read more

If i can give it 0 stars i would i mean i on my lunch break i got 30 mins avoid the public on Abercorn st in Savannah ga they suck beyond belief the lady didn't change gloves when making peoples subs anytime you rip open a package with your sub making gloves you have contaminated a person subs for future reference. Yeah so anyway did i mention on how during lunch time they only have one person making subs and the other sub maker is making subs for online orders which slows down the instore sub maker. Moral of this review hire 2 people to do the substation for lunch time until then they are horrible read more

Amazing store! Went here from my hotel across the street to grab something for lunch. Their selection of pre made salads and sandwiches was amazing! So is the hot food bar, and deli/grill. I come to Savannah several times a year. It was my first time staying on this end of town. Definitely will be making this area my go to stay because of the convenience of Public and other area amenities the historic downtown area do not offer. read more

Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities that Publix opens a location in are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location and I give it five stars. read more

I was in line behind a person who was having a pricing issue. I had 4 small items. There was a person behind me that had 5 items. The cashier that was next to the line that I was standing in, bypasses me and starts to help the person behind me! I told him that that guys was BEHIND me and his flimsy response was, "You were next in line." I know that I was next in line...that's why I expected to be helped NEXT. I then said again, "that guy was BEHIND me" and he sarcastically responded, "yes, BEHIND you." Never have I received such bad service from Publix. This store is held to the gold standard for grocery shopping, but if THIS is the type of employees you are now hiring, then I will take my business elsewhere. The manager on hand, apologized and said that she would talk to him about it. I told her that I wanted an apology from him. She would not comply. This was a tall African American male, low haircut, late teens maybe, with an earring. He is NOT the standard that I am used to and neither was the manager on hand. I love Publix's selection of prepared soups like Blounts Clam Shack, fresh fish and seafood, meats, and vegetables. I love the bags of fresh watercress and Skyr Yougurt. I wish you carried micro greens. All the stores in Savannah are very clean and the staff are well trained in customer service. Publix is my All around favorite grocery store. read more

My wife has been using this pharmacy since she moved here nearly a decade ago and hasn't had any issues until today, 12/5/2019. Dr. Anthony Casedonte refused to fill new, necessary, and lifesaving prescriptions for her unless she refilled every prescription in her file. She told him she only needed the new prescriptions, not any of the prior ones, and asked why that was a problem. Dr. Casedonte said, "I will not lose my license over you" and told her to find another pharmacy. Dr. Casedonte's supervisor, Maria Lam, stood by his actions and did not apologize. Needless to say, we will no longer be shopping at this Publix. No pharmacist should be able to refuse to do their job. read more

I am giving Publix a four strictly based on their deli and hot food. Would you shop at Publix sometimes but I would say of all the grocery stores in the area it is the most expensive. As for Publix deli they make sandwiches and they are by far the best sandwiches. We also like the chicken wings from the hot food section and we've had pretty good mac & cheese and potato wedges there as well. One of our favorite deli sandwiches is the chicken tender sandwich or the ultimate sandwich both sandwiches cost around $9 or $10 dollars depending how do you like them and can usually feed two people we always wanted up getting two or three sandwiches it's getting there between the three of us depending how hungry everyone is. Most of the time the staff is very helpful and we're in and out fairly quickly the multi grain bread is so delicious and there are many sandwich options to choose from. read more

I wouldn't recommend this Publix to anyone, the customer service was terrible. We waited to get some balloons filled and an employee greeted us, and said he would be right back to help us. He never came back. But our bakery experience was the cherry on top. I ordered a small cake for my elopement online weeks prior to the pick up date. I called way in advance to change the cake colors. When we arrived to pick up, they had 2 cakes for us. Because they didn't cancel the other cake. And both of the cakes looked terrible. The cursive handwriting was not legible and was crooked, the trim was so uneven. I don't know how this was acceptable to sale!! and they refused to touch up the cake. They said it was as is. I love coming to this Publix location. I never have to worry about checking dates for expiration. I love coming and finding BoGos and great deals on items I love. The fresh departments are absolutely incredible, the best. I am never satisfied shopping at any other grocery store because I know Publix is above and beyond any other store. On top of the actual store being amazing, the employees are always helpful and willing to answer questions. The pharmacy at this location is amazing, as well. Always costs more, but I can find the products (gluten free, Asian, fresh fish, Kosher, etc.) and the quality is always top shelf. And plenty of support staff to ask questions. They keep the shelves clean and stocked with food selections that aren't close to their expiration. Their Greenwise brand is a cost saver and very helpful. The deli here is absolutely awful and I'm a huge Publix fan overall. If you order a sub to be picked up, prepare to stand in line anyway. I order a sub a little after 11 and my pickup time was 11:40. Got there at 11:38 and they had not even started and there were 15 ppl in line waiting to place an order so I simply left along with the 12$ I paid when ordering online. I'm not one to bellyache but this is probably the 5th or so time I have had the exact same occurrence. Spoke with manager and wasn't very nice! Once again another bad review of this Publix's deli you can tell by the amount of one star reviews the deli receives the management there really cares. If your looking to get a publix sub I hope your ready to wait an hour if you order online add 3 more. AND YOUR ORDER WILL STILL BE WRONG. Lazy employees, especially Josias whom made it clear they don't care about their customers. I arrived at 1001pm after just getting off work, while there was still people at the registers checking out. I told him I needed one item Matoz for my family's observation of Passover. He exclaimed he didn't care that he needed make sure that the cleaned off the registers and that he couldn't accommodate me getting the one item I needed 30 ft from him. When I told him this was very important to my family and we had to have it to observe Passover he said sorry we close at 10 and when asked if he cared about my feeling as customer he said again "we close at 10 and that's all I care about". I love this store! They keep the shelves clean and stocked with non-expiring foods. They have a nice produce section with a variety of cut up fruits in varying container sizes so you can shop for 1 or the family. Their deli area makes the bomb sandwiches and subs or you can get meats and cheeses by the pound. Their fresh baked breads and and bagels are yummy. Not so much a fan of their cupcakes though. Also not a fan of their fresh seafood section. It's small and they seem to favor farm-raised vs. fresh caught. Their frozen seafood section has a better variety of items though. Their Greenwise brand is great. They have a nice selection of Gluten-free items and Kosher items. The staff that I've encountered were all nice and helpful. It's always a pleasant shopping experience for me here. read more

This place is wonderful. Reasonable prices, a good location, and super friendly staff. Every time I come in here they treat me like a princess!!! Store was clean. The associates were stocking shelves and asking if they could assist with our shopping, which was greatly appreciated. All associates were friendly and helpful. The selections were great and we had no problems finding what we were shopping for. At checkout the cashier gave my granddaughter a balloon which made her very happy. We came from out of town and had plans to cook for the weekend. We went into the Publix to do normal shopping. When we went to the meat department to pick up meat, we only saw one package but needed a second one. We were able to talk to one of the meat handlers. We told them what we needed. They said that they were cleaning the machines, but if we give them ten minutes they can go and get some meat cut for us. We finished our shopping and came back and picked up the meat. It was a nice and clean store and as always the Publix employees were kind and helpful. read more

Everything except the deli is great. You're better off making the drive to Pooler for anything deli related. Will probably take the same amount of time.
