This is a typical Publix. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out of. The aisles were clean and clear and easy to move through. They weren't restocking like some stores do during the day which makes it hard to shop The produce selection was well organized. We visited for pub subs. The deli was a little slow. The guy making the sandwiches probably needed some help. He never cleaned his work area or his knife. The sandwiches tasted good even though I'm not sure he put as much cheese as is supposed to go on a cheese sandwich. The prices for sandwiches is still reasonable, esp if you order a whole sandwich. . read more

When I am on vacation, I always shop at Publix. The stores are always clean and well stocked. On June 3, 2023, I encountered my first dirty floor in a Publix. It was limited to aisle six and the employees were busy cleaning the store. I only wish we had a Publix in WV. read more

COMPLETELY RACIST!!!!!! My husband and I were there in at 9:30am to get some food from the hot bar while the hurricane was here. We asked Frances if we could order some chicken. She said we would have to come back at 10am we said no problem. A Caucasian gentleman walked up after we walked away and we say him ask for chicken and she gave him two boxes. We then turned around and asked if we could place an order and Jeanne replied " What do you want" with an attitude. We then asked if we could get some chicken and she raised her voice at us then said " what chicken do you want"? Then we asked what kind they offered she rolled her eyes then proceeded to talk about us with Frances in our faces!!!!! We walked to the front and Patrick checked us out he had an attitude and didn't even speak to us. So we asked for a manager and the manager Leah was behind him as soon as she saw we needed help with something she had an attitude and replied " unn uhhh we don't have a manager available today". Just as she said the another manager "Keturah " came and she just looked shocked "Keturah asked for our concerns and listened to us and apologized for everyone's behavior I have never in my life experienced anything like this from publix!!!! I've been a Publix shopper for decades, having lived for many years in Miami before moving to Savannah last year. But I think that I am done with them now, or at least the one on Wilmington Island, after the ridiculous conversation with a manager I just had there. In walking up an aisle, I noticed that there were red clearance signs in front of all the Pure Protein brand protein shakes. The regular price for a four-pack is normally $8.99 and the sign in front of the chocolate flaver read "clearance $3.59 save $5.40." However, the signs in front of the other flavors read "clearance $8.99." When I brought this to the manager's attention, he said in a condescending tone that "clearance" did not mean that the items were on sale, only that they were wanting "to clear the shelf" of that item. I then stated that that was misleading, and not 1 shopper out of 100 would think that is what the sign meant. They would assume that an item on clearance meant that the item was also marked at a sale price. He just shrugged his shoulders and gave me an IDGAF look. I think his attitude pissed me off even more than their obvious intent to deceive shoppers. read more

I shop and deliver groceries for a living. I had a huge order which required 2 buggies. I asked the manager if I could leave one up front while I used the other buggy to shop the rest of the order. Not only did she let me, she rang up that part of the order and had it bagged and waiting for me. All I had to do was get the second part of the order rang up and I was done. It's a popular one though so sometimes the lines are more like Walmart:( My last visit amused me as the cashier forgot to provide me with the stamps I purchased and as he got them I was distracted for a second. Backstory: I went to publix for my flu shot and received a $10 gift card. Today: went to use gift card and when paying it said 0. They asked me to go to customer service where Shelly was asked to help. She asked when I received the flu shot, and I said I'm not sure maybe a month or two ago. I asked if it expired, and she said no it doesn't. She went to the pharmacy and came back to tell me she can't do anything and could only help if I bring my flu shot record back (no I was not going to drive to Eisenhower to get a record, waste gas, to get a 10 dollar gift card). I told her this is not my fault, she took my drivers license and checked with the pharmacy. She made it a point 3 times to let me know my flu shot was in October. Again I asked if there is an expiration date and she said no. I asked why is October important. She made me feel very uncomfortable and as if I was purposefully causing a problem. For publix to think highly of their customer service standards they should start with Publix on Wilmington Island, specifically Shelly. I will definitely shop at the highway 80 store today going forward. read more

Your typical Publix in Savannah--well stocked, clean and locals working inside. The locals in Savannah are some of the warmest people you'll find in America. At the checkout, the service is slow, but with that slowness comes conversation and well wishes. When slow service comes this way, I don't mind at all. read more

This is a clean, well maintained store for the most part. The shelves are well stocked. They have a decent selection of organic options in each section. Dairy section is well maintained and items fresh. They also have some of the freshest cut fruit! My main gripe with this store is that they let certain items sit in produce way too close to expiration so it takes a couple trips when shopping for the week to get my organic salad greens and pre-cut onions or pepper mix pkgs that will last more than a couple days. I don't want to have to go elsewhere or make multiple trips for produce that will last more than a day or two. They have very personable and helpful staff which usually make each visit a pleasant one. This helps to overlook the produce shortcomings and keeps me coming here. Great store. Always clean and the shelves stocked. Anytime I can't find something there is someone there to help me. I'm in there 2 or 3 times a week and I love finding new items to try. Their prices are competitive. I make up a list every week after the sale paper comes out. Usually I make the list online at their website. By using the website, my list is in the order of the aisles in the store I use. They have friendly people in every department, but my favorite is the Meat Department. The meat department employees are fantastic. I ask them a lot of questions about how to cook different meats or what would be a new type of way to prepare something. They always welcome me and my questions, and give good answers. I can tell them how many people I'm feeding and they will help me figure out how much to buy. They are also quick to point me to good sales on products I've bought in the past. read more

First I must say the staff here is the friendliest and most helpful of any supermarket staff I've ever encountered. They can't do enough for you! Also, the bakery is fantastic. They have the most incredible black and white cookies I've ever had & that is a huge statement from me- I love black and white cookies and I grew up in NYC where these are a bakery staple. Other positives are the deli and the selection of ethnic foods. That being said I do not see myself doing my regular grocery shopping here. The produce is overpriced considering how quickly it turns. I've bought various fruits and veggies here that have gone bad within 48 hours. I understand that fresh food needs to be consumed quickly, but I feel like I never get the chance to eat my produce before it goes bad. Things here are overpriced in general I feel like and their name brand stuff is not that great. Also, the supermarket up the road has a bar now and I'm sorry but you can't beat that in my book! I will definitely be back for the bakery on the regular though so I can't completely turn my back on the local Publix. read more

I love publix and their deli!!! But this is by far the worst publix deli I have ever been to. I asked for a whole Philly on white. First let me say I felt like I was forcing them to do their job! When she fired up the grill to fry up the veggies and meat, they put a piece of foil down so it didn't dirty the grill, mind you this was noon on a Saturday so the grill was not cleaned for the night and even if it was, cooking this sandwich on foil takes away the taste. HORRIBLE! This is the second problem I have had at this deli! I will NOT visit this publix again even tho it is the closer one to us! read more

I love this Publix. Well, at one time the General manager many years ago was just God awful. The staff would be talking on their cellphones and wouldn't even acknowledge you - so unlike Publix. I vowed not to ever come back to that place. I've started coming back within the last year or so, since a friend started working there and bragged about how it was a great store to work at. But since I've come back, it has become so much better. Management truly does make a difference.The employees seem really happy there. Well, there is one person, a dark haired gentleman in the produce section, perhaps late twenties, early thirties. He doesn't speak and has a major chip on his shoulder. Very unfriendly. He doesn't ask you if he can assist you either like the other employees in his dept. He's the only one there that does this. He must have been left over from the other deplorable management of the past. Well there is always one or two like that everywhere. He would fit in better at Wal-Mart. Other than that I have no gripes. It's nice to shop at a place where the customer is truly valued. Thank you Publix! read more
