This review is specifically for the passport photo service that utilizes the store's free app. My wife had two very unflattering passport photos taken, first at AAA (at no charge, for a set of two) and second at Costco (for $5, for a set of two). We certainly can't complain about the "price" we were given at AAA but the photo was god awful. The set-up there violates various basic rules of portrait photography, such as a bright white background that underexposes the subject's face. Costco was a little better but not by much, although the young man who took the photo was very nice and took a second photo, at my wife's request, after she didn't like the way the image of the first looked on the camera. Some online research revealed that the best way to get a more flattering passport photo is by downloading a free app and taking the photo yourself, sending the one you're satisfied with to the establishment behind the app. We used Walgreens, whose app was free and easy to download, as well as to use. After you take a photo, the app will tell you whether it violates any guidelines for passport purposes, although it's not foolproof. In our case, when we showed up at Walgreens to pick up the photos, we were informed of an issue that the app didn't catch. In fairness to them, an employee at the photo department had immediately called and left a message about the problem. We just failed to notice the voice mail. The employee was very pleasant and helpful, offering to take the photo there at the store if we wanted. We chose to return home to take our own photo. After submitting it via the app for printing, we called the photo department to make sure that there were no issues this time. We were told there were not and they would do the prints for us in three minutes. The photos were ready as promised and looked quite good. A new employee had taken over the shift and was also polite and prompt. She recognized my wife from the photo and brought the envelope out without our even having to ask for it. The two photos cost $15 before tax, not as inexpensive as AAA or Costco but who wants to be stuck with an ugly photo on a passport for ten years or whatever, if you can help it? For us, it was well worth the price and our experience at the store couldn't have been better. TIP: If you are willing to invest a few minutes in familiarizing yourself with the settings available on the app, you can make some adjustments (in terms of brightness, for example) that might give you even better results. We got good results without figuring out how to make use of the settings. read more

I am at a loss of words for the lack of multi taking that takes place in this pharmacy. Continuing to take people walking up to the line at your register, while you have people already waiting for an hour to pick up a prescription is only going to keep a larger amount of people waiting a longer period of time. I'd give this location zero stars if I could. Poorly managed pharmacy that's incapable of handling the demand they receive. I always wait in a long line here. Some staff are friendly but that doesn't make up for how poorly managed the location is. I will be going elsewhere. Apparently California law says I can't decline a consultation with the pharmacist for a new prescription without the pharmacist being present. Conveniently, the pharmacist went on break as it was my turn in line. So far he is 10 minutes late to return from his break. This is beyond aggravating. The worst Phamacy for sure. Came to this walgreen in the morning, They do not have the medication and refuse to help me call CVS which I already told them I called CVS they have the medication, not willing to change my medication I needed urgently today to CVS, they also can not see other Walgreens location medication availability, I have to call each Walgreens my self with no one ever pick up the call. They never pick the call, CVS pharmacist was on the line to help me call Walgreens for several hours and no one pick up, I drove to the location again in the afternoon, no phone is ringing, which means they just keep the line buys by default, no wonder I tried to call earlier to check the status of the medication, no one pick up. Evil Walgreens... the Asian male pharmacist received the fax from CVS and intentionally said he will not file the medication until later of afternoon when the CVS close. I told the pharmacist I need the medication as doctor said today but he just does not care and feel annoyed , he has the power to transfer my medication and insist not fax back my medication to CVS until later afternoon same time when CVS close with really bad attitude. He did this internally not give me the medication. I have been wait in the store and beg him just simply fax back the files , he was so rude to me, I asked for name and he not willing to give me his name and went to lunch just let me wait for several hours and will not help transfer my medication to CVS. This pharmacist just use his power to not give me medication. They are make patents suffering. When I was waiting in the long line talked with other parent have similar issue. Awful experience! They were so rude! So unprofessional! It is 24/7 pharmacy, and just for 1 pill they advised me to go to an emergency room and have a doc prescribe an emergency pill since the one I needed was a prescription and they were too busy to refill a single pill for me!!!! This store is horrible! They were really rude when Lucky transferred my prescriptions to them. I quickly changed my mind about that. Now they are letting people make evening COVID booster appointments online and then not staffing for them. I had an appointment, had pre-filled out my paperwork, waited in vain at the COVID door for someone to make an appearance and was unceremoniously sent away and didn't even garner an apology from their un-helpful employee who I was finally able to pin down. Garbage store and garbage staff. I went to the emergency room this morning for Afib heart. They discharged me at 1 pm and sent the prescription for my metoprolol to Walgreens on snell and blossom hill. I must take it before midnight to avoid strokes. Received a phone call from the Walgreens that my medication is ready for pick at around 4:30 pm. Went there waited in drive through for 30 minutes talked to a very rude lady saying we have 200 order needs to be RE filled before yours. I told her that mine should be ready and I got the call from you guys saying it's ready for pickup. She got out of control and I asked for here manager Tran something And no surprise he was worst but with 110 less. He said I have 90 order to refill before yours. Extremely stupid store and service. The worst Pharmacy "drive-thru" service encountered. Arrived at 8am on a Sunday morning, no cars waiting at the drive thru window, so I thought "Lucky Me"! Three rings of their alert button, three responses of "We'll be right with you" and 20+ minutes LATER, I still had no service! Even after telling the invisible person behind the speaker (on the third buzz), that I had been waiting for almost 15 minutes and was just wanting to pick up a couple prescriptions, no service! Needless to say, I finally drove away without my scripts. To Add: It wasn't even busy inside the Pharmacy area. We went there for a passport photo. They have a horrible service. First, a guy took the camera and told us to wait. He tried to look like he was busy. 10 min later, he gave the camera to a lady, told her the manager called him and he left without telling us. The lady started to look like she was busy. She seemed that she did not know what she was doing and told us to wait. At the end, we waited for a while and noticed they did not know what they were doing, so we left. Ugh, no. Just no. Avoid this Walgreens at all cost. The only redeeming factor is the 24 hour pharmacy hours for middle of the night emergencies and the drive u pharmacy for convenience factor. Besides that, this store is severely lacking. I came in to get some Carmex lip treatment. Pretty basic request, amirite??!! Apparently not. The whole store was so picked over. In the entire "lip care" section, they literally had 2 packs of abreva left and the only carmex left on the shelf was a multi-pack, but I just wanted 1. Every tube of Chapstick, Burts bees, etc was totally gone. No choices of any kind available. Also wanted to get sunglasses and a car phone charger, but stroke out there too. Inventory extremely limited and way overpriced. Ended up crossing the street to go to the Dollar tree and got Everything I was looking for, exactly what I needed, for an absolute fraction of the cost of Walgreens. This pharmacy has our utmost loyalty after the manager Edgar went the extra mile for us tonight. Our toddler has had an ear infection, and had been struggling with a fever of 104-105. The pharmacy has been backlogged and hadn't filled the prescription for hours. I called the store and was connected to Edgar, who went back to the pharmacy and got us the meds we needed. This Walgreens somehow always disappoints. The store I guess is somewhat OK, but the pharmacy needs help. There's always a mistake or discrepancy or delay. The most recent incident that caused this review is when They misspelled the vaccine card for my daughter and entered it incorrectly into the digital records(even after pointing it out). It was such a hassle to get it corrected when all they had to do was fix it when it was first pointed out to them immediately rather than brushing an 18 year old off saying "we can fix it next time you come". Next time she went they made her wait forever to speak to someone regarding it and then told her to request a change through the California digital records portal and refused to update her physical card until that was done. Long story short, we did, went back requesting a new card so she can present for her university records, and the lady entered the lot numbers for the vaccine incorrect! I used this pharmacy from November through April and had nothing but trouble. EVERY month I would go in for my refill and have to explain to them how to submit my prescription to insurance. I cannot submit for a refill until 30 days so I ended up getting my prescription 4 to 5 days late every month. When I try to explain to one pharmacist what was going on he was very rude, I finally got fed up and switch to the Walgreens on Kooser. They were much more helpful and much more polite. Horrible experiences! They just hang up on you when you call. I called the store and asked the automated voice for the pharmacy. After being on hold for about 10 minutes, a recording came on and said "To rate this call, please press 1. Or you can just hang up now." I needed to speak to the pharmacy to get medication so I stayed on the phone. The recording repeated itself and then said something like "disconnecting now" and then hung up on me. I called several more times and the same thing happened. My doctor sent a prescription there, but I can't even find out if they have my medicine because they keep hanging up on me.
