This 5-star rating is for Mike and Darryl in the photo dept. I was there this past Friday night for TWO hours. This was my first time printing large poster boards and was super nervous about making a mistake. I had a really important business event Saturday morning and wanted everything perfect, of course. I decided to come into the store and place my order online while there, just in case I had any problems during the process. Not only were Mike and Darryl patient, but they were personable, helpful, and funny. At any point they could have gotten frustrated with all my questions, and being there for so long. But they weren't. AND they were super busy with other orders. They make a great team and I appreciate everything they did for me. I will come back here for printing my boards! read more

This is Walgreens Store #3445, located at the corner of South White Rd & Quimby in San Jose. I stopped by here on a Monday evening (6pm) to get some hair care products. This is a medium sized store, with a drive-thru Pharmacy. The main entry is on the front corner, with checkouts on the right as you enter. The store appears to have the usual depts, including photo and grocery. I didn't see any "ready to go" foods. As I walked thru the cosmetics aisles, I asked a stocker where the hair gels would be. She told me exactly where they were, and they weren't locked up. Now, the part I hate about Walgreens....the checkout. Okay, one cash register is open, and someone is paying for a Western Union Transfer. She's asking a ton of questions, and the cashier is trying to answer them all. I continue to wait as another customer asked about the alcohol strength % in some rubbing alcohol. It's amazing how the cashier knows everything. So I finally pay cash for my purchase and leave. Smooth transaction. If I needed something, I would come here again. ---------------------------------------------------------- How do I know so much about Walgreens? Very bad service I've had many bad experiences. it takes too long to prepare--even when I urgently need it for my health. I've come multiple times expecting my medicine to be ready, but I still leave without it. It makes me feel very upset, frustrated, and even angry, because I depend on this medication. The service feels disorganized, and it's hard to trust that my prescriptions will be ready when I need them. read more

Thanks to the astoundingly clueless supervisor who worked at this store for wasting my time! arguing with me, and melting my ice cream. When I tried to use my $5 credit (from a previous purchase), the cashier could not bring it up so he sent me to his boss who worked at the photo booth. She told me; "You don't understand, this is for credit points only!!!" It was hilarious since the coupon stated a $5 cash reward for the next purchase of $20 more. I tried to buy 4 boxes of ice cream for $20. The cashier finally came over and explained to her how to do it. He should be her boss, not the other way around. I'm not sure how she got her job here as a supervisor when she had no idea of running or understanding how things work in her own store. passport pictures This location offers passport pictures which is great because apparently all Walgreens should? but some don't have the camera to. You'll have to at least get 2 pictures for $16 almost $17. Not too bad? The Filipino lady who took our picture was super nice and helped us take our pictures. Went to this pharmacy to cancel a refill prescription on 3/24/2022 at around 4:30pm. The lady with the brown permed hair and attitude told me that she would cancel it. Turns out she didn't. Went to Costco 3 days later to order the refill, but it was still tied up in Walgreens. Only way I was able to resolve it is through Walgreen online chat. Such Rude Pharmacy staff!!! I had to get a prescription filled for my 10 year old son who had a ear infection.This was the 1st time getting one filled for my son their. So they where having a problem and saying that no I couldn't get it filled their that a had to return to Kaiser to get it filled. I always take a hand written prescription out of kaiser that's just the way it is with my insurance.I told them "no I know for a fact I can get it filled here my husband has gotten his filled here and we are all on the same plan"They just totally ignored me and kept working I said "hello can someone answer me"and the woman said "we are busy " and the pharmacy manager Victor I believe his name was said I checked and you can't get it filled here you have to to back to kaiser. You would think a drive-thru pharmacy would be convenient... HELL NO! They're slow as hell! Almost every time I go here to pick up a prescription, I find myself waiting at least 45 minutes behind ONE FECKIN CAR! EVERY SINGLE TIME! I DO NOT recommend! Very bad customer service, specially on the pharmacy. Yesterday 12/10/24 around 7:15pm., my parents had a very bad experience. The Asian lady (without name tag) made it a very difficult for my mom to pick up a prescription. She identified my mom then made her wait for 30min and after identified her again them asked my mom to enter a phone number on the screen but after 3times my mom entered it, she keep erasing and saying that the number did not matched on the records. Apparently the number on Walgreens system had a different number than my mom actually phone number. We don't have any idea how the system had a number completely wrong. The point it's that she did not had patience asking x correct phone number and she has a very unpleasant voice and attitude to my parents. At this point, my mom decided to leave without her medication because of her. When my parents got Home I got so disappointed with this situation. I went to the pharmacy to let the manager know about how rude this lady was. I was so upset and raise my voice because this situation should Never happened and my mom needed medication. Manager ended out proving me the medication but he pointed out it was a language barrier between them.. ok I can understand part of that but pharmacist should have manners and education on how to treat people. She definitely needs customers service training. I don't understand how can someone with her attitude is working there. It clearly seems she doesn't like her job. Horrible experience with the Pharmacy at this Walgreens location. I found them to be slow, disorganized, and unprofessional. I had to visit the ER to get stitches on Friday night, the doctors prescribed me ibuprofen and some ointment to keep the wound from getting infected. Saturday afternoon, I get a call from Walgreen's automated system saying my prescriptions are ready for pickup. I go inside the store, speak to the pharmacist, and she tells me it's not ready, that it may be a few more hours, and I should come back tomorrow (they close at 6pm on weekends). Mildly irritating, but whatever. Unfortunately I was out of town on Sunday, so I couldn't pick up until today (Monday). This time I go to the drive-thru. Gave the lady my info, she gave me a sealed bag. I asked her "is that everything"? and she said yes, nodding and waving me off in a way that felt very dismissive. I get home, open the bag, and find that I was only given the ibuprofen, but not the ointment (which is way more important). I drive back, spoke to the same lady at the drive-thru, showed her my hospital paperwork that showed there were not one but TWO prescriptions in my name. Her response? "It's not ready, you'll have to come back tomorrow". ...Are you kidding me? So now I have to wait until Tuesday for something that should have been ready on Saturday. This is unacceptable for a pharmacy. Imagine if this was a life-saving medication, and I had to wait an extra 3 days after being told it's ready for pickup? Not only that, but the lady refused to give me back my hospital paperwork, saying "No we keep this". Weird how I was able to pick up the ibuprofen without even showing you my paperwork, but when I hand it over to show you the mistake that was made, suddenly it's your property? Pharmacies shouldn't be making mistakes like this. My time was wasted, and my healing and recovery process is being delayed because WALGREENS can't get their shit together. You've been warned. If your health is important to you, go to a different pharmacy. read more

Super convenient place to find essentials. Workers are friendly. Prices are in range with CVS. The sales & clearance are great. Only downside is the neighborhood is starting to become a little shady. I live walking distance, but once it gets dark, I drive there. I keep going as I want this neighborhood store to stay profitable so it will stay for a long time. read more

The assistant manager 'Sarita" is the rudest person I have ever met. I went shopping on Sunday 10/27 and had a problem with one of my receipts when I paid, I asked for a manager and she came to try to help, she was extremely rude and treated me very badly, it is unbelievable that they have this type of person in a customer service position. The store itself is low on stock, but if you need help ask manager Maria. She's super helpful and was carrying out goods for another person when I arrived, and while I was browsing by wheelchair made sure to come help me with an inventory cart so I didn't have to carry anything, and found what I needed while helping others without slowing me down at all. I was on hold for 40 mins with the pharmacy. Someone picked up and said hold on, they never give you a chance to say anything before placing you on hold. I waited another 10 mins, the phone just rang before hanging up on me. Called back and again more than 3 callers ahead of me, of course. They are ALWAYS running behind, and so rude. If you need your prescriptions that same day ( sick kids or just anything) DO NOT count on them to have it until the next day. I should note drive-through isn't any better it takes 30 mins or more for each car at minimum. Even then if you get there 10-15 mins before the break time they won't acknowledge you and when they do they will tell you to come back at it's now break time. Ridiculous. read more

I placed an order for photos for pick up. Went today to go pick them up because they said that they were ready and the girl that was working, there was having a hard time finding them. After looking for a couple minutes, she called a manager over the walkie and asked where they could find my order. She came back to me and said they couldn't find my order even though it said it was ready in their system, she said, she looked everywhere and asked her manager. Her manager, said that she didn't know how to look for it either. Neither the worker nor the manager offered any solution. This is the second time my order has not been ready when it says it is at least the last time I went the worker made it for me then. It was quite a large order too. Once upon a time this was my go-to Walgreens location, but because of all the sketchy folks hanging out in the parking lot, I opted to travel a little further to avoid any unnecessary drama. Unfortunately they closed my favorite location, so now I am back where I started. As everyone knows, there is a drive-thru pharmacy, so that does help in bypassing all the riffraff. However, since they are usually shorthanded in the pharmacy, service and wait times are questionable. I've never received horrible service here, but I guess you can't expect too much from a drugstore right? Bottom line: It's conveniently located for a prescription drop-off, however be aware of your surroundings if you are forced in walking into the store after 10PM. Will I come back? Yes, but only because it is the closest location to my house. Side note: They are the ONLY place that sells Toffifay in this part of San Jose! read more

I remember when this place opened back in 1997 or 1998. I started going there almost every weekend just to check out the toy section and candies. I like this walgreens because its a good size, its always always clean and the service is good. Theres hardly any lines because they minimize the wait by opening up other registers during busy times. The pharmacy is great always helpful pharm techs. The photography department are real quick and will give u good service all the time. I like coming there to get small office supplies or drinks. I have to say the story my husband gave me 10 minutes ago when you came home is actually disappointing. Sounds like you have no compassion for patients or people. You told my husband was wasting your time. You also apparently had a patient as a costumer and you instructed him to go to the ER and when he asked you "where the ER" is, you apparently said "idk google it". I understand the pressure from doctors, doctor offices, hospital and even patient demand but the lack of ethic and lack of self awareness of your own demeanor is beyond me. If you are understaffed, underpaid or whatever is making you continue to act this way, take it up with your manager not on patients or customers. read more

Ok so this review has been a long time coming. I've come here for the past three years for my parents prescriptions. Prior to the time I started to take care of them. my mother would come here with my dad to get his prescriptions and she would always come home stressed out and upset because the customer service was horrible and they never had the medication ready. They are senior citizens. My mother is almost 80 Actually, my father just passed away. He had cancer so she was the one that would take care of him before I stepped in. I always thought that it was strange that my mother was always upset. Every time she came back from Walgreens and my mom is a very calm person so I didn't understand until I started coming for them. The service is horrible. Everybody is so mean and ugly to us. It's very slow. and heaven forbid that the prescription is not ready because then it somehow becomes my fault and I've been yelled at here so many times. I'm actually here right now waiting for my vaccine which I had an appointment for at 11. It's 1118 they're running late and this guy is blaming it on me. His name is CHOUNG. He is saying that it got late because I was asking a lot of questions he did not even answer my questions. This is not the first time he's been rude to me. He's rude to me every single time it's not my fault that he doesn't like his job or whatever the issue is. Also, I'm looking to get the name of the other person that was really rude to me a while back she yelled at me in the drive through area she asked me to go around again because my prescription wasn't ready and I didn't want to go around again because it was a lot of people and she started yelling at me really bad and saying this isn't a fast food dose it look like I'm flipping hamburgers I mean what the hell. And then there was another lady dealing with customers inside the store and I heard clearly when a customer asked her what was going on and she begin talking about my situation saying all these things and I'm like that's a HIPAA violation. I went to the manager. She said that she will talk to them and then another time that I came after that so many of them or just like staring at me and they refuse to come to the window and so they had someone else come and that's not OK they need to apologize and so I spoke to The manager again asking her for a corporate number and then she said to me what do you want me to do? I've already spoken to them to the employees that had been rude. I said nothing to her. I just said whatever give me the number she gave me the number I since called twice, have gotten no response back, but I will be calling again, this is unacceptable. Especially the HIPAA violation and I am going to get the names of those other two women that one that did the HIPAA violation and the one that yelled at me about not being fast food place this is not OK. My mom is almost 80 years old. She was coming over here and everybody's being rude to her as it is. People are always sick when they get here so this is not acceptable.. unfortunately, I have to keep coming here because it's the one closest to my house that the insurance covers. I am very very upset and very concerned about the treatment that people get here and as I said before, these people are elderly most of them if not elderly they're sick if not both this behavior toward the patient because we're not customers we are parents is not OK not OK at all. I hope to get a response at least from here and I hope that corporate comes down on them to tell you the truth I believe that the ones that were so rude can be reprimanded, but the person that violated the HIPAA should be fired. read more

Average Walgreens that's down the street for convenience. They have Photo, FedEx and Pharmacy which is convenient although the photo machines are not that fast and wasted almost an hour trying to work with one of them after waiting 30 mins because tHe other machine cord to connect to mobile devices were broken.
