I had just went to the Walgreens one last time here in Richmond, California today on February 10, 2025 and the store had just closed. Last month in January 2025, I noticed that a lot of items at that store were not on the shelves and some items were still there on the shelves as I could not find a Speed Stick deodorant at that Walgreens at that time and I had to go to the next nearest store Foodsco to buy a Speed Stick deodorant locked inside the case. read more

On the Walgreens site it shows you Walgreens locations where you can book COVID test appointments. I book an appointment for same day covid test at this location. I got there 5 minutes early for check in. The girl at the counter asks what I'm there for, I tell her I have a COVID test appointment. I give her my ID and insurance card. She spends 10 minutes visibility struggling to enter the information, sighing and huffing and puffing before she asks another coworker for help. They take care of a few customers around me who have been waiting since the first girl spent 10 minutes struggling in silence. The other girl comes to help and I give her an additional insurance card with other information. She asks "what time was your covid shot appointment?" and I say "no, it was a covid test." she just stares at me and says "what?" and i said "i booked a rapid PCR test for this location" she then tells me "oh we don't do those here" and the other girl decides to stop helping the customer she was currently helping to say "you said covid shot" I ignored her because I really didn't feel like arguing with someone who struggled with entering insurance information, and to slow down the check in she had going with the other person she was supposed to be helping. The girl who was currently helping me says "we don't do those here because we don't have a drive thru, i'm not sure why they let you make an appointment here sorry". I just grabbed my cards and left. This took 20 minutes of my time just for the "check in" process just to be told you can't even do it here. I see on the yelp they have covid testing information updated but why not on the actual walgreens.com page? Also the first girl who was helping was so rude! Obviously it's neither of our fault that the corporate walgreens site let me make an appointment here for a covid testing you don't have to get all defensive and upset. That really made this horrible as well apart from the false advertisement on the walgreens site. I had called corporate customer service right after to ask them to update it so hopefully no one else has to experience this. This is one of the few times I've had to go to walgreens, next time I'll just wait a few days for a CVS appointment to open up or pay extra to go to an urgent care. This was just bad read more

Place is easy to find. Plenty of parking. Service is so so. Some of the staff is nice but most seem irritated to help you. I only come here if I need to or if I already know what I need and where it's located so I don't have to ask anyone for help on anything. Pharmacy doesn't greet anyone in line. I work in a pharmacy and we always at least acknowledge the customers so they know we see them. They seem to be rushed or understaffed. Not the best location but I grew up in the area so I'm used to it and can block out the ghetto/disrespectful comments from the people that hang around outside. read more

Clean, wide aisles and courteous customer service. The check out is standard 6 feet, which makes it seem like a long wait, but your in and out quickly. Has a pharmacy as well, same six feet rules apply. Pleasant experience. read more

This is the first time I've gone to the Richmond Walgreens. But I've been getting my prescriptions filled at Walgreens for over 11 years and I have ran into a lot of customer service issues. However this Walgreens takes the cake. There is a lady that works in the pharmacy her name is HUK she is the rudest woman I have ever met. Not one time did she smile and when she was helping a lady trying to explain to her that she just had a stroke I could not believe how rude and un sympathetic she was. Not to mention gave me problems and didn't want to fill my prescription she was just a miserable human being and was so rude. They should never have people like this work in customer service. Terrible part of town. But the flip side is the store provides a needed service for those local to it. Don't go after dark unless you want to participate in Survivor: The Ghetto. Three days and they still don't have my prescription ready. They don't answer the phones. Decided to go in and found a line that stretched from the back (where the pharmacy is) to the front of the store. Top that off - the person who parked illegally in the handicapped spot and ran in was on the register - one of their employees actually took one of the three spots and was going to be there all day. read more

On February 28 2022 my daughter had a doctors appointment, i went the next day to get her medicine and the lady at the pharmacy told me come back tomorrow and i did and it still wasn't ready. The whole week i been going and they kept saying its not ready. On march 5th i got a call from a young girl that said her name was *** the exact name of my daughter, that she went to go get her medicine and got my daughter instead and she said she returned it. Today March 7 2020 i went back to walgreens to tell them about the medicine and they said they dont have it, that they don't know what happened to it and they cant do nothing about it!!!! This location is not in the best area and I would never find myself here at night. Located at a corner in a plaza, it's easy to find and there is plenty of parking. Be careful when walking into the store, as there will be homeless people or just a bunch of sketchy people in the front. The signs and staff are helpful with finding what you need. At times you'll notice that boxes are open and a lot of the merchandise looks old or used. That has a large factor to do with the clientele in the neighborhood and customers who go in just to destroy items. Occasionally there are coupons that offer $5 of $25 and on one occasion, a friend and I bought many things to make the balance over $25. After buying a package of Dayquil and taking it home, I realized that there was only one week before the expiration date. There's also a photo section here at Walgreen's which makes it convenient when ordering photos online that could be picked up. When checking out at the cashier, there is a high chance of being suckered into purchasing chocolates. They will try to sell you a candy bar for $1. Being allergic this doesn't appeal to me, but if with a friend or someone who has a chocolate craving, then I will go ahead and purchase it once in awhile. Recently Walgreen's started a Balance Rewards card, which helps to earn points and get rewards. It also allows you to get discounts on items. When in need of something at a drugstore, such as medication, lotion, make up, a greeting card, etc. I know I can find it at this location. read more

I would give ZERO stars if I could! I can't believe that the pharmacy is this slow! On person and the line is all the way down the aisle! Every time I come to get my meds the line is this long! This review is for the pharmacy dept. only. I used this pharmacy for one year and every time I went to pick up my prescription, which I had ordered online, there was a 15 to 30 minute wait. There is usually only one pharmacy tech waiting on customers. No matter what time of the day I went there, there was always a long line of customers waiting. I'm switching to another Walgreen's that is further from my home but a longer drive is better than standing around here. As far as the neighborhood, it's not that bad. I moved to Richmond (Atchison Village) from San Francisco last year. I feel safer here than in many parts of SF. Some reviewers of this Walgreen's mention the people panhandling. I've only had one woman approach me once here. In SF, it's a constant in pretty much every neighborhood. read more

The WORST WALGREENS IN THE HISTORY OF THE STORE! Not based on the location it's purely the staff. Lazy, unhelpful, and over incompetent employees run this place. Weekly when I go to this location as it is the only store in the area outside of Food Co (don't let me start there), the staff is terrible. If there is one person with a complicated transaction ie they are using a credit card, all systems shut down. If this was not bad enough as the line grows longer they constantly fail to try to open another line. Instead they would rather listen to customers yell at the top of their lungs as to where the help is. Do t go here if you can avoid it. If I could give a negative star I would. read more

After leaving Richmond Kaiser I stopped at this Walgreens to return expired cough medicine bought a few days prior. Ms. Kaur the manager walked over with a nasty attitude. She frowned rolled her eyes and in a high pitch voice said her shelf never has expired anything. I showed her the date on the box and the receipt showing the date I bought it. She kept shaking her head at me but did the return saying things under her breath. Avoid this location and that miserable lady! read more

This walgreens is a mess but its possible to find what you need. The workers are pretty friendly well some of them are... but they will show where the item is located. Only thing is that you have to brave the ghetto out side. and I mean ghetto people hanging out side begging for extra change or hustlers trying to sell knock off stuff. Absolutely horrible customer service! Gave them a phone call about my grandmothers refill and the lady literally laughed on the phone because the insurance doesn't cover it and I didn't know that. And then after that she caught such a rude tone with me when I told her I didn't appreciate her laughing at me. So upset I didn't catch her name but she sounded of Asian decent. I went to this Walgreens on 02/03/14 to buy some Loreal Advanced Conditioner which was on sale for $3 each. I had a $5 off coupon on any 2 Loreal Advanced products. When I got to the register, neither cashier would let me use it, they didn't even try to scan them. Walgreens policy does not state that I cannot use coupons on clearance items, I've done it before. The store is reimbursed for the value of the coupon anyways so really what does it matter. I'm very disappointed in their lack of knowledge on their own policy. read more
