Fast. Easy to shop at. Employees always nice & humble, polite. Never have any issues. I just stop by, get gas, and maybe go inside. I always expect it to be the same and it always is. I get what I expect! Thanks AMPM folks! You always do a great job. read more

I'm not one of those guys that subscribes to "this gas makes your car fart rainbows and flowers while it gets 300 mpg, that gas makes the boogie man appear in your backseat and strangle you." To me, generally gas is gas. I can say this though, because the gas stations within 5 min of Arco are all decent or better. I'll get the right octane for my vehicles, not just the fancy names thank you. With that said, two things are positive about this gas station and one of those things has a negative side to it. I like the recent freshening they've done. It makes the station look better, and it is much brighter now at night than before. The other thing is it is generally a couple or three cents cheaper than the other local stations. BUT... that's if you are paying cash. Using debit? Some ridiculous fifty cent fee or something. So much for the lower price. What I don't like is the debit card fee. Valero and World and Chevron and even the lil independent neighborhood gas station (all within 8 blocks distance) don't ding people for debit and credit. And the layout of the station. It is very cramped. That plus being located on a very busy street intersection means there's usually plenty of impolite drivers all jostling for the next open pump. Bring your touch-up paint cause it's gonna get rough. So, there ya go. read more

Prices are cheap for gas. Be careful. People drive in so fast to get a gas pump. Pay cash for cheaper gas.

Super cheap gas compared to other places in the neighborhood. About .10 to .20 cents per gallon, which is great when you need to fill up and save some bucks. I always bring cash or I'll go somewhere else, I never use their debit card machines. These types of pumps always get compromised and it's just not worth your debit card getting skimmed and compromised. read more

The cashier was real cool. He was makong jokes had hos cistomers laughing while he helped everyone thanked us for our patience real cool

Give this place a minus 5 *.this location don't even ask the customers if they have the ampm app they do whatever they want and they don't even have a washroom for the customers..I though arco ampm has a uniform policy because I been to plenty of arcos where I see the employees wearing blue and orange arco shirts and black or beige pants with black shoes. The guy at this location wears street clothes and I never seen him wash his hands after picking his nose. This place has dust on the shelves and the store looks dirty and smells really bad. They appeal need new manager and new employees for this location. Very rude employees at this location also. When I told him about the ampm app the employee became hostile towards me like he didn't understand that the ampm app is another store policy to ask customers if they have the app. Never coming back to this location. They should fire everyone at this location. read more

I had an interesting time trying to get my card to work so I had to pay cash, thankfully my husband had cash on him. They said no public restrooms, but when I asked he made an exception, which was great since I hadn't gone in hours. It's a gas station, it says it has top tier gas. So that's good for me. read more

This is a five star review and I loved coming here except for one problem. The lines, the lines, the lines. They are usually with in a penny or two of Costco, which makes it good. I like the pumps and using them when it's empty, but this is rarely the case. There are some serious lines here and people are aggressive and nasty. They also make some nasty moves to maneuver into the tiniest space. I've seen some people who were almost run over by illegal turns into the station, especially when people are crossing San Pablo Ave., at McBryde. I've had more clashes with people than I care to remember and the cheap price of gas isn't worth it. That is why they've lost two stars. The lines are way to long and the customers are horrible. read more

Almost pee'd my pants... who do I have to talk to for all businesses to offer awesome bathrooms for everyone! not just themselves.. I walked in and asked "is there a restroom" than the lovely humans who work their lied to me and said "no restroom" what they said to me was actually "not for you you smelly hippy" if Dr.Harger cant even pee here you shouldn't go there either. In my not so humble hyper-biassed opinion #hargerInnovations on the Plus side they sell the future of ending smoking the #juul which is the only reason I shop there... Love AM/PM but I had to pee on a bush cause these guys shunned me... the gas did make my car run... so I guess thats pretty impressive too.... go here for fuel and Juul s only... not to pee... I'll be back... but #nottopee read more

Racist. Been there sporadically and on the regular now that I live 3 minutes away. They always assume I am getting something I didn't get every time I come! Are y'all blind! And the cup of ice is free if you recycle the cup sometimes. Or .12, .25 or .33. Make up your mind. And I am saving your company money by rising my cup? I throw them away and get a new one every time. But I also recycle regularly. So I will do the environment a favor. read more

Ahhhhh.....good ol' AMPM. Classic indeed. Living near this joint is such a convenience. I love stocking up on my perk for Warriors games to watch at the Dungeon after a hard days work of spinning around my chair on the computer. Anytime i need gas to fill-up for the borrowed roommates escalade on 22 inch rims, a pack of smokes, blacknmilds, swishers, papers, a quick snack, or just a 40oz to freedom i come here! and why not! It's less than 2 mins away!! Where else can you get good quality quickie mart/gas station service from middle eastern clerks/owners who just so happen to speak a little bit better spanish than yourself and are down with the homies!?!? That's right. exactly. But i got mad love for this place. Always there in the morning..always there in the evening as well. The only downside that i will say about this AMPM here in Richmond is the recent new city law passed that liquor cannot be purchased in most Richmond Stations/Quicky Marts past 11:00pm. Some Local Ordinance. pppshhh that just going to cause more disgruntle people and more shootings here in Rich-Town LOL anyways 3 out of 5 ain't too bad. Come stop by and check out the middle eastern clerks with their fubu gear and their ice around their neck yo! read more

This location is tight, so bring your driving skills to make some of the turns required to position your car/truck correctly. Traditionally, gas is priced modestly lower than the surrounding locations. Usually 5-10 cents cheaper than what is paid in Oakland. read more

There are two different listings for this location. The other one is titled simply Arco. Anyway, check GasBuddy or your favorite gas price app and you'll find that this Arco consistently has the lowest prices around. The other Arco on San Pablo Dam Rd may only be pennies higher, but both locations have the same major challenge: Way too busy at almost all hours for the number of pumps and ways to get into and out of the station. And for this location that is true at almost all hours of the day. Patience is required at almost all hours and if you have PTSD from times of gas shortages and gas station drama in other states/times (say Hurricane Sandy-NY), this place could be a challenge for you. I've only ever witnessed a shouting match once, but you will see drivers displaying all kinds of acrobatics to get their cars near a pump. Cutting into line is not appreciated. (We've all known that since 4th grade or so though, right?) Staff is always courteous. Snack prices seem average. No gouging. One review mentioned risk of bank card use in gas station pumps, if that's a concern for you, many/most supermarkets sell ARCO gift cards at $25 and $50. Use those and you don't have to carry cash or go into the store. There is a small fee for using debit cards. (It amounts to a couple of cents per gallon if you're filling up a car/truck) read more

You can't pay with a credit card at the machines (only debit). Lame. Best gas prices, horrible set up (everyone overcrowded this place, and doesn't feel all that safe at night. read more

The prices are cheaper than most gas stations, I've noticed other Valero's are a bit higher. It's crowded most of the time, best time to go is early in the morning or afternoon. You can also get up to $20 cash back with no charge if your buying something. At 10pm they lock the doors you have to walk up to the window and pay. read more

The gas here always seems to have the lowest price in the Eastbay I always try to fill up because they're so busy 217 I seen their gas as low as 199 I'll continue to go to this Arco in my neighborhood read more

The younger black manager--sorry to use race, unsure of his name, resorting to description--who usually works nights/early mornings is extremely rude. I was in uniform and he was rude, can't imagine how he treats his other customers. If you don't like interacting with people or can't interact with people without using manners.. Maybe go work in a warehouse or somewhere "behind the scenes" so to speak rather than with people. Or learn some manners. Completely disrespectful. The fee to buy anything here isn't worth it no matter how convenient the location is for me if I have to deal with someone so completely disrespectful. I have people who cuss me out and try to fight me daily at work and I'm still not rude. You have no excuse. Continue on to the chevron near the freeway. Bypass this dump. read more

The price is always cheap for gas. The store is clean outside and inside and the employees are helpful. The coffee is always fresh and good.

Don't go to pump #2 unless you want to be doused with gasoline! Last night, my husband and I were on our way home and our motorcycle needed gas. I was standing about five feet from him and he pushed the premium button while holding the nozzle. His hand wasn't on the trigger nor was the rubber boot compressed. All of a sudden 1.3 gallons of gas shot out and sprayed me in the face and ran down the front of my body. My eyes were burning and I had to run inside and rinse my eyes out with saline eye wash that luckily they had on hand. Gas even got in my mouth. My helmet, scarf and jacket were ruined. The 25 minute ride home was the longest ride ever because I stunk like gas, the fumes were awful and my eyes were so irritated. I have called the supervisor and she has not even called back to see if I am ok. My ophthalmologist has advised me to continue using lubricant eye drops for a couple of weeks. I have to say though that the two young clerks working there were so nice, helpful and worried (unlike their supervisor). Someone either tampered with the hose or it's broken. I don't care if their gas is slightly cheaper. After what I went through, I will never go there again! read more

Everyday I get gas before heading for work. 99.9% of times I get $20 and last Monday wasn't different but since I had some gas if got filled up and stopped at $13.65 went in and asked for the difference sent back to my ATM the clerk said "it will automatically sent back" Ok I waited all week and today Sunday still the $20.65 charge on my ATM. All other gas stations put back as u go up to the register, why is this one different and not giving back what I did not use? read more

I wouldn't bother reviewing this gas station at all, except that I have learned that Yelp disrespects, disregards and sometimes removes good reviews written by real and honest people unless they write some bad reviews. So I thought to myself, "who has given me bad enough service to warrant a bad review?" and the first place I remembered was this Arco station because on two separate occasions (a few years apart) the person who took my money insisted that I had given him less than I had given him for the gas. At Arco stations they charge you for using a card, so if you don't want to pay extra, you have to go pay cash and then return to fill your tank and then go back for your change. After the first time the guy tried to cheat me out of my change I didn't go back for a few years. But they are often the cheapest gas around, so I eventually began going again thinking it might be new people. I asked for a receipt when I paid (given my prior experience) but the guy refused to give me one. And after a few visits, it happened again! Telling me I'd given him a 10, when I had given him a 20. I stood my ground and he eventually gave me my change, but it was infuriating that they were either trying to cheat people intentionally or were not bothering to see how much they were paid and then having the nerve to argue with the person who DID know what I'd paid. I gave 2 stars instead of one because some of the people that work there are very nice and don't try to cheat me, and they usually have the cheapest gas around. But it is outrageous that some of the people there try to cheat people of their change. Satisfied Yelp? ( I think it is also outrageous that Yelp removes or un-recommends reviews written by customers who rarely write reviews but who were so happy with a particular service that they wrote a great review. I stopped inviting customers to review me on Yelp after Yelp un-recommended 2 stellar reviews from very happily satisfied clients (who went into great detail in ways no one is likely to make up) just because they are not a regular Yelp reviewers. Seems dishonest and unfair.) read more

The door is open 24 hours and it is a very clean station. The doors are open at night, which is really nice so that we don't have to stand outside at the window at night. The gas prices here are always the cheapest around and the employees are always kind, greeting each customer with a "hello" and "good morning," and are very helpful. Their new paint job is always up to date and I never see any graffiti on the property. The gas pumps are very clean and the new lights really brighten up the place at night. There are always employees cleaning up the station inside and out whenever I come by. read more

I seriously just walked in to this place to grab something to drink and use the restroom after being on the road for 5 hours but both bathroom doors were locked. I grabbed some sodas and got in line. When I paid for my drinks I asked Monique for the bathroom key she told me it was locked in the bathroom. I then asked her if both restrooms were locked completely she gave me the dirtiest look and rudely said there is only one restroom... (There are clearly 2 doors labeled restroom). When I asked if there was a manager she told me to wait until she cleared the line behind me. I would have been fine with just an apology that there restrooms are out of order but instead Monique acted as if I was bothering her. This person should not be dealing with the public as she obviously is not friendly and has not been trained in customer service. Management should vet their applicants a little more thoroughly. read more
