I am giving 5 stars, mainly because of Joseph, who works in the pharmacy. He's a really friendly guy, who is very courteous, and helpful. Plus he always remembers exactly who I am, and greets me by name. If there's any small issues, he works it out for me, and gets me on my way with what I came in for. Other people could really learn a thing or two about customer service from him. Nicole is also very friendly and helpful! These two always make my visits to the pharmacy a pleasant one. There are some other friendly, helpful people there too, but I'm not sure of their names. read more

Hands down the worst pharmacy that I have ever been to! They told me that it would take 15 min to fill my prescription, ok sounds great, right ? I told them that I would wait, as I was sitting in their waiting area, I couldn't help but over hear one of the pharmacy tech's talk crap about another employee or I even think it was a pharmacist she was referring to because the person did not tell her that they wouldn't be coming in that day and it was another person working instead. She says to the other pharmacist that is starting her shift " What you're here today? Oh no girl, so and so didn't tell me you would be here, ima beat her up, ima beat her up" " She needs to be tellin me when someone else is gonna be here instead, oh no uh uh, I can't be dealing with this, ima have to beat her up" First of all, how unprofessional!!! Does she really think that it's ok to say things like that at work? Especially to your colleague in front of all the customers! It is none of the customers business to know what your thinking or how unpleased you are that you weren't informed about the change. Then to also threaten to beat someone up because of it! Absolutely disgusting and ignorant in my opinion! Now after about 30 min of listening to the whole staff talk about their own personal business, I decided to check to see what was up with my prescription. I was told "just a few more mins" 30 more mins, I was told "sorry there is a problem with your ins.... Worst Walgreens by far. The chola with the tatted eye brows in the pharmacy didnt know shit and was so damn slow. The guy ahead of me waited so long just to hear she couldn't fill his prescription and lost the paper. He waited like 30mins to get it back. I had the best experience at Walgreens (Redondo Beach) this morning. I needed a refill on my prescription but the pharmacy was awaiting approval from my doctor. No big deal, decided to get a flu shot & c if I was eligible for pneumonia shot, being I'm a senior. The pharmacy was quite busy with the drive ups, walk ins,, & phone calls. Jalpa, pharmacist, was running the show with her two other employees. I must say, she was moving faster than I could keep up. She, patiently assisted one of the newer customer service girl while the other employee covered where he could. She gave me both the flu/pneumonia Shot, which neither one hurt. Jalpa is very efficient, skillful, friendly & very patient. She, even had one of the workers laughing so I can add, funny. Great customer service, Jalpa!! read more

I wandered over here after hearing about a buy one get one free deal on Fat Hair products. Even though the sale had ended the previous day, the manager still gave me the deal since the sale tags were still on the shelf. I saved $30 and now I feel like a boss. Good customer service. The worst pharmacist assurance I have ever experienced. After having 3 wisdom teeth extracted not only did I get treated with no common courtesy respect by the pharmacy staff nor the pharmacist , my prescription was written wrong by my dentist which I understand but they offered no concern to call or have a new one faxed instead just looked at it and said the address is close drive yourself back to the dr. And I felt like I was being penalized for the error. I even heard the staff making remarks about me as I was walking away. I did write into there customer relations in regards to my experience they estimated wait for my medication 15 mins but they took one hour. It was terrible. read more

Large and spacious. However, it did not have as much of a variety as smaller Walgreen's I've been to.

Came in here this morning around 9 o'clock to grab some stuff and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. At least two employees greeted me. I don't think I've been to a better Walgreens than this one with such great customer service. The store was well kept and everything that I wanted to buy (including the Ricola cough drops that's currently on sale) were readily available. Not sure why the reviews are not at least 4 stars here but I really like this store and definitely will be back. read more

I would like to give them no stars what so ever. I made a phone call to get a refill on my precription i was on hold for 25 min. So i drove to the location and ome pharmist had a customer and the other pharmisit didnt have a customer. Really making customer wait on hold for 25 min. I work in retail and i always pick up busy or not. This is rediclous. I will find another place. Regrettably, Pharmacist Babak, M left his manners at home today. I went to pick up my prescription and was told they don't have it and don't carry the medication. I tried to discuss the urgency of the prescription with the pharmacist and he was totally unsympathetic and rude to me, essentially telling me it was too bad there is nothing he can do. In this day and age customers don't need this kind of nonsense from the pharmacist. I will not return to Walgreens Pharmacy after today. read more

It is really sad when companies cannot appreciate great customer service. I am speaking in particular the Pharmacy Dept. in this Walgreens. Amira S. was the Pharmacy Manager at this store on the corner of Hawthorne Blvd. & Artesia. Today as I was picking up my mothers prescriptions I found out it was her last day. I am so sad and upset how as a store that is doing great can just decide from personal feelings to let go of an employee who goes above and beyond and really truly cares for her customers in the Pharmacy. That was a wrong move Mr. Manager or whoever it was in that store that decided to let her go! And I know that im not the only person that feels this way. Two stars are for the management and other workers that this review is not about, most are very professional and friendly. This is in regards to the cashier last Nishirita (or spelled closely to that). I have dealt with her for years now since this Walgreens location is closest to my job. She has never been pleasant, nearly always rude but today was the worst. She scanned my items, took my $2 rewards away WITHOUT asking me whether or not I wanted to use my points, and acted like she didn't know why my total went for $18 to $20, then proceeded to hand me my receipt after placing my items behind the counter and walking away to a different register to ring someone else up. I had to reach BEHIND the photo counter to get my items and she stared me down as I left. She's checked me out plenty of times and it's never been this bad until today. I don't know if she's like this with all young Latina women but I am disgusted someone working in customer service would have the audacity to look down on a customer and treat them so poorly. read more

I was there today to pick up some prescriptions and needed some 4A batteries. Go to the back for my prescriptions first and they tell me their computers are down. I asked them to check for mine, she finds mine and I tell her my health insurance covers the cost, so she tears off the paperwork and hands me the bag. Off to the front of the store to get, very hard to find, quad A size batteries and lo and behold there is a single 4 pack, so I grab it and head to the register. The cashier scans the package and tells me I'm eligible for a second package with my Walgreens membership, to which I replied that's the only one. He says let me check, goes over to the battery display. grabs something and tells me there was an 8 pack, which he would count as 2 4 packs. So off I go. I get home, the 8 battery pack was triple A not quad A and my prescription bad only had one of the two I needed. Have to go back tomorrow and have to fix both items. read more

Literally the worst customer service at the pharmacy. The tech helping my mom and I were nice, he let us know that the meds wouldn't be ready for another hour, which was fine because he gave us a heads up. While he was looking at prescriptions I asked him if he can make sure that he had all the meds my mom needed because we didn't want to wait for something they didn't end up having. The rude "pharmacist" chimes in to say that my moms insurance wouldn't cover the meds. So I said okay well do you have the meds first? And she's like "we do but the insurance won't cover it." With the biggest attitude, and she didn't even check to see if they had it. so I said okay fine, how much would it be? So she says well we have to process it but we close in 3 minutes for lunch. So I'm like ok then maybe I should just go somewhere else if you're closing and you don't have time to check. And she goes "yeah maybe you should." First of all, the other pharmacies I've been to were able to check to see how much meds were before processing, so why is this any different? The only reason why I came here is because cvs didn't have what we needed. Home girl definitely needs to take some customer service etiquette classes, CVS over Walgreens all day. read more

Received a reminder to refill a prescription and I went ahead and did it. I was unaware that I needed my doctor's approval to get more of the medication. Two days before my previous prescription ran out I called Walgreens to see if my prescription was ready for pick up. They said I did not have approval and could not refill it. No call to let me know this was the first red flag... When I asked if there was a way to get more of the medication they said no and hung up. Unprofessional! I just moved here and haven't been to a doctor in the area...was just looking for a little help and instead was blown off. Will be looking for a new pharmacy. read more

Their photo department is horrible!!!! I brought my dad here to transfer his videos from camcorder to a DVD. It took us 3 hours to upload all the content. After uploading, it said it would be ready in about 2 months!! Loooooong time but we still waiting. My dad picked it up while I was working. When I got off, I find out it only had 6 minutes worth of video on it! Pic took it back and requested a receipt since they didn't give my dad one. They had absolutely no clue how to reprint a receipt. They said they could order the video again and have it in 2 weeks. My dad paid $80 for it so I wanted proof that it was paid so I wouldn't get charged again when we picked it up. They refused to give me another receipt. The manager couldn't give me anything or give me a refund because they didn't give me a receipt. Her excuse? She was new. I don't care but I want my money back! I waited way too long to not receive what I paid for! Another employee came and sighed through the trash and found the receipt which is how I finally got my money back after waiting 1.5 hours! There was a lady who brought in a disposable camera and wanted to drop it off, the girl said she didn't know how to do that so I warned her to go elsewhere! She did! read more

I only give them one star because I have to - this store is terrible. I ordered my prescription, they told me it would be there in two days. I waited for five as I was out of town and when I showed up, it wasn't there. The technician just said "I don't know what's going on" and was completely unhelpful. This is a good pharmacy and their staff is polite. Like all drive thru pharmacies, they get backed up at times but do better than most.

I have used the Pharmacy at Walgreens a couple of times. I really do wish that the Pharmacy Technicians would verify the customers insurance first before accepting any prescriptions. I dropped off my prescription. I pick up my prescription four hours later and the Pharmacist informed me that they do not accept my insurance and to call a number and to go to another pharmacy even though it was ready for pick up. I ended up paying full price for the medication because I needed it right away and was not about to go to several pharmacies at 3:00pm on a Sunday. Standing in line is a slow process especially when there is one technician trying to work the counter and the drive-thru. read more
