I almost never post anything negative, but in this instance, something needs to be done about Nadia, the pharmacist on duty that had the audacity to hang up on me. After 25 years in healthcare, I have never spoken to someone so rude and completely nasty. I was asking about a prescription for a patient and her nonchalant attitude quickly turned to nasty and hateful. She ended the conversation by saying I needed to send over another prescription (she would not let me call it in verbally, which I could since it was not a controlled substance) and that I had confused her. She then hung up and disconnected the call. The level of unprofessionalism is apparent within this Walgreens if this is who they have chosen to represent their pharmacy. A NO STAR review is more appropriate. I contacted my patient and advised her of what happened and she was agreeable to going to another pharmacy entirely. Please, I beg of you, try another location, a different pharmacy. Do not go here! Harris Teeter is right across the street, Falls River Pharmacy is not too far away, and I believe that the Food Lion up the street also has a pharmacy so there are other options. if you want a pharmacy that doesn't answer phone calls even though a voice mail tells you to. If you want a pharmacy that has rude staff if you want a pharmacy that has a 10-20 minute waiting line inside If you want a pharmacy who's drive through is not open due to staffing If you want a pharmacy who ignores the instruction for filling a prescription. THIS IS YOUR PHARMACY. The fault is not due to the staff of the pharmacy. It is due to the arrogance of the management of the Walgreen's chain. I recently read an article which talked about a father who is suing CVS due to their inadequate staffing which in his mind caused his 40 yo pharmacist daughter to have a lethal heart attack at work. The same is true of this site in SPADES. but appears to be the same for other locations as well. I have complained to the Pharmacy Board who said that everything was to standard, i can't understand what they were looking at. The pharmacy here is all but completely useless. They hang up on you if you call or they put you on hold and then they hang up on you. They lost my prescription in their computer system and told me that it was my problem to work out with my doctor (on a weekend), and refused to look further until I realized that it was part of a series of prescriptions that were all sent in at the same time. I had to show them the prescription in their app on my phone to get them to believe me. It routinely took me more than two hours to get regular monthly medication filled. They cancelled medication refills after I submitted to have them filled, and could not explain why. They didn't fill my son's prescription for antibiotics for an infection because our prescription plan changed hands. They told me that they will NOT fill prescriptions for patients who don't have current insurance on file until the patient shows up at the store, and told me if we did not have insurance we would have to wait every time. They had me sit at the drive through window for over 30 minutes while they filled a simple antibiotic prescription, and it was not busy! They let cars a couple of cars that pulled up in line sit behind me while they spent an unacceptable amount of time to fill a prescription in a store with three people working the pharmacy and almost no customers. Nobody talked to me or even approached the window once they went to fill the prescription. Then I was told that it took so long to fill the prescription because "adding flavor to an antibiotic prescription takes time." I have had kids for years. It's never taken more than 5 minutes. I have told Walgreens corporate how awful this store is multiple times over several years. They clearly do not care about how bad it is. Go to ANY OTHER PHARMACY!!! This one is terrible, and the best thing that can happen to it is to get bought out or close. read more

Terrible! This place does not update their in-stock products. I drove 30 min to this location only for the pharmacists and cashier to tell me an over the counter medication was not in stock... wtf! This Walgreens is conveniently located at the corner of Durant and Falls of Neuse in north Raleigh. It's just off I-540 and across from a shopping area with a Kohl's, Harris Teeter, and restaurants. Walgreens is a bit like Rite Aid on steroids. Greeting cards, make-up, batteries, OTC items, pharmacy (and drive-thru), but what differentiates Walgreens from its competitors is the grocery section. Other stores have "grocery lite", but you could nearly do your grocery shopping in a Walgreens. I also use this Walgreens for uploading photos online and having them printed for pick-up at the store. They are usually done far faster than the projection online. I like this location because it's usually not too busy and it's close by. I can usually find what I need here. read more

This location has staffing problems. Three times I've attempted to go through the drive through pharmacy and three times there have been signs in the window directing people into the store. This last time however, there were 2 signs. One telling people to go into the store due to staffing issues and the 2nd telling you there isn't a pharmacist on duty, do you can not pick up your prescription. I disregarded the 2nd sign on the off chance it was incorrect and it was. The line 8 people deep was proof. In the old days they could post a now hiring sign and folks would apply and fill the position. Thanks to the online only application process, things are as screwed up as they can get. read more

My 77 year old mother and I had a terrible experience, where not only were we provided erroneous information about our healthcare coverage but we were also racially discriminated against and belittled in front of local patrons during rush-hour foot traffic by an over-the-counter assistant (Michelle). Omg this place is the bane of my existence. Whatever you need from here, figure out how long it should take and add about 20-30 minutes. You have to hunt down employees (who are often in an aisle just chatting together) and never at a register. And if you have to check out they act like it's an inconvenience to them. And the pharmacy? Oh lord. I was very ill and needing to pick up medicine (as one does at a pharmacy) and could barely stand. There was no line and one customer at the counter so I figured I could suck it up and grab it myself. I waited about 20 minutes while the customer and worker chit chatted about nail polish colors and nail salons. It was insane. At this point a long line grew behind me. I eventually had to butt in and ask to be helped. I was given my prescription, which major attitude, and asked about an OTC medication my doctor suggested. The pharmacy tech proceeded to yell out to the pharmacist on the other side of the area what aisle is [medication name] in, and where is the medication to treat [condition]. It's mind blowing that someone in the health profession can get away which such unprofessional behavior not to mention confidentiality breach. Insane. Anyway, lesson learned. This location is HORRIBLE! I have had to pick up prescriptions 5-6 times in the last month and every single time they claimed they either didn't see the prescription or the Dr. didn't call it in. All prescriptions had been called in either the day before or 2 days prior. I can believe that maybe one Dr. may have missed calling in but 3? All different Dr.'s. . Even if they do see the prescription they don't bother filling it until you come to pick it up so you have to wait 45 minutes to an hour. Save yourself and go to a different location. read more

Had a positive experience the other day, so I felt compelled to add it to my collection of reviews. I went into the store to pick up a prescription for hubby. There was no line and the worker in the pharmacy got my prescription quickly and efficiently and rang it up with no errors. I was also looking for something prior to picking up the prescription, it took a few employees to find what I was looking for, but everyone was helpful so I have no complaints. I guess my take away from this experience is that I should not use the drive thru, as going in was a much more pleasant experience. read more

This pharmacy location is a nightmare. This time, I had a significant surgery and needed to pick up four prescriptions. The drive-through window said it would take 25 minutes. Great. We ran an errand and came back 30 min later. Nothing had been started. Now, 1.75 hours later they filled two scrips instead of four because they missed seeing them all. What?? I'm literally coming from the hospital and need these medications. The junior staff they use to run the pharmacy counter is indifferent and incapable of discerning when a prescription maybe needed in a timely manner. This pharmacy is grossly understaffed, and as a result, the poor staff is swamped and their customer service truly suffers. It's a very convenient location, and that's the only reason I've patronized this location for as long as I have. Unfortunately, after yet another unpleasant experience today, I will be transferring the prescription elsewhere. Please get these people some additional help, for everyone's sake. Edit: if you ask for flavoring, and they charge you for flavoring, you might want to confirm its actually being done. I have bought chicken flavored medication for a pet, and was just told today that they don't know anything about carrying chicken flavor. COOL. maybe you should refund the extra charges that have happened for several months for the flavoring that hasn't been happening, apparently. read more

every month I am prescribed the same meds, and they never have it in stock, so I have to go to another branch. I have been repeatedly told they would have it for me the next month, and they never do. When I remind them of their promise, they tell me they have no control over what is dispensed. When I remind them they do have control over what they order, I get a blank stare. When I ask why they always have it at another branch, they tell me they will have it next month, and they never do. They just made errors on my quantity after picking up a partial order. Just waited in line at the drive through window for 48 minutes. There were two cars in front of me. I thought perhaps it was because the two cars in front of us had complicated prescriptions. No! I needed to pick up one simple rx, and it took 20 minutes. The attendant would appear, ask a question, say just a moment, and then disappear for 5 minutes. Either incredibly understaffed or they have no idea what they are doing. Will never visit this pharmacy again, for any reason. You have lost our business! 48 minutes to wait in line when the rx was ready is absolutely unacceptable! read more

reviews from years ago still stand today. waited in pharmacy drive through for 20 min. has not moved. 2 cars in front of us. i just left. people have places to be and meds to take. horrible. they should have cars pull off to the side... and walgreens calls me every hour to tell me my prescription is ready. i even got a call while i was in line. i'll be looking into switching pharmacies.. it should not take this long to get a prescription. tell cars to pull of to the side or do your job efficiently. read more

Though Rite-Aid is my home drug store this Walgreens is close to my office and I like their wide range of items. It's a clean well laid out store and it's easy to get in and out of. Unfortunately I've learned the hard way that though a drug store might have a drive thru that is not necessarily a good thing. Let the buyer beware. read more

Coming from Cary Walgreens at ten ten and Kildaire I obviously had the bar set too high. This place is unbelievably slow. In addition every single member of the pharmacy personnel Ive interacted with acts like it is a huge PIA to help the customer. Phone conversations about switching meds from the old Walgreens were met with incompetence and missed transfers. If you ask a question about your meds they stare at the computer screen for an extremely long time like they have no clue what they are looking at. If you use the phone automated reorder and choose for them to contact the Dr for refills -forget it. You might as well call and get your nice dose of smug incompetence. If fact a staff person told me that feature will not result in them calling the doctor. When we moved here we chose this pharmacy despite the reviews because it is very convenient. We are moving to another Walgreens farther away. read more

Horrible experience. I needed a flu shot so I made an appointment for 6:30pm with their online scheduler. I arrived early at 6:10pm and waited in line for 38 minutes. Once I was reached the cashier told me that the pharmacists would be the one to do that, so I stepped over to the other line. There was one customer in front of me in this line. We waited another 5 minutes while the pharmacist did not even acknowledge us or tell us she would be with us. When she finally decide to ask what I needed I told her I had a 6:30 appt for the flu shot. She goes you need to get in the other line. I told I had just got out of that line per the instructions of the other employee. She then goes there is a wait I asked her what was the point of the appointment. She basically calls me a liar and says there are no appointments so I explain that is on their site and I have my confirmation number/email. She then goes well you should have came before 2-4 when there are two pharmacist. I finally ask her how long is the wait and she's like well I have 97 prescriptions to fill in front of you. I left my job early to make it not only on time but early for the appointment and to respect their time and mine was not. As a nurse I know that it would have taken less than five minutes to administer the vaccine. If the appointments are not going to honored then the scheduler needs to be taken down. Also, it is not your customers problem if the pharmacy is understaffed and the pharmacist having an attitude for no reason is unacceptable. Will not be back. read more

I rarely write reviews unless something is seriously wrong with a place. I have given this pharmacy more chances than I should have, but the location was just so convenient. I have no idea why a place this busy doesn't hire more staff. They NEVER have enough employees working so it takes forever to speak to someone, walk in to pick up, or use the drive thru. I finally had enough when I went to pick up my prescription and they were out of stock. I decided to switch and my new pharmacy spent 2 hours on hold with them just trying to switch my prescriptions. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this pharmacy. The rest of the store is great but whoever runs the pharmacy should be fired. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This pharmacy is the worst. It is close to my house but from now on I'll drive past it to go somewhere else. Multiple times I've had to wait when they said it would be ready in 2hrs, and come back and it's not. But this time takes the cake. I drive up to the window, give over my license, ins card, and debit card. She scrambles around 10 mins (of course script isn't ready as promised 3 hrs before) then she hands back my meds and debit card and license. No ins card. I ask can you hand me my ins card. She replies it's not here I must have given it back to you. I'm baffled, so I pull my car around and park to go inside. No card. It vanished. She said go home and we will call for you to come back if I find it! I'm now bewildered. I go outside look all around the drive through area and my car. No card. I leave. Today she calls and says it was found outside at the drive window, come pick it up. Who's lying? read more
